Journey, Not A Destination

Creepy stalkers are fine... you just can't have my seat outside his window :)

Hey..Im not here to cause trouble!!

Plus Im sure there are other windows ;)

Tomorrow will be a long bout of outdoor steady state jogging on hilly terrain.

ALL RIGHT, RUNNING!!!!

"And to answer the question you’re thinking… no, the asylum will not accept me."

:smilielol5: You're not crazy, but perhaps you might want to look into meditation where you clear your mind's chatter--it's very interesting if you haven't experienced it before--AND DIFFICULT!

"The other day someone said to me, 'You don’t know how much something means to you until you lose it.'"

I have heard the same thing but with a more uplifting tone (and it's applying to loved ones): "We're meant to lose the people we love. How else are we supposed to know how important they are? " I liked this, it made me more receptive to loss, as stupid as that might sound.

But back to the point of your blog, I think it would be great for the "newbies" to ponder, have you made a thread with this exercise? Maybe shorten the intro?

I will say that Cali is a place I plan on visiting sooner than later and your arse better be available! And we'll hit up the gym too.

We can all do deadlifts together :beating:

I'll be even happier after the exam when my 3 day weekend begins.

Have any plans?

Friday my friends and boyfriend and I are going to the Santa Cruz Vet's Hall (sounds weird but it's a venue) for a show called "Fused"--dance party/circus with clowns (weird, huh?), fire troups, and a CONTORTIONIST :D I'm most excited about the contortionist. I attached a flier so you can see what I'm talking about:

Ha!

Even though I would absolutely love to since I've never been to Cali and there are people there who I know I'd have a lot of fun with (a number here on this very forum)...

My schedule sucks right now. I shouldn't say that. Most of it is full of good stuff. But free time is something scarce.

Well how about this. If you and the wifey want to come out for a little romp around the Silicon Valley this summer let me know. I have an extra bedroom and you are welcome to crash at my place for free. You can just give me a few training tips while you are here. I normally don't let strange men off the internet come to my home, but somehow I have a good feeling about you. hahaha Totally kidding! You are a solid guy and you and the misses are welcome anytime. I'm about 45mins from San Francisco...just a quick jump on the freeway.

Curvie lives over the hill and my sister lives with me so we can both show you guys around...

Oh, and good luck w/the exam tomorrow!! I'm sure you will kick A.

I'm able to clear my mind's chatter. There are times though where relaxing and listening to it is useful as well.

I think I'll put it up on my forum.

That would be a ton of fun!

Saturday is my cousin's bday party during the afternoon. I'm then supposed to go to Gordy's so we can do some work and possibly camp out since it's supposed to be close to zero degrees.

Sunday I'm watching the Eagles hopefully win.

Monday I have off and plan on doing absolutely nothing.

Sounds awesome!

Enjoy Val.

Happy Thursday Steve :)

Man I still wished I lived out in the "boonies" this city living is CRAP!!

Ya, I'm quite happy where I live. Privacy when I need it and not too far out that I can't find some excitement when I need it.

Thanks for stopping by!

Thanks Melissa! I will certainly keep this in mind. It's been on our 'to do' list but we simply haven't gotten around to it yet. This summer I know we're going to Atlanta or Phoenix, but nothing else is planned as of yet.

And you better bet your ass that if I come out there we're hitting the gym up.

Training tonight was bitter cold. We jogged for 30 minutes, which included an absolute ton of hills. The ground was harder than concrete if that's possible. The cold was stinging the little skin I had exposed unbearably, which was only my face. Building cardiorespiratory fitness in the face of extreme coldness is not a pleasant feeling, that's for damn sure.

I do feel improvements happening though which isn't only good... it's necessary.

So I 'sort of' opened my forum. I haven't advertised it at all yet and I don't think I'm going to either. At least not in the beginning. I'll put a link in my sig (see below) and if people want to be a part of the community, great. If not, whateva!

:p

Tomorrow morning is test time then the weekend is all mine. I'm trying to talk Gordy out of camping on Saturday. We'll see how that goes.

How old is your cousin going to be? Is this an "adult" party or a kiddie party or what?

Your weekend sounds relaxing. Mine got even more eventful--breakdance / hiphop lesson Sunday afternoon and dinner at the Cypress Lounge with belly dancing performances in the evening with Chris. Oh yeah, and Yoga Sunday morning. I wish I had Monday off, too

It's a kid party. I'm a big kid though so I have fun.

Damn Val, you're weekends are always full of excitement. I'm not sure how relaxing mine will be if I end up hiking/camping on Saturday. But the rest of it should be pretty mellow, thankfully.

Yes, I'll be a big kid at the Circus tomorrow night--there's face and body painting ;)

Yes, it's weird--there's ALWAYS something going on on the weekends ever since I made myspace friends with all these DJs and Burners--also the belly dancing and Yoga community goes well with everything! Enjoy the mellowness and I hope you get the most out of your workout :)

Loving the forum..need to sign myself up.
