Hi all,
Well as you can see I am a newbie here and hope that this will help me stay motivated to reach my goal weight of 140lbs, (or less). I am not going to go through and post my whole story again since it is on the newcomers board, but one of the other members said it might help if I started a diary so that is what I am doing. So far in my month of really trying to lose weight I have lost 2.4 lbs which isn't very much. It pisses me off, but I know it takes time. My best friend lost 80lbs in about a year and a half and she is trying really hard to be supportive, but when I look at good she looks it upsets me, b/c I used to be the "skinny" one.

My clothes are fitting better even if the scale isn't moving. Well I hope that I can help ya'all stay motivated and ya'all can do the same for me. So here goes nothing..right...

~you have to lose some...to win some~

I know exactly where you're coming from. It took me a month to even start losing. In fact, I actually gained a little weight during the first month. I know how hard it can be when you see others losing faster than you. My husband and I are working together and his weight is dropping so fast. Mine's at a slow crawl, at best. Just keep going because once you start losing, your body will work faster. Besides, if you said your clothes are fitting better, than you're already well on your way! You'll find all the support you need from this site. There's always someone here cheering you on! Good luck and keep up the good work! I'm here for you too.

Thanks

Just wanted to say thanks for the motivation back there. My husband works out too, but the lucky duck doens't need to lose weight; he is simply trying to gain muscle. We both want to try and remain healthy b/c we are trying to get pregnant, and my Dr said that I will have better chances if I shed the weight...good luck to you too....ttyl
