Warrior 2 looks like a lung with the arms out! ;)

Is yoga based on "old" fighting styles and training regimines??? I'm actually interested... DON'T TELL TROPS!!! Plus, as Cabbie pointed out, the girl/guy ratio is stacked in my favor... if I ever were to attend an official class that is!! :D

With the wrong teacher, it could totally turn you off! I'd teach you, if you lived closer--I could teach basics :) Seems like Yoga is based on Philosophy, but yes some of the poses refer to warrior poses.....and I know lots of martial artists include it in their training--I know it's great for works with chi. Fuck up someone's chi, you got the fight in the bag ;) I really don't know the origins! SOOOOOOO convoluted, so many branches, SOOOOOO ancient.....
 
Yoga was supposed to teach poise, balance and strength--and to improve the body's physical health and clear the mind in preparation for meditation in the pursuit of enlightenment. Not so much for fighting.

Although that sounds SHOALIN. (damn my spelling or lack there of!!) Something the monks would have taught for sure!! Yep, being in the HEART of it all kinda sucks sometimes!!! (think about the US as a body... Ohio would be it's heart) Our old state slogan actually... now it's "AT LEAST WE AREN"T ARKANSAS!!!" :D

My favorite Cardio workout... JR for 42 minutes followed by 35 on the heavy bag.... gettin' out some frustrations!! Another great workout!! 9.0 could have pushed harder on the jumping!!! NEXT TIME!!!

Eating - Great!!! I had GO LEAN CRUNCH for dinner... kinda weird... it made me want to head off to work!! :D Breakfast for dinner tends to confuse me at times, but it was quick and easy!!!

Great day!!! I'm going for PB's on my upperbody workout tomorrow!!!
 
Friday

Woke up rip raring to go!! Hustled out to my gym, and commensed to hittin' it hard!! NO PB's, but hella good workout! That made me feel great the entire day!! I can't think of anything else I would rather do first thing in the morning to start the day!!! Well maybe one :D, but with an "EX", and having three kids down the hall... I'll settle GLADLY for the workouts!!!

Food - PHENOMINAL!!! Got the kiddos pizza, but had chicken and broccoli instead!! Pretty funny when your kids question, then make fun of you for having "healthy food", when there's a pizza in the room!! This made me even MORE resolved to kick this PIG!!!

Great day, Can't wait for weigh in!!!

Weekend update

Saturday - got up earlier than my kids... good 52minute elliptical workout! Not great, maybe an 8 on the scale. My mind was on other things. Some would say that's a good thing, but I NEED that mind muscle connection!

Eating - great! Went out to Carraba's for dinner... had a cup of minestrone soup, and a grilled chicken salad, dressing on the side, and used my fork to dip it in! Great trick... glad I read it here!! It was pretty funny, the person I went to eat with said "What... you tellin' me I'm out wit one of those salad eatin' biotches!!!". I almost spit my iced tea out my nose!! FUNNY!

Sunday - played OML!! 2 goals, 6 assists!!! Yep, 6!! I was a non-selfish player!! All you had to do was shoot on net it seems to score a goal.. I chose to "set people up". Still second for points earner... I'll have to be a bit more selfish if I want to overtake first!!! Great day (like every other) with my kids!! All in all, a great weekend!
 
OK! Here's the scoop... I was really excited about my weigh in today... it was not what I was hoping! Minus 1.2 pounds. I was hopin' for another three or four pound week.

BUT... I am healthier, I am stronger, I am happier, I am living a healthy lifestyle, I am seeing results!!! I know it's only a matter of time because I'm putting in the WORK day in and day out!! I won't let this minor disappointment effect me one bit!! I OWN my new life, it is working for me, and I guess I need to expect more realistic results! This week, no harder, just consistant living, true to the "new" me! With that in mind, maybe I'll start weighing in every other monday instead of every monday. :)
 
yep ..the dip the salad fork in the dressing trick..i learned that years ago from weight watchers. it works!!!! wonder who really thought it up

1.2 pounds is great!! any minus on the scale is awesome

i am so proud...
 
Great attitude. You keep thinking like that you will reach your goals in no time.

I'd kill for a 1.2 pound loss at this point.

You're such a jock, JZ. :D And that's a good thing when you're trying to lose weight. Hockey must burn some serious calories. :)
