Keeping on loseing

So i`ve been loseing weight for 3 and a bit months, i`ve managed to lose 30lbs so far and would like to lose another 20+ pounds before the summer.

i`m really amazed with the difference 30lbs has made, i`ve had to buy smaller size gym t shirts and now looking into smaller sized casual t shirts(oh my god its gona cost a fortune to replace), no no i`m happy to buy smaller sized t shirts they look tons better for one and it shows i`ve come along way.

it all started when my mum sent me a very good cook book with the amount of caleries in each meal next to it, so i started off cooking all the meals at 500cals or less alot of them were 200 300 cals but i know now that was lies for pasta(slight exageration). dam those small portion sizes lol. well i ended up buying every cook book in the series from the book my mum sent me and its really kept me going all threw the 3-4months and i now feel i can always cook healthy so will never put this weight back on.

Food. basicly each day i will have muesli or corn flakes for breakfast, a ham salad sandwich for lunch and a meal from one of my cook books for tea. eating only fruit at night. i also drink alot of tea, milk 1 sweetner if your making lol:hat:

Exercise. i`ll try go 2 to 3 times a week but somtimes only manage once but least i try. i mostly like running on the treadmills(trying to build up for a outdoor run in the summer) but i`ve started doing weights recently, just my upper body so not many but its extra.

i want to say thanks to everyone on these forums for helping me so far...

well i`ve split up with my gf, i really hope it doesnt effect my weight loss. i`m already wanting to go pub and feel like missing the gym:ack2:
 
sorry about the break up man. i know how that feels, on a brighter note, take this time to focus on your and your goals and use that emotion to drive you forward with your progress.

ALso, work lower body! the legs are the largest muscle group in the body and it makes up for most of the calories burned. get those puppies burning!
 
You have done a great job so far, so there is no reason for you not to reach your goal, hang in there after your breakup.

I agree with kureransu, if your going to hit the weights you need to be doing lower body at least, if your not used to it the DOMS will be worse than upper body DOMS but it will do you a lot of good in the long run.
 
Well done on the loss so far, that's great! Sorry to hear about the break up though - maybe use it as motivation to keep going! The exercise could keep your mind off things for a while?

Had a terribal binging weekend, my gf came to see me then toulk me to hers for the weekend and i eat nothin but junk. then last 2 days i`ve eaten very heavy food, hopeing its just holding water from the pasta and rice.

get my good shopping in tomorrow so i`m gona be cooking a few veggy dishes before the weekend starts again, also hopefully will be going to the gym tomorrow aswell.
 
well today`s going well, been to gym already and my shopping came. so far i`ve eaten a yogurt and salad sandwich on brown bread, later i`m cooking new vegatable mussaka, the ingrediants look great i`m just hopein i can put it all together. its time to lose some this week after not loseing any for last 7 days.
really pleased i went to gym after the hard start to the week after comin back from gf`s:party:
 
Sorry to hear about your gf. I had a falling out with my bf as well. I think focusing on yourself is the best thing to do for both of us.

I love muesli cereal! Good job on the weightloss! That's awesome that your mom was the one to give you the book. PS I assume you and the gf got back together lol or you found someone new really quick lol

had a lovely spring vegetable stew tonight and its put a spring in my step for tomorrows weigh in, especially after being 3lbs down from weighing myself last night.
hope i get up earlly enough for gym tomorrow morning or i`ll be weighting in for parcels again. it shows how far i`ve come yeh i am shopping all the time but being up a extra few hours a day and not binge eating i think i`m doing really well.
 
Congratulations on the weight loss. I am just starting out, so it's always good to read other people's progress. I'm looking forward to reading your future posts.
 
2lbs down today and when i weighed myself tonight the scales look very promiseing for tomorrow woohoo:driving: going to gf`s tomorrow tho so not getting my hopes up for a big loss over the weekend.

today i`ve just eaten a bowl of cornflakes, ham salad sandwich another ham salad sandwich becuase my new laptop stressed me out so couldnt be bothered to cook and i just had a boiled egg 80cals.
 
i didnt do to well last night, went to cinema with gf and got a big bag of pick n mix, i had some help but not much eating it all. then i had some bread when we got back.

today i just felt like i was traveling all day with the trains messing me around, didnt get home till 6 and i skiped breakfast so i`d had nothing all day, so i had a sandwich soon as i got in then i was still hungry so had a slice of toast and some beans. i know i havent eaten much today but i`ve been busy, unsure what the scales will say tomorrow i just hope i havent gained.
 
didnt manage to get to gym today which i`m a bit disapointed with but i`ve eaten really healthy, with a vegatable stew for dinner, salad sandwich for lunch and cereal for breakfast. the scales are looking very promising for tomorrow and i`m hopeing for a further loss for the febuary challenge.

i`ve lost 9lbs already this month and anymore i lose now will beat my personal best for amount lost in a month.

i was 10lbs down this month and 4lbs down for the week so i`m really happy.

had a cream egg at dinner but i hear there only 200cals, other than that i`ve just had a sandwich and some cereal. tonight i`m havin salmon with veg.

i actually split up with my gf in the end, she actually turned it around and left me so we just said goodbye. i`ve actually started talkin to a old friend again, she`s alot younger than me and made a point i never seemed interested in her in that way then when i said i liked her she said she wanted to come down. i`m puttin this down to feelin good in smaller size cloths becuase noway would i normally go for a girl like this. it just shows a bit of weight loss can change ur life and also to have goals when your with somone will help u in your future.
