Are you able to control yourself? I get full fast, so one or two pieces is good enough for me. Start with a salad (dressing on the side, please!) to fill your tummy a little, then have one or two slices. You should be fine. Have fun!!
 
It's proabaly late by now - but I hope you went and enjoyed yourself. Just make up for with a little more exercise. Have a good night!!
 
Pizza OD!

Well, I went ahead and ate pizza!!! Half a one to be precise. 4slices (apparently 300cals a slice-OOOOUUUCCCHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Never mind. Was pleased with myself earlier inthe day at least. I'd had a tin of soup (200cals) for lunch as normal, which normally fills me up, but a couple of hours later I was STARVING and had v bad chocolate cravings too. I actually got as far as putting my shoes on to go get some chocolate from the shop, when I thought 'what am i doing?!' and went and made myself a tuna salad instead!! (but I put dressing and seeds in it and then had some toast so it probably ended up being more calories than a chocolate bar-at least it was healthier calories though right??

So, totals for yesterday (not looking forward to this!!)

Breakfast

Big glass smoothie 140

Snack
yogurt 100

Lunch

tuna with toms+dressing+seeds 260
2xtoast (wholemeal) and jam (no butter) 200ish

Yeah I know this was a pretty terrible day. AND my second bad day this week. Never mind!! It was a treat right?? Havent had pizza for over a month!!! And I'm going swimming AND walking today so hopefully will burn off a few more of those nasty calories!!

it's alright dear! I always have treats for myself but i know as long as i have controlled days as well as treat days it'll be fine :)

For those of you who have been following my swimming progress, my second lesson went fantastically well!! I actually wsam 3 lengths!! (3 x 25m) not quite without stopping, but nearly. My swimming teacher housemate says I was silly to have said I couldnt swim coz I can, I just need a bit more confidence and practise!!! :D :D :D

I'm weighing myself in the morning (its midnight here now) and I'm a little nervous!! 5 out of 7 days this week I have been very good, and I didn't go TOO crazy on my naughty days. And I have done more exercise this week than I think I ever have!!! Yet I don't feel I've lost much :eek: Oh well we'll find out in the morning I guess, I'll let you know!!

Resisting pizza is hard...it just tastes so freakin' good! Just try to not to get into the 'treating' mentality. A treat is one thing, but there has to be limits to the treats or else we can rationalize our way right out of our diets.

Keep up the good work and take hold of those temptations!
 
I tend to rationalize the treats and then go overboard... so I just don't do them. If I want something, I have it and just make room for the calories. You did well today AND congrats on picking something other than chocolate!! While it may have been more calories - your body is thanking you for the extra nutrients too. Big step in the right direction - keep it up!!

Just weighed. Not happy. Doesn't seem like I've lost ANYTHING this week :( :eek: :(

I know I've rather messed up this week, but I still thought, with all the exercise I've done... AND I weighed during the week and thought I'd lost :( :(

I'm on the pill, and had to miss my gap week, so I feel permanently like my periods about to start (soz for graphicness guys!) inc bloated and grumpy, do you think this might have something to do with it? (I hope not coz its still another 2weeks before I can have a gap!!)

Who am I kidding, trying to make exuses, it's just coz I messed up this week!! Never mind. This week I will keep exercising as much as I did last week, but I WILL NOT MESS UP :( :( :( :(

I think it's normal to have a couple off days or even an off week from time to time. As long as it doesn't turn into an off month and then plural...you will be fine. Seems like you've been doing a great job. I can only hope to have that kind of willpower some day.
 
Help?

Grrr my computers being a tard, taken me AGES to load every page today-v frustrating!!!

Any one got any advice on what to do to make sure the needle on that damned scale has moved next week? (Other than NOT CHEAT which I am definately going to do!) And I've planned my exercise for the week too. At least an hours walk a day, 1 gym session tomorrow, 1 water aerobics on wednesday 1 or 2 swimming sessions (fri and sun), yoga/boxercise dvd on thursday.

If it is water weight (or other fluid weight) I'm hanging on to is there anything I can do?

Should I restrict my calories more? (Average for last week 1400 cals ranging from 820 to 2400, with most days being about 1200. I could probably cut down to 1000. What is the minimum calories you can consume without metabolism slowing down? Oh dear, I don't think I've got a v good attitude towards this- I should probably just be patient, but I've been doing so well so far-help pleeeeease!!!!
 
first of all, you should know what your basal metabolic rate is-you can find out online--just google it. mine is 1500 i'm 5'5" and 160 lbs and 22 yrs old. but my goal intake is 1300 cals-i think 1000 is too little for you (if your need for the day is 1500 like me). i didn't quite pick up the whole period issue-but i do know that you gain a bit of water weight right before and during your period-it's normal and goes away after your week is over.

also, if you want a breakdown on how much weight is actually coming off you this week, i suggest you figure out how many calories you are actually burning through these excersizes (fitday.com can help). then it's just a simple act of subtraction from the foods that you have eaten and the excersize you are getting each day. remember, it takes 3500 calories to lose a pound-so a reduction in the amount of calories you eat along with the amount of excersize you get will add into that.

p.s.-we all have weeks where the scale can hit us right in the gut, but knowing how we screwed up is the first step to making things right-keep going with the plan and excersizes and you'll definitely see a difference (if not at first on the scale, then in your muscles and body measurements!)

Thanks!! I calculated by BMR as you suggested, it's 1542, so I should definately lose weight doing what I'm doing!! Never mind, I'm feeling more positive this evening. I've decided to try the No Carbs After 5pm, no food at all after 8pm thing this week and see if that makes a difference!

Good luck with the changes - don't worry about the scale. You're aslo exercising and muscle weighs more than fat. Have you taken your measurements? It could be that you've lost inches instead!

Hey guys, does anyone have any sugeestions for some tasty, no/low-carb dinners, around 400cals?

I've never tried the no-carb thing before, and I don't know what to eat!!!
 
Your are doing very well hon. I know how you feel about the that time of the month thing because that's often what happens to me. Don't sweat it. Just knows that you are losing,and you are working hard!

I found some chubby pics of me (didn't think I had any!) And tried to post them on the other forum (b4+after) to help motivate me but I can't get it to work somehow!! (Think I'm a bit thick on computers, it took me several days to figure out how to post my ticker!!!)

I tried just copying them from my My Pictures folder and pasting into a new post box, but it doesn't work!! Either the option for paste is inactivated, or it just doesn't paste them!!

Am I being really thick?? How do you do it!!
 
Do you have a photobucket or photostorage account on the net? If oyu have that there is an option when you are starting a thread that allows you to put in an image, and it will ask you for the url for the image. In photobucket your given three different options, url, tag and img. Copy and paste the url and come back and paste it where it asks for the url. Don't know if that makes sense. Let me know!
