Sorry sorry!! i'm a bit busy!

I haven't attempted the third part of the jump rope challenge, but still have been running here and there. i've also made it to the gym 5 times in the last 8 days so i'm actually keeping up there.

For the time being, until I get back from my trip to Brazil, I'm just working out hard when I can, and trying to make reasonable dietary choices... Once i'm back from the trip, i'll be in town for two straight months and able to really focus myself. I've said it a 1000 times in here, i know... but i like having a decent excuse :)

After some hectic flights, hectic days at work, and some pretty big arguments with colleagues, i've still managed to get in two really good workouts on Tuesday and Wednesday night. They actually contracted personal trainers for us while we're here... :party2:

My diet's been terrible though, considering everything down here is bread, beef, cheese, and VERY sugary deserts and drinks. I'm only allowing myself one more week of this diet and then it's back on track!! :violent::violent:
 
After rocketing up nearly 10lbs in the last 4 weeks, I've decided that I'm going to take a nice, steady, slow approach to losing fat when I get home from this trip. I weighed in at 83.5 kilos (about 184lbs) yesterday, after being down to 174 before i left for my family vacation... And I'm certainly not going to convince myself that that's all muscle :bncry:

I know Jove mentioned that she wanted me to BULK some more, but I really just don't feel "fit" when i'm much over 180lbs, maybe it's just a mental thing??

I have at least two months in Pittsburgh once I get back, which means less dinners out, less drinking, more working out, and more healthy/homecooked meals. I hope to get to a healthy, muscular 175lbs...

There isn't really much to say when all you're posting is the same old rambling. Notice I am now saying to you the same thing I said to her - do something, and write about it. First you get the workouts, then you get the power, then you get the comments! :D

If you were looking on input re: bulking, post pix. Or, generally speaking, if you're at or under 10% body fat, bulk. If you're above, cut. Don't know which? Get it measured. :) If you knew your current lean mass, you'd know exactly what to do to get to 175 lbs at say, 7% bodyfat. For myself, I don't think it'll be possible for me to be that small when I get lean, so I'm aiming for 200 lbs at 7%. But ideally, I think it's a good choice - yours.

Okay, since Focus wants numbers, i'll give numbers.

I'm currently weighing it at 176 in AM, 185 before bed. My body fat has certainly gone UP since my last bf test, so i'm going to guess it to be around 14%. I will ask if I can use the electronic BF scale at the gym today to get another number, but it will be significantly higher than 14%, because it's a different (and electronic) measurement.

My goal is 170 - 175 lbs with 10-11% bf (calipers) or about 13-14% (electronic). The reason I put the wieght RANGE in there, is because of how much my weight fluctuates so much throughout the day... I just do NOT want to drop below 170 to achieve my bodyfat goals. I'm figuring I need to drop 7-8lbs of fat, and maintain muscle (obviously), it should have my weight averaging 173ish.

oh, and for those wondering about Jove... she lives about 150 miles down the coast from Galveston, TX. I'm just praying she wasn't affected by Ike!

I'd say two-four months without Sin and you could be where you want, and then the easy work of maintaining. This should be very encouraging!
 
Well I have 9 weeks guarenteed without any traveling, so I should be well on my way by then! Hell... i might even post some new pictures to track my progress, so stay tuned and don't turn that dial!
 
I wanted to get an official starting point today, so I took my bodyfat 4 times at the gym just to get an average. I was using an electronic scale, which are notoriously high (right?).

I set it to my stats and put body type as "normal" for the first two tests: 14.9 and 14.7

I kept all the same stats and changed my body type to "athlete" for the second two: 14.1 and 14.3

averages out to 14.5%. I weighed myself right after the workout and was 183lbs. So... my official starting point has been established! 183lbs at 14.5% bf. I have a little work to do :action8:
 
took my BF today, i was up about 1% on the electronic scale. 15.4%... No stressing though, the electronic tools aren't very consistent.
 
I am totally struggling with motivation lately... It's really starting to bother me because my motivation has been completely shot for a while.
