Kat's weight loss diary

Vacations are nice, but wreak havoc on willpower

These past two months have been crazy. I decided to start a diet and have been doing pretty well. But, right smack in the middle was a week and a half trip overseas, a week trip to Portland, a weekend trip home to visit family, and a long weekend where I had family come visit me. 20 days out of 60 that were very challenging to keep to a proper low calorie diet, since it involved lots of eating out and lots of opportunities to drink. It was difficult to know how much I was eating. So I just tried to watch my portions and not go crazy with the carbs and sauces. And eat plenty of veggies.

Still, the weight is slowly coming off. I have been pretty good about getting in an extra mile or two of walking everyday (not so much during the vacations), but I have been seeing consistent, if slow, results. And i haven't gained weight back at all.

I still am having trouble getting motivated to do really active things such as jogging or longer, more strenuous workouts, which is what I desire. It's difficult to find time except in the morning, but i cannot get myself to wake up early enough to do so, even if i get to bed early enough (tonite is not one of those nights) I enjoy working out, once i am doing it, but it's difficult to start it. Ugh,

Anyway, still showing results, but I am having mixed feelings as I would like to see faster results. However, I have in addition to weight lost, lost 1.5 inches off my waist, which is encouraging, and one full dress size.

But, at least ten pounds lost in two months is good, so i should be happy. And slow weight loss is better anyway, right? It means the weight is more likely to stay off.

Another day, another dollar.

Down to about 143 this morning. Nice to see progress again. I have officially passed my first goal, which was 145.
Measurements are
Bust 37"
Waist 29.5"
Hips 40.5"
bicep 11.25"
I see a nice definition in my waist now, and my legs are definitely looking thinner. I also would like to see my arms get a little thinner so I added that measurement to, to see if my arms will lose some bulk. However I would really like to add definition, so added weight lifting to my regimen (think angelina jolie, or madonna). Right now they just look like sausages with no definition at all. oooh, they are so sore now.

Consistently losing

Down to 142 today. Feeling good.

I feel like i have a new wardrobe because all my clothes fit differently (things that looked like crap before, now look almost stylish) I was also able to pull some things from the back of my closet to wear that were too small before.

Anyway, diet's goin' good. I'm eating really healthy and inspiring some of my friends to do the same. It's really interesting how some days I have been discouraged and other days, I feel more excited over my progress. Today is a good day.

Almost at my goal!

I have reached 136! I'm just a few pounds away.

My measurements are

Bust - 36"
waist - 28"
Hips - 39.5"

I have lost a total of 3.5" off my waist and about 20 lbs. I feel great and I look great. I am thinking of treating myself to a new handbag or a new wardrobe. I do need new clothes. A lot of my stuff is too big for me now. :)

My husband doesn't mind too much either
