Kaitie's Open Diary

Ok so to try and counteract my freakin' 2400 calorie day I burned off 300 calories at the gym today. (100 on the bike, 200 on the elliptical machine) I really won't know the actual effects of my mega-mess up until Friday or Saturday. *eek* I hope it's not to much. I really want to get to 175 by October 21st.

I hope everyone else's weekend went well!

Hey Katie,
Wow you tore up that gym GF! You can meet your goal easily
with those bootcamp workouts! Have a gr8 day/night! Tammy

Don't worry Katie there's a lot of that going around. I got run over by a sweets table at a Christening and even M2M got off the wagon for a day. It happens, you can recover. Just don't try to do it all in one day :)

Wow Kaitie - I dont think that gym knew what hit it!! lol.. it must be so frustrating since you're just soooo close!! but don't hurt yourself - thin is no good if you're lying in pain on the floor. ;)

Have a great day!

LOL, I definately try to avoid all forms of pain!!

But I am not close to my goal, I'm close to my first goal--my final goal is 130-140 pounds. I've got a long way to go, and I'm definately eager to get there.

I just have a feeling that my body is quite comfortable at the weight that it's at right now---I just have to convince it that it cannot be comfortable. :)

This is going to sound weird, but I'm glad to hear that others have slipped up this week...this way we can blame it on the full moon. :)

Katie,
it doesn't sound weird at all... We're all human (to the best of my knowledge) and we're all going to slip. It's all about how long it takes to pick yourself back up... and by all accounts it looks like you've already dusted yourself off and are ready to go once again.

You'll be fine, and I'll be pulling for ya to meet your goal

Only One Pound

Hello! Do you know me?
If you don't, you should. I'm a pound of fat.
And I am the happiest pound of fat that you would ever want to meet.
Want to know why?
It's because no one ever wants to lose me;
I'm ONLY ONE POUND, just a pound!
Everyone wants to lose three pounds, five pounds, or fifteen pounds, but never only one.
So I just stick around and happily keep you fat.
Then I add to myself, ever so slyly, so that you never seem to notice it.
That is until I've grown to ten, twenty, thirty or even more pounds in weight.
Yes, it's fun being ONLY ONE POUND OF FAT, left to do as I please.
So, when you weigh in, keep right on saying, "Oh, I only lost one pound."
(As if that were such a terrible thing)
For you see, if you do this, you'll encourage others to keep me around because they'll think I'm not worth losing.
And, I love being around you - your arms, your legs, your chin, your hips and every part of you.
Happy Days!!!
After all, I'm ONLY ONE POUND OF FAT!!!

Hey girl, i totally understand, this weekend i got had two burgers and then fries to top-it was definitely a big mistake and i paid for it. but....

you can totally fill your burger cravings in a healthy way. did u no that in'n'out has burgers that have a healthy solution...you can order a regular burger with ketchup/mustard instead of their thousand island spread (totally more healthy and tastes great too!) for a grand total of 310 calories! that is less calories than the fries which amount to about 400 calories! much less than the extremely unhealthy mc'd's or BK! anyways, keep up with the good work and dont worry you can finish up strong!

Hello Katie,
Hope your over your burger blues and moved on to
a much brighter day! Your doing gr8 keep up those hard
workouts and you'll be at your goal in no time.Tammy

Kaitie there have been several burgers and birthday cakes and drinks flowing around the forum this week. So, it's not just you... we can try to eat perfect but we never do..... or at least not for long....

Hi Katie - just stoppin by, hope you're feeling better. Had a run in with a birthday cake yesterday. it wasn't pretty but I got out of there before his friend Mr. Ice cream attacked my thighs. ;);)

LOL...your all making me feel a lot better!! Thanks a bunch!

Today was good. My mom came to visit and that was fun, she played with the puppy a bunch. We went to saladworks for lunch--something that I'm surprised my meat and potato's mom did, but it's nice to know that she is supportive of helping me lose weight.

Exercises for today:

3.6 miles on the bike (100 calories)
30 leg lifts
30 abductions
30 adductions
30 leg presses
30 lower back
30 sitting row
30 overhead presses
150 torso twists
90 sit-ups

Hubby is doing well. He weighs in again on Saturday and I hope it's a big loss for him. He's looking skinny-er (I really can't spell this morning) and slightly disheveled because his clothes are getting big on him. I bet he could go down a size but his belly is still in the way--but soon enough. It took us a long time to pack on the flab it's going to take some time to get it off.

We started our diets on July 24, 2006 so we've been at it for 79 days. I've lost 24 pounds and he's lost 35 pounds. Not to shabby for 80 days of hard work. Now that I've done the math I've actually lost more than 2 pounds a week. 11 weeks of work should be 22 pounds so I guess I'm slightly ahead of the norm--which makes me feel a little better now that I'm stuck at 179.5, the number will change soon and before you know it, I'll be bitchin' and moanin' that I'm stuck at 169. :)

Way to go Kaitie! You and the hubby both are doing fantastic! That workout looks pretty awesome too! Keep up the good work girlie!

Excellent Kaitie! Big hugs to John! (man, I hope I remembered his name right:D )

I can't wait until I'm stuck at 169 too:D
