kelly's diary

Took my two week measurements this morning. Not a huge change but was down 1/2" on my bust, the smallest part of my waist, my abdomen and my hips. Arms stayed the same but upper thigh down 1" and my neck down 1/4

The biggest difference was two weeks ago I weighed 182 and this morning was 177 for a five pound difference.

I will do my bodyweight routine exercises this morning and I should go for a bike ride. i'm helping a friend out with some stuff and its hard to focus on exercise right now but I will try to do it for me.

Hey Kelly!

The pounds just seem like they're flying right off of you but they are definitely reflective of your healthy food choices and working out. Your food intake looks flawless!!! It looks like you're hitting all the fruits, veggies, and protein. No wonder the weight's coming off!

Major congrats on the 6lb loss in 2 weeks!!! That's amazing!!! Amazing job with the inches loss as well :)

I'm living on vegetables and coconut, eggs and supplements, those are my staples. Beef jerky yesterday was delish. 2 or 3 oranges mid day. I haven't looked this good in years. There is light in my face and I see that I am getting slimmer. I don't care if I lose any more weight but I am going to keep on with the fasting and feasting and its very likely I will continue to lose.

Dealing with some difficult stuff so missed a workout today but I'm gonna make up for it tonight by going to my zumba class which I was gonna blow off because its so loud. But I will go in the interest of self-care.

Tomorrow I will have time to do my bodyweight routine and go for a bike ride.

Happy Valentine's Day everybody.

Wow!! Your weightloss is amazing!! Those are fantastic numbers- both in pounds and inches!

Congrats on your hard work :)

Down 2 pounds today to 174. My BMI is below 30!

Have lost 11 pounds in the last month and two days.

Have gone from size 16 jeans to 14s that are loose on me.

Have found a satisfying way to eat that is easy, not counting calories, just aiming for a bit of protein with my carbs which are coming from fruits and vegetables mostly and not starchy carbs. Tons of water, enjoying flavoured black coffee. Moderate exercise only, nothing extreme are too hard but I am strengthening my muscles with bodyweight routine. Riding my bike for 45 minutes on flat land every other day.

This is the most success I've ever had and I know it is coming from juicing, having my body in an alkalized state and ready for fat burning. The ph strips I bought are a useful tool.

WOohoo!! Nice going from a 16 to a loose 14!!

Grats on the weight loss! I hope you're treating yourself to a new pair of jeans ;)

Hey Kelly,
You're doing so well! Congratulations on all the loss, and well done on the fantastic diet and exercise.
How did Zumba go? A work mate went this week and when she came to work the next day she was so sore lol. She said she loved it though, and laughed all the way through!

You should be so proud of yourself :)

Kelly,

You are doing SO well. Congrats on losing 11lbs in one month. That is AMAZING!!!!!!

You are seriously kicking butt. I am going to start copying your diet plan. I think my weight loss seems like it's in a bit of a rut and I think it's because the carbs I am eating are coming from starch. You set an amazing example!

At this rate you're going to be at 150lbs in no time. Keep it up!!!!

Drinking a jug of juice with some fresh coconut. In the juice:

1/2 cucumber
romaine lettuce
bok choy
kale
celery
parsley
2 carrots
1 apple

Gives me 3 tall glasses of green juice.

For more on fruits and veggies see my friend Dan McDonald on youtube.

Am at my darling bf's tonight and he is making me supper. Taking a break from exercise. Stocked up on lettuce, parsley, cucumber, kale, celery and swiss chard for juice for the next few days. Cost $18. Will eat whatever is put in front of me the rest of the time. Today we got two walnut crunches from Tim Horton's and I ate only half of mine which satisfied me and gave me a treat.

Still feasting when I do drink juice, I fill up completely with two or three glasses of it even. I figure I'm 30-40% raw right now.

One way to eat less is to remember and commiserate with those who do not get enough to eat. I know it sounds pie in the sky but I think Audrey Hepburn said that. Remember those less fortunate. My bf is a light eater and sometimes it is because he doesn't have enough. That makes me more aware and okay with fasting for part of each day. The other day I meditated on "emptiness"and it began with the empty feeling in my belly. I am not intentionally starving myself but I have changed from taking food for granted to appreciating it more and it DOES TASTE BETTER. The last two nights I had toast with butter and I felt like I had died and gone to heaven, just something as simple as that tasted SO GOOD.

I feel as long as I drink a jug of juice once or twice a day I am doing myself a huge favour and I just appreciate so much the rest of the food I get to take in, whether a simple tuna melt or homemade freezer meal. I just devour my food now.

I am looking and feeling happy, secure in my relationship and working on being "okay"with whatever IS. Being okay if I'm home alone and not with my boyfriend. Being okay, you know, with the inherent unsatisfactoriness of life as it presents itself sometimes. Focussing on my joy and its constant availability to me. Sometimes there's nothing to do but wait and so I pass the time trying to enjoy myself. Well, I think dinner is about to be served so I will sign off for now. Kelly

How exactly does this juicing work? What happens to the 'pulp'? Is it still in the juice you drink, or is it strained out somehow?

Wow!! How do you find the taste of the juicing? I did it once years ago...and just couldn't get into it! I'm not sure if I was doing it right or not, but I found it way too thick and just didn't have an appealing taste!

What ingredients do you mix together? Do you put all of the ones you listed in your post together!? I have to admit, drinking kale just doesn't sound yummy!

I'm glad that you're happy and enjoying life! That's one of the most important things we can do :)

That is a hard thing to learn how to do. Takes decades to learn. I'm still learning.

Have been taking some time off from exercising and weight loss effort but still eating clean. I use at least eight vegetables each time I make juice and it is GREEN for sure so you have to be able to stomach that. But it is true, ONE way to lose weight is to eat mostly fruit and vegetables.
Food yesterday
black coffee
two glasses vegetable juice
hard boiled egg

bowl of 2 oranges

dinner - 4 oz ground bison
1/2 cup brown rice
glass vegetable juice
after dinner multiple slices of toast no butter but jelly
1/2 fresh coconut

I have been getting in to eating butter and ghee that I made - but stopping short of going out and buying chocolate bars. If I emotional eat I am going to eat oranges and curtail the ghee which I think a little is okay.

Haven't weighed myself, but think I'm still 175. Stoked to be able to wear long johns under size 14 jeans. Going to focus on getting veg juice in each day and eating oranges or other fruit for energy in the afternoon. Protein is eggs and coconut and a little meat. Focussing on live foods and allowing a little indulgence, like butter or ghee.

My knees are less painful since I have lost weight. They are the reason I will continue with this effort as I need to be able to do gardening.

Having said that I have lowered my weight loss goal to 145 because I think it is attainable with exercise and the type of food I've been eating. Have to get off the couch though! I can see that 30 more pounds is possible, it is less than what I have already lost which is close to 50!!!

Somebody ought to give me a kick in the butt and get back to exercising!! And by that I mean doing my bodyweight routine though I think it might be over. Still I have managed some activity these past days with going for walks - snow on the ground. Also shampooed my carpets these last two days.
