jzthedetermined's Journal

Cardio day... jump roped for 46 minutes. I did not attempt to count today... feeling mentally lazy I guess... good workout though! After JR, I did some heavy bag work for 20 minutes. This workout is under rated... I really had a great workout!! :)

Eating was spot on again... doing great with the "nutrition" side of things! All protein reached, and calorie intake in check!!

Another good day... that's four this week... let's see what Mondays weigh in says!!

I'm sick of congratulating you, I'm starting to turn into a Hater--YOU GOODY TWO-SHOES!!!!!!!! :p

LOL!!!! :rotflmao: NAH, I'm playin'--you're awesome, I'm proud of you! :hurray:

You ever feel like you are at a line in the sand? Go this side, and "x" will happen... go this side, and "y" will happen. Or maybe backed up against a wall? No, how about everything is going so well, you're waiting for the balloon to drop? Yep, that last one is me. Things are progressing very well, and I'm making the right decisions, but I some how feel like I'm at some sort of do or die moment! It's actually stressin' me out. The right food, the get my ass up at 4am to workout, the NO, DON'T EAT THAT...WTF are you thinking... I'm tired! It's a constant fight, and I'm tired! Will I do it anyways.. YES!!! And I don't always feel this way, quite often, I keep my screen name legit!! Just mumbling some thoughts here..... It's a lifestyle!!! There is no finish line!!! (Just reminding myself... in writing)

Look, eventually you will have to rest and take about a week off exercise. It sounds horrible but ask Steve, it's good for the body. Your stress makes perfect sense but don't let it get you down. You're putting 100% effort in and it's paying off with MAXIMUM RESULTS. All you have to do is relax into it and know that you can work hard and still have a calm, clear mind about it. Effortless effort. YOU WILL NOT FAIL!

JZ,
Curvie is right, sometimes you need a rest. I like to say, you cant undo in one day or week all the hard work you have done over the past months. Take some days off, let your body rest. It will thank you.

If you feel like you need that cheat meal have it. It is all about moderation and lifestyle. Eat it, enjoy it and back to the "lifestyle".

Look at what you have done so far, it is truely amazing and inspirational. I know sometimes easier said than done but dont let it get to you. Maybe you need to drop the gloves in one of your games and take out some frustration. just kidding of course.

Thanks Matt! I appreciate the words of wisdom so to speak! I think I'll have to passon the "droppin' the gloves" thing, LOL, not to much enjoyment from kickin' washed up has beens (like myself) asses!!! :D

Wow Lilli, if I didn't have three kids and a good job, I'd head on up to Saskatchewan!!! I rarely wear baseball caps, and sometimes the old "navy" shower is the only one I get!! :biggrinjester: I would be a STUD up there!! ;) ;) :) :biggrinjester:

Maybe Lilli could move down to Ohio. :biggrinjester: I'm a hopeless matchmaker. :D

But I feel her pain. I had to move to South Korea to find my Aussie husband..lmao. Around here there are just too many rednecks. If we ever divorced, I'd have to leave the country again to find someone to date. :biggrinjester:

I'd have to spread the love around up in Lilli's territory!! :D :D Sounds like slim pickings!!!

Also, I must say... you are always so optimistic!! :D :D

Honestly its tough its not easy, and its times like these that you will look back at and realize how worth it was.... not only because you will be at your appropriate weight but you can prove to yourself that you can set a goal for yourself and accomplish it.

You are a third of the way there, given your drive you keep going and youll make that goal quicker than you think....

TRU - Anytime!!

Burnseed- thanks. I just reveiwed your thread and found motivation again! I'm still the "DETERMINED", but sometimes I need to find focus!

I know it will be TOTALLY worth it when I get to goal and maintain for the rest of my life! I just am so used to "things" coming up, or events happening that stall my progress or turn me around all together.... I guess I'm being pessimistic when I'm trying to stay optimistic and focussed and driven??? I am still determined as I said, and I'm not going to let anything get in the way of my NEW LIFESTYLE!! I've been down a crappy road filled with disappointment and self hate... I'm never turning the car around! Full speed ahead! "Thanks", is sometimes such a insufficent word to show gratitude. If there was a word that meant more, I would use it for everyone here in this forum! I'm proud and privledged to call you all "friends".

We're proud and privileged too :hug2: It's heart warming to see people take charge of their happiness and health. The world is only a shitty place sometimes because people hate themselves, and do fucked up things to other people as a result. If everyone was happy and healthy and did good things for each other......shit I guess I can't even fathom.....

Anyway, you're right--you are in a lifestyle change right now. Worrying about reverting to bad behavior is NOT going to help you. Screw that. Instead, just focus on becoming an even better person, setting goals and accepting yourself as wonderful already, but keeping your aim even higher....lightheartedly. Minimum effort with maximum results--the secret of YOGA! :D

Hey, JZ. Not that you need to hear it from me, but you really are doing great. This thing that you are doing is not a short term thing. You have been sprinting towards your goal. Slowing down a bit to a jog is not the worst.

I know it's hard to think that you are going to do all this work and not achieve results, but results , believe it or not, is not the goal. Changing your lifestyle is the goal, and that will produce the results you want.

Keeping things so that you can do this for the next 70 years or so, that's something to keep in view. :cheers2:

JZ brother, I'm a little late 'cuz it looks like I missed you, but I kicked your ass in a PM... With a lotta love man. Cuz my friend you are one of MY inspirations here, okay?

We all have shitty days dude, and ya gotta cut loose sometimes...

You just have to keep focus on why we're doing this and move on...

peace out.:cheers2:

Thanks All!!

Thanks everyone for helping me keep things in perspective!! GOOD NEWS...

JZtheDETERMINED had a KICK ASS cardio workout this morning!!! I got up early, as usual, and I hopped on the elliptical. I performed the "Fat Burn/Hill Climb" program... I went for 52 minutes!!! It was extremely challenging, but I stuck it out and put it in it's place!! Great workout... That's a 10!! I feel back on the saddle, and grounded in what I'm after! It's not a race, it's a lifestyle, and I've got it down!! Results will come from just continuing to BE healthy and active! THIS IS FOREVER, but for now... I'm gonna bust my ass until it's just imprinted on my brain, that it is who JZ is!!! As Alta would say...
RRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWRRRRRRR!!!!! ;) :D

Got yourself all revved up for the big game today with that cardio workout, eh? :D

Well, I'll say through gritted teeth congrats on the win. :) I thought Mich might actually make them earn their win, but they fell apart in the 2nd half. Doesn't help when your 3rd string qb is in the game....excuses excuses right? :D We'll see how next season goes. I've heard Rich Rod has some better qb recruits. What will Tressel do without Laurinitis? He's a helluva player (even if his name sounds like a medical condition).

Now I'm hoping Penn St keeps their lead over Mich St in order to spoil the *uckeyes Rose Bowl dreams. :reddevil: Yes, my hatred of OSU trumps my love for Mich St.

I hope C-bus isn't rioting in celebration...AGAIN :D

Sunday - Good day! Just "rested" and played with my kids! Ate great! Tried some spinich and green peas with my normal mixed veggies... quite good. Pretty much it for the weekend! Had a AWESOME workout this morning but will post it for "Monday's" post.
