60 minutes in two sessions. Heavy depression. Being objective about things is not really possible, but am trying my best.

60 minutes in one stretch. Just climbing out of depression. Should not take long. :D.

Back to the bad days. 30 minutes done for the whole day. I got problems. This is the least I can do amidst the problems.

4th Week, Day 7,

120 minutes of jump rope done so far.

120 minutes in 4 sessions. Was pretty solid. I am feeling like am getting back on track again.

End of 4th Week. Okay, let me debunk what happened exactly.
It is because of the depression that I didn't do the full quota for the week. Rephrasing.
I blamed it on depression and didn't do it. I should rephrase that further...
I didn't do it. Searched for a reason then and blamed it on depression subsequently.
I should never do that again. Okay. Here are the numbers.

I am just gonna remember next time that this shit beats depression and amounts to mental health as well. So, it should not be avoided or messed with.

I used to have a big problem with over eating and what is normal and what is not. I solved it somehow. Still, I ate stuffs out of peer pressure and sometimes as a gesture of accepting hospitality. Sometimes it is crazy, what is actually an unusual amount of useless unhealthy calories could easily pass for what is normal and fun. I had to fight the urges against carbonated drinks. I don't drink(at all), so am glad that is not a problem here. I certainly binge eat stuffs. Eating stuffs was a way for me to escape depression. I eat variety of stuffs when am depressed, so have to control that.

Okay, so basically what am trying to do here is, EAT NOTHING OUTSIDE THE MEAL TIME & EAT PROPERLY. Not less, Not more, but what is good to satiate the hunger. Am not gonna report what I ate, am just gonna enter the meal time (which would mean, reporting the number of meals as well). I am guessing, it would become a habit for me to log the meal time and eat at the same timing everyday, which should bring about a change in sleep and proper workout timings. I am starting this today. Here we go,

10:35 : 1st Meal
14:15 : 2nd Meal
17:45 : Watermelon Juice with a friend
20:20 : 3rd Meal
23:30 : Half a burger(without cheese) and half a cup of french fries. (While watching Captain America Winter Soldier)

Beeminder Graph is bordering on ORANGE color, It could turn Red if I miss it and then blow out. I have a Day and an hour left to catch up to my 2hrs/day 14hrs/week routine. I have to do some hard work and bring it up to the color GREEN, like before. It is tough though. I will see what I can do here. :(

Eating timings for the day:-
10:00 1st Meal(mini)
12:05 2nd Meal(was hungry as fuck, so)
16:50 3rd Meal
20:50 4th Meal

5th Week, Day 4,

233 minutes of jump rope done so far.

Beeminder Graph,

Update 1: Beeminder Graph is still having ORANGE border, I am lagging behind 2hrs/day in total calculated from start. I should bring it back to blue or green.
Update 2: Beeminder has turned blue after 120 mins of jump rope.
Update 3: Beeminder has finally turned to my favorite color of green after 233 minutes of jump rope in a single day. My highest ever.
I have finally caught up to the routine and my remainders. I am not feeling any discomfort nor any pain. It was a crazy day though.

Eating timings for the day:-
10:50 1st Meal
15:25 2nd Meal
16:40 Orange Juice with no Sugar(yucky)
19:20 3rd Meal, Was too spicy
19:50 Glass of milk (no sugar) with two biscuits(no sugar). (was feeling uneasy because of the spicy food)

Okay, I have fallen off the wagon. I am letting go of this bee-minder. Am feeling slight bit guilty about this but I just don't feel right about continuing this. Will start again in a few days, probably with a change of routine. I am thinking of incorporating body-weight workout sessions as in the startbodyweights.com program and doing jump rope on alternative days. I have learned a lot about my body and working out in the last one month of doing this. I have lost 3 kg in the process. My hip size has gone down a measurement. It is all good. Am not stopping by any means. I am just thinking to change this routine and am taking a small break. Will get back on this soon.

