Ugh, unfair unfair. I try not to think about it!

So scale said 215 this morning. Not a good morning. *sigh* Hopefully it's just water weight.

Then I fell down the stairs and hurt my butt muscle. It hurts to sit, stand, walk, lie down, or even move. Going from sitting to standing is the worst. *sigh*

Did I mention it's not my day? Plans for the gym seem to be out, but perhaps I'll try some stretching later on and maybe even pilates if I can get it loosened up some!

Sorry to hear things aren't going well today. Mine's not that great either, but they happen. Hope your "butt muscle" feels better.:)

Food today was pretty good I think. I didn't really count calories, but I seem to have done ok.

I'm sitting out on my patio now with some citronella candles and my laptop. A moth just got fossilized in some hot wax...ew. I reek of bug spray yet I've some how managed to get yet another mosquito bite. I think I may just be too tasty for those things to resist me! ;)

Update on my butt! It is not a sore muscle...it's just one huge bruise. I didn't think it was a bruise to begin with, but I must have been in some weird light or it didn't color til later, because now it's green and yellow and purple. Ick!

In other news, I have adopted a new morning and evening beauty routine.

Morning:
  • brush teeth with whitening toothpaste, mouthwash
  • wash face, toner, moisturizer, zit cream for any stupid zits
  • skin firming lotion from head to toe
  • makeup
Evening:
  • remove makeup, wash face, toner, moisturizer, zit cream, eye gel
  • brush teeth with whitening toothpaste, mouthwash
  • cellulite lotion for problem areas, skin firming lotion for rest of body
  • overnight foot cream
So that probably sounds mostly like a normal person's day, but I am embarrassed to say that I am usually way to lazy for most of that. As a result, I usually look like I just rolled out of bed or something. Besides, I may be young right now...but if I never take care of my skin, it's not going to look so great when I get older!

Also, my teeth. Ugh. I never learned good dental hygine when I was a kid for whatever reason (mostly because my parents divorced when I was learning that sort of stuff and i just never got in the habit). Fast forward to now...my teeth aren't in the best shape. I'm lazy about brushing and that has to change! I need to make a dentist appointment so I can get my teeth cleaned and see if I have any cavities or anything. I can't imagine I don't. :rolleyes: But that's ok. I will get my teeth back on track and after a little bit do some whitening treatments.

In the weight loss news, I have had a granola bar so far today. I need to drink some h20. I'm cold and feeling lazy. Go figure.

I have to work today from 12pm-5pm. Whee.
 
It's kind of funny how taking care of yourself by dieting makes you want to take care of yourself in other ways, too! After I started dieting, I started a better skin care regime and started wearing make up more often.

Good for you on taking better care of yourself. A dental care hint: start flossing your teeth before bed--it will keep your gums healthy and prevent gingevitis (which is much easier to get than you'd think).
 
Ambalove--Yeah I know! Really though, when I'm taking better care of myself (beauty wise) I feel better about myself and I'm more likely to stick to my diet! Whatever works.

Bikinibound--I'm planning on adding in flossing here in a week or so. I have always hated it, and really it just seems to overwhelming at the moment. After I get comfortable in this routine though, it'll get in there. *sigh*

So today was good. I didn't eat enough during the day (only about 700 calories) so by the time dinner rolled around of course I was ravenous and ate more than I should have. We went out for mexican so of course I had too many chips and salsa. Even with dinner though, I doubt I went over 2000 calories. I just had some chicken fajitas and a tiny bit of rice. Does salsa count as a vegetable? Because if it does, I had my fair share for once!
 
Oh yay! I love salsa. Guacamole is another story. Ick! Confusing to me how something made of mostly avocado is not a veggie though.

I am tired today. I don't know why. Hopefully today is a good day. So far I'll I've had is some cereal.

Salsa is actually not really bad for you. The problem lies in that it's usually accompanied by tortilla chips which aren't so good for you. Just put lots of salsa on each chip so that you eat fewer chips..lol That's what I'd do..lol Tastes better that way anyway! :rotflmao:
 
Haha! my bf makes fun of me for eating as much salsa as I can fit on a chips, so I think I'm headed in the right direction.

I feel unmotivated and lazy. I don't want school to start. Ugh.
 
Guac is not a veggie because, nutrient wise, it is a fat. Avocadoes are mostly just fat and not a lot else.
 
Ok, so school started today. I was up at 6am, got around, ate breakfast, and went to school. The teacher for my 8am class was late! He apparantly didn't think he had a class or something. Annoying. Then I went and signed my financial aid award letter, bought my books, and went to the health center for alergy meds. I went to Starbucks to say hi to my old friends and got a drink (Passion tea lemonade...not even bad for me). Then I had lunch and went to my first afternoon classe. Unfortunatly it got out early which led me to a little chips and salsa fest (complete with queso aka fat in a cup) at a nearby local resturant. I went to my final class and headed home.

Which leads us up to now. I just got home, had a pudding, and I am now drinking some quality h2o. In the next 10 or so minutes, I'll be heading to the gym to do cardio (30 minutes) and then a nice little Pilates/Yoga blend class. I'm honestly tired and don't want to go, but if I don't get in the habit this week, it will be harder to later.
 
Ok...so I started here, and then left. It was a rough semester, which led to me gaining 15 pounds instead of losing any. *sigh*

So now I weigh 230 pounds. *shudder* This is well above any high weight I have ever had previously and I am kind of freaking out. I have got to stop eating due to stress and start exercising again.

I have to get ready for work now, but hopefully I'll be back tomorrow with a new plan and a renewed motivation to get rid of all this terrible fat I have gained.
