JZ, you're killing it! Damn, I'm feeling some shame here now, I have to go hit it a little bit harder now. You have supplied some motivation!

Thanks Cabbie. I just really, really want this!!! It might sound dumb, but literally, how I look and feel about myself is the only thing I don't like about myself. I don't mean to get real "deep", but if I can just fix those two issues... my life would be amazing. I have the amazing kids and loads of time with them... I love being their father and am exceptional at it, I have a great career that I love and that looks bright and do quite well for myself and my children, I luckily had a selfish, manipulative, shallow, life sucking spouse leave me on her own will and therefore isn't entitled to half of anything... I'm in a good place right now and when I lose the weight, feel terrific about myself, I'll be able to do those things even better!! Then eventually, maybe even get into a HEALTHY relationship?!?! Real deep here... get the waders... I want to love who I am again!!

I appreciate you, and everyone's encouraging words! I don't think, no I know, I wouldn't be where I am right now without the support, inspiration (lots on here) and maybe the accountability of this forum!!

As for you hittin' it harder... I have no doubt you will. It's inside everyone to accomplish what they set their minds too... they just have to find what ever works for them and DO IT!! I wasted a lot of time being so overwhelmed by all the things I had to change to do this, spent so much time just thinking about things that I never started the "doing" part!! This forum has been a big part of why I finally started doing what it takes to be who I want to be.

Damn, what got into me today :sifone:... all phylosophical and stuff.

wow JZ, gettin' deep. should I bring a couch in for you to lay on? ;) all joking aside though, I'm really glad you joined here. not just for the encouragement you give me, but because I know your kids are going to love having a dad that shows them a healthy and HAPPY way to live. My parents never did that, and it's one of the things I'm aiming towards with myself and my kids.
So, bravo, congrats, keep at it, and you rock. all at once. :D
Take care

JZ, I read something today and thought of you. (do you feel special? :D) It said that the average dad spends 2 hours a day with their kids. It also said that 25% of dads wished that their fathers were more involved in their lives growing up. So, I figure that you and I are both way above average. What do you think? :cheers2:

As for the ass moving... just think that the more it moves, the tighter and higher it is getting!!! :D

Yup, that is a good one. You know, that's why I work nights believe it or not? People always asked me why I worked third shift. Here's the reason: When my kids were still first grade right through high school, I was home before they left for school in the morning. Slept while they were at school during the day, and was awake and hanging out with them every afternoon until it was itme to go to work.

What time did I miss? While they were asleep! Worked for me!

Day 16

Morning Jump Robe workout kicked my butt. Went for 38 minutes. 20 minutes heavy bag after that...again, great workout!! 9.0 out of 10

Breakfast - egg beater omlette
snack 1- Apple, yogurt
lunch - tuna fish in wheat tortilla, pear
snack 2 - R2DS
Dinner - Grilled Salmon, grilled peppers
snack 3 - 15 Almonds

9 16oz bottles water

Extra Credit - 45 minutes indoor beach volleyball. Good time, good workout! Caused me to be up later than I would have liked, but a good sacrafice.
All in all, a good day!! On to tomorrow!

you've really got a thing for eggbeaters huh? ;) Looks like you're doing great with the jump rope workout. bravo! and great job doing the "extra credit" workout! indoor beach volleyball, huh? sounds like a blast for most, painful for me(I couldn't hit the broadside of a barn with a beachball:blush5:)
Glad you had a great day. keep it up, you rock!!!:seeya:

:D nice. :D no wonder we get along so well, I like quick easy and not too bad for me....could also explain why I eat eggbeaters about as often as you do ;)

You sound like a GREAT dad! haha, something I never had, but that doesn't bother me much anymore :D Perhaps that's why I like nice men, with children, in their 40s so much :) I really know you'll get the body you desire! you have all the will power and you're on the right path! Cool that you got that book--I'm impressed you took my advice! LOL!! :p

Don't feel sorry for me! I think it's how one perceives things--I have a pretty good attitude :D Uh, just once in a while I pine for the Good Dad Experience. I adore my stepdad, but he is only 12 years older than me and a total buddy to me more than a FF.

Oh thank you! But yes--I love the way that book is set up :)

Alta: you are too cute!

I don't feel sorry for you... just knowing what I've read and your posts, you are a damn good person... the frown/sorry face was feeling bad for him, and what he missed! I could not imagine not seeing/playing with/teaching my kids everyday. He obviously missed out on a terrific experience. :)
