Killing the last 10 pounds!

Hi Everyone!

Some of you may remember me. I was here from about Feb-May of last year. I got so close to my goal, and then just let go again.

My name is Kim. I'm 24.5 years old. Married, no kids. I'm 5'2" and started my weight loss in February when a routine visit to the doctor told me I was 131lbs. My goal then, was a bit unrealistic. I wanted to get down to 108lbs. I've never been that small. Even in high school I was 118.

When I was dieting, I got down to 116. I still wasn't happy with my weight, but eventually my weight loss plan sort of fell apart. I got a new office job, that I am very happy with...and for some reason I forgot how much I wanted to be thin.

Anyway, I'm up to 119.4 today. I gained about 3.5 pounds in the 3 months that I took "off", which isn't terrible, I just wish I hadn't gone backwards.

My current goals:
Do 15 consecutive Pull-ups. (I can do 7 right now)
Swim for 1 hour every Monday.
Get down to 116lbs by Thanksgiving, 113 by Christmas.
Log all my food and stay between 1200 and 1500 cals/day.

Hello Kimmy, long time no chat. ;)

How are you doing?

I think you can make this battle in no time flat! I remember how dedicated you are!

I realize those last 10 can be a real biatch too! 3.5 pounds up in 3 months, that's pretty fly. That's basically maintenance.

Take Care

Ah Running Girl!!

You're great! Thanks for posting on my new journal! I'm so happy to see you still here!

Yesterday I did OK:
No breakfast (0)
Sweat Potato for lunch (230)
3 Slices Homemade pizza for dinner (850)
1 Oreo Cookie (60)
1 Reeses Peanut Butter Cup (80)
16 oz Diet Coke (0)
Total: 1230

I ate terribly and did no exercise. I make it a point to walk my 4 flights of stairs to my new condo though.

(BTW guys who used to follow me! I bought a house in September!! We moved in October 1st and we're finally all settled in -- we just bought our last appliances; washer and dryer - I love it!)

Hey Kimmy, happy to see your new journal!

Congrats on the move, we just finished one ourselves.

And 3.5 pounds in 3 months is nada. Hell, I just gained five pounds from my period alone. :p

Good luck!

:gnorsi:

Thanks for the encouragement! I know 3 pounds isn't really bad AT ALL. I was so surprised when I got on the scale after 3 or so months, and that was all I had gained.

I'm hoping that this 10 pounds will come off as fast as the first 10 pounds did! I'd be so stoked if I could see 110 by the new year!

I weighed in this morning at 118.9!

That's down 1.5 lbs from MONDAY! I did really good yesterday, I think.

Peaches and Cream Oatmeal (130)
Mircowaved Yam (200)
Nutri-Grain Bar (130)
Egg and Cheese Sandwich (600)
Fat Free Frozen Yogurt (100)
Banana and Berry Smoothie 8oz (150)
Total: 1310 Calories of healthy food! lol

And I jogged to work today. It's only 1.8 miles, but whatever.

Not good, not terrible:

Avocado (170)
Banana (105)
Lentil Soup (360)
Spaghetti (600)
Garlic Bread (130)
Microwaved Veggies (100)
Twizzlers (95)
Total: 1560

I jogged to and from work. 1.8 miles each way (a total of about 40+ minutes). Didn't weigh in today. I'm planning on not weighing myself until next Thursday. We'll see how that goes.

Holy heck did I have a bad weekend!

I set myself up for failure by suggesting to my husband that we go to Chili's on Friday night for their 2 for $20 deal. This includes appetizers AND dessert, plus an entree that was definitely not low-calorie.

I didn't even count calories that day. I wouldn't even know where to start in guessing. I am sure I was well over my limit.

Saturday should have been better. We got up, I had an avocado sandwich for breakfast. I dropped my husband off at a basketball game, and spent the duration of the game just speedwalking around campus. I got really tired after about 1.5 hours and sat down to watch a swim meet.

Then we went to a football game, and I decided to get a veggie wrap for lunch....UNTIL I SAW THE PRICE! $9 for a wrap!? So I went across the way and got a bean cheese and rice burrito for $5. I had that and two mini cookies that were offered to me by the man that sits in the seats next to ours.

Our team won the game, but I lost the battle. We went out to eat after the game and I got not one, but TWO ice cream cones...and a grilled cheese sandwich, FRENCH FRIES and a york candy bar.

Bad times. We came back to my house and drank beers. We can just throw that day out, too. Seriously, terrible.

