Cooking dinner before leaving the house can be very helpful in combating overeating. Keep at it, Katy, feeling lighter is too wonderful to give up on.
 
Getting your evening meal organised is a really good idea Katy. C'mon hon. I just came over there & gave you a kick up the bum. You can do this. Summer is coming up for us :D
If you lose half a kilo between now & Christmas that's 6kg lost that you never have to see again. 6kg will have you looking & feeling much lighter. If you really get motivated it can be more. Go Katy!

Day 17 came and went. I was busy but happy that I managed to eat well all day.

Day 18 today
Its a nice day here in Melbourne the sun is out so Im going to go for a walk before I go to work. I have all my meals organised so if I can beat those cravings today will be a very good day.
 
Hi Katy. You asked me if I do 5:2. I have been doing it since August last year, but am struggling with it these days. It is hard. Really hard. I find I get quite emotional on fast days & these days abandon the fast if I do. I have been succeeding in doing one fast per week for the last couple of months & that is maintaining my weight. It may be easier in Summer again. Tuesday I felt I just had to do one, after a weekend away & I felt much better afterward. Have a look at the 5:2 forum if you plan on trying it. I want to get back into doing 2 days a week again to lose 5 more kilos, but am waiting to feel super motivated again. I'm not sure that it is a sustainable plan long-term as it's very hard to fit in with most people's lives.

Thanks Cate, I might see how I go first, I certainly dont want to make myself so hungry that I overeat and ruin the fast
 
Day 19

Today has been ok didnt overeat but didnt make time for exercise. Tomorrow is a public holiday so Im looking forward to a nice long walk and cooking
 
Hi Katy! Nice to meet you! I just read most of your journal and I see that you are doing well! You seem to be having the right mindset and method to reach your goals, I hope that you can keep it up! :)
 
Day 20

The sun is out again today which always helps me feel more positive. If it stays this way Ill do some gardening. Im working tomorrow so I need to prepare my food. Mostly I just want to be moving most of the day today and take advantage of the nice weather. I have a plan of what I will eat so just a matter of not letting my husband talk me into pizza or something else - yes sometimes he is more of a hindrance than a help time to have another chat with him- if he wants pizza he can eat it somewhere else!

I have a wedding to attend in about 4 weeks so it would be great if I could be feeling better about my body by then. I know Im on the right track I just have to keep the ball rolling
 
The sun is not shining here today Katy. Did you get all the crazy rain yesterday or did it miss Melbourne? We had 60 mls & it just started up again.
I'm glad you are feeling positive today. Have that chat with your husband. Keep moving hon. You'll look good at the wedding I'm sure xoC

We had a bit of wind and rain but nothing compared to what I thought it was going to be after reading the severe weather warning. I think some places in VIC were bad and SA of course.

Plus you know Melb four seasons in one day so might rain yet
 
Day 21

Getting ready for work...cant be bothered. At least it should keep me on track because my meals are all ready to go. Weigh in tomorrow...not sure what to expect
 
Not all work days are stellar... but I hope this one is better than you thought. Best not to expect anything when stepping onto the scale, unless you know your body very well and can weigh salty food/exercise/amount of water drunk/food eaten/waste products eliminated/hormonal influences against each other in your head. Which doesn´t mean I don´t always hope to see a smaller number than before, but... It really should be about getting more information about yourself, not about the exact number.
 
Just wanted to pop in your diary to say hello because I don't think I've posted here yet. I hope you have a good weigh-in. But if you don't don't get discouraged.
 
Day 22
Weigh in day lost 1/2 kg this week so overall have gone from 80 to 77. Im happy to see a loss I thought I might stay the same. What makes me happier is the 1.5cm off my waist this week. This week id love to work hard enough to see 1 kg loss and more off my measurements. My meals are planned for the day and im about to exercise. Ive still been working away at earning stars and I have enough for my first reward yay! Feeling positive so time to make the most of it!
