jzthedetermined's Journal

Hey, JZ. I had a close call tonight. I was out doing errands with the kids and stopped at Panara for dinner. It's a pretty good place that uses real food, but still not anywhere near what I'd call healthy. I decided to skip it and had some greek yogurt when I got home. I'm really glad I did. Hope the pizza didn't attack you.

Mmmmmmh, Greek yogurt!!! :drooling: That stuff is KILLER--I get the honey flavored--LOL!!!! No agave! Trops, you would be proud!

(but if I got the plain I'd sweeten it myself with.......agave! :p)

That was from a previous post about a Mickey Mouse talking scale.

Love greek yogurt. Twice as much protein and so smooth. I get the plain and add honey and walnuts, or reduced sugar raspberry preserves. So good, but a bit on the expensive side.

Yeah..........good food IS expensive. Stacy and Sammy mentioned in their respective states, great organic produce is hard to find. Cali is pretty good on that over here. Strawberries are abundant in summer.......good ones, too. The office is always stocked with them.

I have been dying for a dessert butternut squash recipe. I'm about to pester Mal, the baking queen, for one before I try my luck with Google.....

So I'm pretty excited... I just weighed in at work (great big industrial scale used for weighing steel that is calabrated every month so I know it's acurate plus it beats the one at home which is Mickey Mouse...it actually says your weight outload...bought it for the kids...anyways, sick of it telling me in Mickey's voice "One at a time please" :biggrinjester:), and I'm down another 4 pounds from MONDAY! I had to weigh to update my "loose it by christmas" challenge board, and I'm pretty shocked!! I'll probably weigh in Monday as well as the "official" two week weigh in.... but damn!! 15 pounds in 12 days is pretty frickin' great! I know this will slow way down REAL soon, but I feel like the sweat equity is payin' off!! To celebrate tonight, I'm having pizza with the kids! Well maybe not... it would be a shame to undo some of this progress!!

That's the post

I have a good butternut squash soup recipe, if you want.

HAHAHAHA!!!!! Fuck Mickey Mouse!!! He needs stinkier cheeses on his damn Grandma's Pie--and some muthafuckin' BASIL while he's at it!!! :D

Sorry I'm in way too good of a mood right now.........

Went with the lemon pepper chicken man ................................................................................................................... followed by two small peices of cheese pizza!!! Stuff actually upset my stomach something fierce, but holy nhell did it taste great!! MODERATION. We'll see if it has any affect. Way to escape your personal temtation at Panera... those cinnamon bagel/honey bun what ever the heck they are things are Killer!

Long weekend... should update my diary for the last three days... going to bed instead!!! 10pm. Tried this last week... we'll see how this time goes.

Day 12

Lower Body Workout in early AM. Went well. Increased weight in all movements except "traveling lunges". 8.5 out of 10. Work harder next time!

Breakfast - Smart Start in skim milk, apple
snack 1 - 20 almonds
lunch - grilled chicken wrap in wheat tortilla w/lettuce, bannana peppers, spicy mustard, pearapple thingy
snack 2 - R2DS
Dinner - lemmon Pepper Chicken and mixed Veggies, 2 SMALL PIECES CHEESE PIZZA!!! DAMN IT!!!!

Rationalized the pizza as a reward for the great 12 days = 15pounds... after eating it, realized I don't want, and should not have FOOD as a REWARD!!

Over all, pretty good day except for the indescretion with the pizza.

Took the kids to homecoming hill park... a large cresent shaped hill with soccer fields in the "valley", walked up and down the thing like 10 times, then played soccer for about an hour. Played outside with kids rest of day(until 530) completed night routine, then crashed myself!

Wow! busy busy Daddy, huh? Glad you had a great time with the kids playing outside and staying active. Makes me really wish the rain would stop so I could take my little ones outside. :)
Glad to see you're doing so well.
Take care!

I'm holding out till this afternoon to do the "official" 2 week weigh in. We'll see. I feel pretty good. This weekend really tired me out... back to work to get a rest!

Ah, I always do my official weigh in first thing in the morning. It seems more consistant that way.

YEP... and I LOVE it!! I'm trying to take advantage of the last few "nice" weekends we'll have before it gets rainy/cold/snow/dark at 6pm... Hope the rain breaks for you over there... Gettin' outside really helps the kiddos sleep at night LOL! Plus, You can't beat nature walk pictures... I must have taken fifty or so. I really want to capture all the little moments my kids and I share... I know it will be over before I know it!!
