Oh - and the wedding pics... there are some posted on the first page of my journal... including the one that is my avatar =) hope you enjoy!!!

I have been doing okay... and just okay with the weight loss lately. While the past three days have been good, the week before has really been hit or miss. And I've gotten exercise about 3 times this week, which is better, but I would really like to get even more in. Even if its just like a half hour walk before dinner - anything to get my body moving!

Since the beginning of the year it seems, i have been gaining and losing the same five pounds over and over again. I'm at 150.8 now (after being 153 at the beginning of the week)... and I just cannot seem to get below that mark! And when I do, I can't sustain it.

But no more! I'm losing it this time! I start a brand new job on January 1 - I will be the pastor of a small church, which means I need to get me some professional clothes (rather than all of my grad school clothes). My goal is that by the end of december, I will have gotten to my target weight of 135, will be able to maintain it, and can use my christmas money to buy some new pieces for my work wardrobe. But I have to get there first!

I actually have quite a few cute skirts and jackets from last summer... last summer when I weighed 140. Heck, even if I get back to there, I'd be happy and could wear those clothes without my tummy buldging out!

your wedding pictures are absolutely lovely... not only are you and your husband gorgeous - the photographer did a wonderful job capturing emotion as well.. those are some ofthe better wedding pics I've seen... and again, you're beautiful :)

thanks for all of the lovely comments about our pictures - we love them as well!! My only frustration is that the photographer has not given us our copies yet! It was all digital, so we get a cd with the images, as well as a bunch of prints... but so far, all we have see and can download are the low-res images from the website =(

in other news... no calories to report from yesterday. Not only did we go to a wedding in the afternoon w/ tons of appetizers and yummy items, but then my husband and I together at a pizza and drank a 12 pack of beer during a five hour movie marathon. eek! At least I got some exercise yesterday morning before the festivities began.

today - okay but not perfect. I had a krispy kreme pumpkin spice donut during sunday school... which I completely DID NOT NEED!

calories today: 2020.... crap - we did mcdonalds for dinner again =(
h2o: 16 + 16
exercise: none yet

Katie!!! Those pics were soooo beautiful!!! And you, my gosh! You were STUNNING!! I can't believe I didn't see those pics earlier! I'm sorry! I can't believe how nice those pics were, from a photographers point of veiw too (I used to be a photographer) You must have had a great one!

It all looked soo magical! I'm so happy for you :D

well, crap... the scale went back up to 153. I just feel like I have this invisible barrier at the 150 lb mark... but it all has to do with MY food choices. I have been exercising this past week, but all the exercise in the world will not help me if I eat pizza and drink beer on Saturday night and have McDonalds on Sunday night.

New week - new start...

total cals: 1339
h20: 40
exercise: -

did good yesterday... and i'm doing good today!

total cals: 1479
h2o: 16 + 32 + 32 oz of iced tea (no sugar)
exercise: 1 hour long pilates video + 1 hour playing wii sports (= 26.9 miles/615 miles to Iowa)
weight: 151

I'm going to start weighing myself every day... i think that it will help me keep on track - knowing that whatever I eat the day before WILL have an impact on how much I weigh the next day and the next and the next... Just changing up my food for one day showed a 2 lb drop in my weight... of course, some of that has to do with water weight and what not... but it gets me motivated!!! And one of the reasons I stuck to my plan the day before was because i realized I had gained. so - here we go!

wii sports MIGHT count for exercise - but I'm only counting one hour as 1 mile worth of "walking"... i was a little out of breath at one point - when I was boxing =)

alright... i was out of town since friday for my brothers wedding... didn't do horrible foodwise trying to get back in the swing of things here too

i gained a couple pounds over the wedding, but by this morning i'm back to where i started... sheesh!

this is such a busy time in school... i have a rough draft of a project due today, another 18 page paper due on Monday, and then another paper due next Thursday. eek! It makes it hard to fit in the exercise that I need to do - I'm getting up early to finish reading for class and staying up late working on assignments. But I have been eating better this week!

life has been NUTS!

but - i have maintained my weight despite not being able to make it to the gym or exercising... BONUS!

yesterday, I got in half an hour of exercise through my on demand cable (gotta love exercisetv)... and today - it was 70 degrees when I stepped outside at 9am this morning and so I went for a walk/jog for about 40 minutes... it felt AMAZING!!! except my butt kills from the squats the previous day.

food wise, I made a homemade chocolate cake yesterday. So somehow I have to figure out how to eat it without gaining a billion pounds. My hubby will help of course - but geez - it tastes so good!

my food today:
bkfst - special k protein cereal + skim milk (175) + tea (2)
lunch -
snack -
dinner -

total cals -
h20 - 20 +
exercise - 2.5 miles today (30.4 miles/615 to Iowa)

that's awesome for you... :) it's kind of good to know where your maintenance levels are....

Hey! It's been a LONG time since I've been on here - not sure if i'll be keeping up a diary - I tend to lose patience with writing in food every day ;) lol. BUT your wedding photos are GREAT you look fantastic!!
We got a puppy right before xmas so I've been going on 10-20 minute walks 2-3 times a day, plus going to curves 2-3 times a week - still holding strong at my same weight, lol grrr...but have lost a few inches here and there
Keep up the great work!!
~nicole~

By the way - I just noticed on your ticker that you are halfway to your goal! WOW!!! Thats fantastic - enjoy the cake a LITTLE bit each day that way you will look forward to it and maybe keep yourself on track all day knowing you are goign to have that bit of cake later ;)