This is really fucked up guys, I fell off and never got back on, it has been ten days.
I don't see myself doing the body-weights thingy. That was simply my excuse to fuck up what I already had going for me.
I am getting back to jumping. I don't have a choice. I will have to get back on the 2hr per day routine again and then take it from there. I am scared if I will ever be able to make it the way it was the last time. This is horrible.

10 days is NOT a big deal Kal-el. You've been phenomenal with the jump rope, but maybe it isn't sustainable in the long term to do so much so often of one thing? Some variety would make it easier to stick with it I would think. It's not that you don't have the physical capability because you have proven that you do. It's that you want to make it easy to maintain a regular habit of exercise. I run most days and I'm fine with that, but I mix it up with easy and hard day and long and short runs. I also have plans to implement other activities if I get bored or feel stuck. It's yoga and weight lifting for me, but it can be whatever. Rest is just as important to progress as the work. I think taking breaks and mixing it up will help you out. Good luck!

Kal-El it's obvious that you have an amazing dedication and willpower, but (In my opinion), it seems that you are pushing yourself too hard and getting burnt out.

Have you thought about mixing the jump rope with another low impact (doesn't necessarily mean low intensity) exercise? It would give you some rest and would also give your joints some time to recover.

This is just a suggestion but please consider it!

Take care and the best of luck to you.

Hi, sorry for the delayed reply, I just wanted to stay off of this site if am not working out, and that took a big gap. I will try and start again. Will try and mix it up this time. My major problem was and is, deep down, accepting that lifestyle change that comes with working out and proper food timings and habits. I am slipping because am not able to accept that, together with what you said about things getting too monotonous. I will try something different this time. Thanks buddy.

okay, after a long gap am about to restart the same jumping, i will try and throw in another low impact stuff in combination with this. Thanks for pitching in your ideas. Last time I thought of mixing it with body weights. I couldn't do that. I have to figure something out, that fits with my way of going about working out.

After a really long time, (my last 1 hour jumpin was on 12th of may, and it is like two weeks past that),

I did a half hour jump rope workout with a hope to get back to where I left off two months back. Am just registering it here.

Maybe cycling could help? You mentioned it on your intro post, and it'll give your knees a bit of a break and add a bit more variety into your routine.

Another idea could be shadow boxing? you can do it anywhere and it can be a hell of a workout!

You can also do it like this guy here;

Good luck to you!

@AthalaRanger, thanks I saw the video on shadow boxing. Will try to get back in the game and then add this to my routines. Thanks.

okay, am back in here,

hi, I have been trying to get back onto working out for a really long time. I have been doing nothing at all. Jumping was a good thing like 4 months ago or so, I really went off the grid. It was really a bad thing giving up on jumping hoping that I would pick up something else. I never picked up anything after that. I think jumping sorta worked out for me at some level. I was able to do it properly, I felt better. I think I should pick it up again. Try my luck with jumping 2 hrs a day again. It did change my attitude towards working out. I cannot get the feeling "those are the best days" out of my head when I think of jumping for a workout. Okay. Enough said. I am starting today. 2 hrs/day. If I fuck up that is okay, but am gonna try and get back to those days.

And also, It is good to see that nobody here but me left. Everybody made it to someplace, one way or the other. Good stuff.

Day 1 again for my jump rope workout sessions,

20 minutes of jump rope done so far.

will update here if I do more...
target is 120 minutes per day, but I guess I don't know if I will directly start doing 120 minutes per day or work my way up to it. It is really random for me, it was never in my hands to begin with.

Day 2.

120 minutes of jump rope done so far.

was a tough start, but was fun. Jumped to a continuous 1 hour dubstep mix with 140 bpm tempo. Matched my jumping style and listening to that uplifting banging gives me more mental energy. I hope I make this attempt a success. Only god can tell.

Update,

remaining 60 minutes of jump rope done. Target minutes of 120 for the day is finished.
