I suppose i best start off with how i came to be overweight.
Ive always been thin, well, not fat. Up until i was 17 i was always 9stone or under which was fine by me being only 5ft 2 and 3/4
When i was 17 i met my now boyfriend and moved in with him and his mum and had dinner there every night which always consisted of deep fat fried chips, lots of meat and no veg! within a year id put on nearly 2 stone, fluctuating between 10 stone 10lb and 11 stone. I always thought to myself, "as soon as we move out ill cook all our own meals and will soon loose all the weight".
Well before long we'd been moved out for a year and my weight hadn't budged and i was stuck between 10 stone10 and 11 stone. I was working part time having finished my college course and missing my teenage body, even though im still a teenager!!
Well on Monday the 28th of February of this year, i without any warning had a spur of determination to loose the bulge and get back into shape.
Week One
I dont know where the spur came from but it saw me get my dusty gym card out and head to the gym, i went to the gym 4 times the first week, doing 20 mins of crosstrainer, 15 minutes of biking, sit ups, press ups, and weights for my arms and a bit of jogging on the treadmill. Within a few days id gone from 10 stone 10 to 10 stone 7 and by the end of the first week i got down to 10 stone 5. My diet this week played a major part and i found myself being able to stick to about 1000 calories a day (i know some people dont think this is unhealthy but i didnt go hungry - i substitued snacking with cups of tea!) so im aware most of the weightloss was just water!
Week Two
I got myself to the gym on monday but didnt get there on tuesday, i think tuesday was my lowest day and i accidently nibbled on some chocolates so i decided to start allowing more 'bad foods' into my diet and just trying to keep an eye on the calories in them and making sure i didnt over do it which i didnt!
Well its now Thursday, i went to the gym last night too and when i weighed myself this morning i was 10 stone 3lb so im ultra happy and just trying to watch what i eat and make sure i get to the gym tonight again. My target was to get to 10 stone by May for my birthday so i know if i stick to what im doing ill be able to get there, and maybe even closer to my summer goal of getting back to 9 stone!
