Kady's Diary

I did work out this morning, but still haven't bought running shoes. I will get them tomorrow. In the mean time, I think I have cut my calories too much. I need to go to the grocery store to stock up on healthy snacks for work. I will try to do that tomorrow as well.

Back to work!

Well two days running. Feels pretty good. I am still eating pretty good. I took some low fat graham crackers to work. I have peanut butter there too. That's a decent snack, right?!

anyway, feeling decent about the weight loss. I even bought a new dress yesterday. Sizes these days are absolutely nuts. I weigh 140 pounds, and a size 4 dress fit. That is insane. At that rate, what will I be able to wear when I weigh 120? I'll have to shop in the kids section.

Congrats with losing 10 lbs so far. :) As for dress sizes nowadays, it's one of those sneaky marketing ploys where they say, "Hey.. let's make women spend more money on purchasing our jeans by making a real size 14 a size 10." It's a win-win situation. You're happy you fit into a size "10," yet the company is making bucko off of us. Bastards. Heck.... I know for a FACT I'm guilty of such. BCBG does that and I LOVE their jeans. (A size 14 stretch bootcut will fit a size 16-18 and they're so flattering) Well good luck with the remainder of your loss... :) Sometimes a girl's just got to see a smaller number to make her bust out her credit cards. haha

Hi

Hi Katy, Great job!!!!!! I am doing so horribly its not even funny. I refuse to move my ticker. You are an inspiration for me now. I am hoping to be around more now that my son is starting football practive and I will grounded more. I will try and keep up with posts both yours mine and others. Maybe thats the key........have you tried lowfat peanut butter in celery for a snack? I add dried cranberries too. Celery is good for helping with water retention and thepeanut butter is good protein if you can get around some of the fat. That genetic thing with wieght must be hard. I am hypothyroid now and I can't beleve how hard it is to lose weight compared with before. It must be like this for those with genetic weight issues must feel. Not FAir!!! but life isn't is it????? anyhoo........you are doing great!!!!! Karen:rotflmao:

Wow it's been a while since I've been here. I have been so busy lately. This weekend we are going to the Guadelupe River with friends. While I'm sure we will have a blast, i'm not sure how my diet will do. There will be lots of alcohol and mostly processed meat for the meals. Maybe if I drink more, i won't eat as much.

My girl party was a great success! It even sold enough to register me in a drawing for a cruise. I had several low-carb options. I have a friend on Atkins. I don't know how she does it. I LOVE pasta. Maybe that is my problem. I also had some really really good chicken. It was chicken tenders on a skewer rolled in a combo of minced garlic and onion, sesame and poppy seeds, black pepper and coarse salt and then baked. Kind of a take on the "Everything" Bagle.

I've been working out moderatly. Not running enough. Between a blister and shin splints, my new shoes are killing me. Been extra tired, too. The receptionist quit at work, so i am left to pick up the slack when the bosses wife isn't there. Well, still when she is there, too.

Will try to run again in the morning. best wishes to all

i had the same problem sticking to healthy eating when i went to vegas a couple of weeks ago. you really need to plan your meals for the day in advance... i subsisted on ezekiel 4:9 flax cereal and turkey jerky :(
And oh the irony... i ate the healthiest when i indulged in the most epicurean of vegas experiences... the buffet. i could select my own foods and portion sizes... And processed meat is fine if you stick to cold cuts like oven roasted turkey or boiled ham... Anyway it's been a while since i've visited your diary and i'm really glad to see your motivation hasnt waivered! good job kiddo!

If only....

I really wish that my modivation hadn't waivered. I have hit a brick wall and can't seem to get over it. I can't seem to finish anything that I start these days. My concentration is shit. It's so hard to make myself get up in the morning and work out. It's too hot to walk at lunch. Evenings are CRAZY with 4 kids. I am trying to read to them every night, so that means, I come home and straight away start dinner. Andy usually helps with the clean up while I start baths (3 still need help). By then I get in 30 minutes of reading (The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe currently) before bed. And baseball practice twice a week now with the 8 year old. I don't know the t-ball practice schedule yet. I want to get back on track and loose this weight before the holidays. When my step-son gets home for break we will go take family pictures.

Anyway, I am back up to 144. I think I need to add calories to my diet, so I am trying to have a morning snack and an afternoon snack (just an apple or something like that). Maybe I can function in the morning long enough to get in a run.
