jus 1 quick question

if i do 1 day full body workout in a week and the other 6 days just extremely light workout (push ups etc)
would that be any use or am i wasting time?
 
Better than sitting on the couch, but dunno by how much.
 
Are you trying to get big or cut? A better way to get cut is the heavy/light/heavy rotation. Go heavy one week, go light the next.
 
im not trying to get big as in arnold big i want a good body
if i jus workout once a week and rest days at home do light workout compared to the one at gym could i actually see the difference or am i wasting time

No you're not wasting your time.

Your diet will be extremely important and your workout should mainly consist of compound movments. (probably good advice even if you were going everyday).

Some believe you can maintain a level of fitness by eating properly and walking everyday, so I suppose adding a solid full-body workout wouldn't hurt. I wouldn't expect much lean muscle mass gain though.
