A Little nervous

Well, I'm a bit nervous for this weekend... My oldest son has a soccer tournament... and it's the first "out of town" experience I am faced with since starting the "new life". He has two games Sat, and Two games on Sun. I'll have all three kids, and I'm a bit apprehensive about eating healthy the whole weekend, or getting in workouts! It's just me with them, so I'm not sure how to squeeze things in. At home, I get up before they do and hit the home gym, but I can't do that in a Hotel. Any good advice would be greatly appreciated!!!! I'm all :willy_nilly: about this.

is there a gym at the hotel? I meen generally there are if not a swimming pool something? its still nice outside go for a jog!

Glad to see you are making great progress!

Glad to hear its getting easier for ya JZ! You're making it a lifestyle and that's great! As for the weekend, just try to make the best food choices you can. They may not be perfect but that's okay... Just choose grilled instead of fried, wraps instead of bread...ya know. Weight training hmmm... You could get some bands at walmart or a sporting goods store. They're not going to give you a "ten" workout but you could still do some good with them. If you can fit a little jump roping in while you and the kids are chillin in the hotel room (lol for the people below you!) OR if the hotel has a pool, maybe the kids could play while you swim a few laps. :)

Good workout, but will find alternative for Saturday, I need a break from the rope for a few days.

Run--sprint and rest, etc. :reddevil: That'll kick your butt! :boxing: I actually need to do that :nopity:

Wake up early and go running for 20+ minutes. See if the hotel you're staying at has a gym--a lot of them do. Write down everything you eat discreetly on a little pad of paper to check yoself before you wreck yoself. That's all the advice I have....

Burnseed- Thanks for the "good job" comment. I can't leave my kids alone in a Hotel room while I go workout. They are WAY too young. The pool is a good idea except with a three and a half year old... probably won't get laps in. I know what your sayin' though... MAKE time to do it, don't make excuses.

Paula - Good idea's about the eating... the bands are brilliant as well. Gotta' get to dick's after work to grab some. (Don't say it Curvie... or Cabbie)
Yes...LIFESTYLE. I just have to make everything work with it ;)

I'm a dork who plans things, so I've already scheduled that in.

It is a good thing to be a dork who plans things. I actually get really annoyed with people who say stupid shit like "Well, I never plan anything...." I'm like Really? So you never make doctor's or dentist appointments, or go to work or school or get your car worked on or make dinner? And how is that working for you? :bigear:

Go running with them over your shoulders for 10 minutes.

Your super, duper, best constructed advice is to play Horsey for ten minutes???!!!!??

Oh wait, that's 915am-940am Saturday morning after looking at the "dorks" agenda!!! :D :D I hear ya... keep my as in gear doing something!!!

WOW I am a bitch today! :rotflmao:

Just tellin' it like it is woman. That's actually refreshiing with all the PC :icon_bs: in today's world.

hahahaha!

Exactly. But yeah, I'd imagine running with your kids on your shoulders would burn some calories, aiight?? And you were talking about how you can't leave them alone tomorrow....

someone needs to come up with a calculator for calorie burning activities with kids. horsey, bathtime, doctors visits....all of those should be listed somewhere.

or the 10 times to fold laundry only to have to put it away 3 times since they keep running off with it.
there are all kinds of stuff we do that burn calories, it's just no one lists them anywhere!!!

Hi JZ

I just breezed through your journal and it is very inspiring. You are doing great....I live north of Mi border and my dtr goes to U of Toledo (can you believe they beat michigan). I too am reluctant to say that I am a Lions fan...even though right now i think toledo can beat them too :)..but I cant help myself for liking them....

Anyway, I just saw in the Michiganians thread that you were from S of Toledo and I thought I would breeze in and say hi. Glad I did...makes me wanna go buy an applepear and a jumprope.

Have a great week
