Kez tries again!!!

Howdy kezz,
Thank you for stopping by and say hi.
Wow goodlucl with tomorrows goals, thats alot of workout!
have a great day Tammy

Hey Kez,

Glad you are feeling better, n you sound like you have had a fab day, good luck for the exercise day tomora, wish i had that 'want' for exercise, if i keep plugging away, i know it will happen one day!!

Grrr at revision, its a bitch huh? I keep doing what you are doing, and giving myself the 'these are my finals and REALLY matter' talk, and end up doing bugger all about it. Today is the first day i have even picked up a book with any real commitment, and yeah its gone pretty well, feel good about what i have done, but have also realised how long it will take me to properly prepare, cant rush through the mountain of stuff I gotta revise, so I hope that I will continue to plug away at it tomora too, and that today is the kick up the ass i need! Hope you get back on track soon too, when is your first exam, and more importantly when are you all done??!

have a great day tomora,

Kato x

It's great to hear that you're really feeling better now.

Congratulations on staying on track with your intentions - 2 hour's exercise is a lot, but I guess it will fit in well with the revision studying. I always found that getting started with the study was the hardest part. Spending time taking care of your body should break things up in a way that complements the study, right now.

Good luck with it all. :)

(It does suck about the 10 smilies doesn't it! :D)

Thanks guys!

Kato, I have 3 exams, 14th, 17th and 22nd. All 3 hours long. I was doing so good at revising until about a week ago, and since then I've been slacking! I gotta pick up the pace again.

I might struggle a bit today as I'm gonna be sleepy. I am one of those people who REALLY needs 8 hours sleep a night, and last night I got less than that! I was staying at my bfs, and not only was he up til gone midnight doing an asignment, but his housemate (in the room above) was getting very thoroughly 'reacquainted' (sp?) with his long-distance girlfriend all night! *shudder* There are many things I am nto going to miss about being a student!

So, I am going to do an hour workout at home now, instead of going to the gym as planned, as I have no money lol! It WON'T be an easier workout though. When I do my boxing dvd it burns more calories than the gym! So without further chitchat off I go to do that.

PS. Here are my measurements, and my Summer Fitness progree chart. I did it to post on the Summer Fitness thread but I want them on here too to keep me motivated!

Hey everyone! Having a little work break so I though I'd check in.

Ive done an insane amount of exercise today, seriously, I've apparently burned over 1000 cals wow! I felt great straight after, but BOY I'm aching now! Esp my back.

I have also, now that I am better, printed off the couch to 5k running plan (I think it will be better than the other one I found as it gets you up to running a higher distance!) I have also printed some warm up stretches etc, and stuck it to the front of my wardrobe. I'm going to start tomorrow morning bright and early (so hopefully there won't be too many people around the park to see me puffing and panting!) I'm actually really looking forward to it :)

1000 calories!!! WOW!! I'm impressed! I bet you got a buzz from that - no wonder you are revved up for tomorrow. I hope it's a good day for you. :)

Everything sounds great. I'm glad you're doing so well. I'm also doing a running program right now. I always ran indoors, so I'm finding outdoor running to be quite a challenge. It's great that you're feeling "into it". Good luck with the running and with the finals!

Total calories burned today = 3019!!!!!:D

Calorie deficit = 1759-3019 = -1260

Verdict

Well, pretty good I think! I met most goals. I worked out at home instead of the gym but I actually burn more calories doign a home workout! And my calories were 259 over, but I don't feel remotely bad about that seeing as it is the deficit that matters, and look at that!

It was also a good day for revision, I've done over 8 hours, yay! Very productive. :D

Oh yeah, goals for tomorrow

1) jog! (day 1 of couch to 5k, its like walking/joggin intervals)
2) Walk 1 hour, to uni and back.
3) 1500cals
4) Weigh again (I'm hoping to dip under 154 soon, I really should, I've had good deficits this week!)
5) 8 hours hard revision!

Morning all! (or afternoon, or whatever your time zone is!)

Well, after my massive legendary 1000cal workout yesterday, I felt SO good! Pumped and happy and FULL of energy and life.

I woke up this morning at 7am, not so! Achy and grumpy and very sore!

BUT I have put off starting this running program by almost a week anyway, and I couldn't bear to do it again, esp. as I'd been looking forward to starting!

So I went out and did it anyway. Day one, so it was 1 minute jogging, then 1.5mins walking, repeat this 8 times. I did it REALLY slow and gently, I don't want to hurt my muscles more, they are all already cross with me for making them work so hard (even muscles I didn't know I had!)

Now I intend to take it kinda easy. It'll be 1 hr walk later today, and hopefully a swim tomorrow, and hopefully that won't be too difficult!

I am not actually in PAIN, just very sore, I would describe it as, so I'm not particularly worried, but maybe I should have taken it a bit esier yesterday! I dunno..... I wish my body had told me it wasn't happy whilest I was doing the workout yesterday, instead of waiting til this morning!!!

Kez you are sooooo disaplined with your exercise, im impressed!! In a month I am gonna do the couch to 5K programme, hoping that by hten I will have seen fitness improvements n be ready for the challenge, so will be great to follow your progress with it! You have a stopwatch? Or what did you use to time yourself?

Good luck with the revision today, always tough on Fridays!!

Kate x

Thanks! I think todays gonna be a tough one for revision, I'm too tired and achy, and my brain is feeling slow!

Unfolrtunately I don't have a stopwatch, even on my phone! So I just used to second hand of my watch, which wasn't as difficult to use to keep track as I thought it might be!

By the way, the distance for this morning was approx 1.8 miles (including warm up walk and walk home)

It was 2 and a half laps around local park. I think next time I'll go on roads, a bit easier than on grass maybe!

Yeah, I was menna be having a big working today, n so far done nowt but listen to the chris moyles show. But Jo Wiley annoys me, so now im off to make coffee and buy a paper, whoops!!

I have an amazing park just by the house, its huge, walk across it to uni, and would love to jog around it, but give me 30 secs n i'd be doing ashmatic ant impressions!!

Good luck at finding that revision motivations, it sucks huh??!

x

Thanks!

Jo Whiley annoys me too! (though not as much as Edith grrr!)

This is what I found helped me to focus yesterday.
1) UNPLUG THE INTERNET CABLE!!! (I do not have enough self discipline to resist surfing the net between revisions, and that 5 minutes can so easily turn into an hour!)
2) Drink LOTS of tea!
3) Listen to upbeat motivatey type music like Michael Jackson, and the Dirty Dancing soundtrack!
4) Plan what to do hour by hour and tick it off.

Now I just need to get of my arse and start taking my own advice!

Unplug the internet cable??! thats a punishment worse than death!!!! Im off to the library soon, cannot work with all the distractions!!

Good luck x

Howdy Kezz,
Wow I would be so lost unplugging the internet
cable I may not even know how lol.I hope you have a wonderful
weekend,Tammy

Just went out to the pub for an impromptu lunch, chose moussaka, mistake! I didn't realise how oily and creamy that dish is! And it came with garlic bread. And it wasn't even that good! Greasy and a bit bland.

So I've googled moussaka calories and got an average of a few values, plus garlic bread = 826 cals  That's too many calories for meeee!!!

Looks like it'll be salad for dinner tonight!

Right. Now I REALLY have to get of this forum and do some work! (If anyone sees me on here between now and 10pm tonight, shout at me to go away!)

OK - you're temporarily banned until 10:00 pm...

Granted, I'm the worse one here at figuring time differences ;) Is that 10:00 pm MY time???
;)
