Hi all,

I've been on this site all week so I think I'm getting back into the swing of things.

On January 4th, I decided to start working hard to lose weight. I started at 189 and my goal is approx. 135 depending on how I feel as I lose. I'm 5'3''.

This has been the longest that I've stuck with a weightloss plan in a looong time so I'm very proud of myself...it's been 19 days, wow! :D It's Thursday now, so tomorrow is my weigh in day. So far I've lost 6.6 lbs and 6.5 inches, so I'm thrilled! On Fridays, I'll usually eat whatever I want and probably wont exercise. So I'm looking forward to tomorrow!

I wouldn't consider myself on a diet. I've just cut out crap and I'm trying to watch my portions. I'm really trying to do this properly this time. As for exercize, I've decided to do Jillian Michaels (from the biggest losers) 30 day shred weight loss dvd. It has three levels. I tried level 3 yesterday. It was HARD! but I did it! and I only needed to do some of the modifications. I can definitely feel myself getting stronger. I'm also doing pilates and I do bellydancing once a week.

My motivation behind all this is two fold...I want to look good and feel good, especially for the summer but I also want to be healthy. I'm very much overweight right now and it's not healthy at all. I've seen the horrible things that happen to people who aren't healthy and I refuse to let that be me. I'm only 23 years old.

anyway that's it for me! I'm gonna go do level 2 and 3 of the dvd and we'll see how that goes haha.

Just one more day and then I can relax for 24 hrs!!!

I did it!!

I did level 2 AND 3 and it was TOUGH! I'm so proud of myself. I wanted to give up many times during the workout but I didn't :D:D:D:D
 
So today is the day!! I haven't weighed myself officially yet but I was more concerned with my measurements anyway...I'm down a total of 4 inches for this week!!! :D

so I don't think I've lost much weight this week so I'm down about 6.6lbs and 10.5 inches...that sounds like a lot of inches!!! I guess that means I'm doing this properly? I'm exercising my ass off. My clothes are definitely fitting better.

I guess I'm wary because I'm sooo used to using the scale as an indicator and I'm not doing that as much now so hearing myself say I've lost 10.5 inches is just weird. But I had a lot of inches to lose so.
 
ok so it's been a few days and I haven't exercised since Thursday. Yikes! I took Friday off at my treat day and then on Saturday I did a 12 hour relay for cancer soo those 2 were write off's but there's no excuse for sunday and yesterday. I'll try and get back at it today.

As for eating, I did not eat well friday or saturday but since then I've been trying to get back onto the wagon...no junk or anything just maybe bigger portions than I need to lose weight.

I'm now having a healthy breakfast....at 12:40 :p cheerios, vanilla soy milk, orange juice and a banana :D yummmm

i hope everything is going well^^
keep on working out and losing those inches!!!