Sunday wasn't much better. I didn't even try. I'm a failure, I'm PMSing and bloated and fat and I'm not in control.

Back on track today!
Lentil soup for lunch...and that's all so far. Monday is my swim day!! Gotta make time for the pool!

Heya Kim, don't beat yourself up too bad over the weekend stuff, I had a particularly heinous one myself...I didn't bother tracking calories either because I was either fasting or stuffing my face.

I'm PMSing and bloated and fat and I'm not in control.

You're describing me LAST week, lol...I totally feel you. I'm still trying to work off two period pounds.

Oh well, it's a brand new day!!! Good luck getting to the pool!

Wow. Was I really away for more than 10 days!

My boss is doing a cross-fit workout class which is VERY intense. She's giving me her workouts and I do them on my own the next day.

On Wednesday my workout was:
100 pullups
100 situps
100 pushups
100 squats
400 meters rowing
(you're on a timer, you can't move on to the next exercise until you finish the one you are on. you can rest, but obviously your timer keeps ticking)

I could only do 25 unassisted pullups before I was falling on my face, so I moved to assisted pullups and finished out my 100. I started my situps on an incline, but eventually moved to no incline, probably because I was lazy. Pushups, I wasn't lazy on. I worked my ass off to get to 100. The squats were SO HARD. I didn't expect them to be as hard as they were. I finished them, and moved on to rowing (which was pretty easy).

After my workout, I thought I'd go for a leisurely swim. I got to the pool and there was an aerobics class in it that was almost over. I went to the hot tub to do some stretching. I almost didn't make it down the stairs. I WAS SO SORE.

Yesterday I could hardly walk. Today isn't much better.

I started off my morning with 30 squats, 65 situps, 25 pushups and 2 minutes of "jump ropes" (with a pretend jump rope).

I had 2 scrambled eggs with a little cheese and salsa for breakfast (300 cals). I'm back! I'm going to look like her for the summer...

This is an old picture, from April of 2009.
My weight hasn't really changed at all since then.
But I think my body looks better in this picture than it does in real life, and I think it will inspire me to get down to my goal weight of 112.

I'm going to do it, guys!! Please cheer me on!!

Hey Kimmy,
It was nice to see you found my diary, thanks for your support. We are pretty close to the same size.
I keep a picture of myself at my heaviest weight above my scale to remind me that I don't want to be that person anymore. I like your idea about having a picture of yourself at your goal weight.
Keep up the good work and stay positive!
Kristie

I'm also trying to get my hair close to my waist. Stupid hair never seems to grow...

I've been doing good and bad lately. I'm very happy lately. I've been working out, but just from home. I spent a lot of time doing Yoga videos because they made me feel better after my last very intense workout.

I'm having a hard time getting passed that two week hump where you are sore all the time. I want to be very muscular and skinny.

I haven't had ice cream in a long time, so that's good ;)

hey kimmy, thanks for stopping by my diary...always nice to see some of the ol' regulars, i was away for abit and now see that most of the people who joined around the same time as me dropped off the face of the earth! but in my case i still have such a looong way to go so definitely need to stick close to the forum for accountability.

I'm having a hard time getting passed that two week
hump where you are sore all the time.
I TOTALLY AND COMPLETELY FEEL YOU ON THIS STATEMENT LOL! i think i also just wrote the exact same thing yesterday and today in my diary. getting back to it is soooo damn hard! and to top it all off the soreness is what totally kills it for me, it really dampens the whole "workout mood". so all i want to do is sit on my a$$ lol! but i'm hanging in there, i know if i'm consistent by the end of next week the soreness should start to subside which i'm REALLY looking forward too.

wishing you all the best on the journey to loosing your last 10pounds, YOU CAN DO IT!

Okay, here I am. I have't been coming around here much, but I have been doing AWESOME!!

3 days in a row at the gym! I made a gym buddy. We go together and make each other work out hard!! We've done classes the last three days, and one day was only a strength training class, so we did the stair climber for 25 minutes afterwards. Ouch, it burned! I'm so glad we did it though.

I've been consistently around 1350 calories. I'm hoping I can drop to a solid, muscular 108lbs by March 21st. My new goal.

This past week has been very bad. I was goofing around with my husband and slipped on ice on concrete on Friday night.

Everything has been painful since then. I started using the stairs again yesterday, but haven't been back to the gym.

I've been using chocolate chip cookies to take away the pain.

I've gained 1.5 pounds. I'm the highest weight I have been since May.

Crappy.
