Journey, Not A Destination

I don't recommend it to anyone, unless you want to spend 42 minutes of your life in absolute misery.

If you can do it for 42 minutes, you are doing it wrong, imo. It should be, at most, 15 minutes of absolute hell.

You should do what I do and play DDR on Oni mode instead. It never stops, until you quit, and then it calls you a loser and tells you to come back when you don't suck.

Just go stand on some guys face, Val. That should make you feel better! :p

Oh for fucks sake are you going to let me live that one down??? LOL! ;)

Yoga made me feel better, after. Yes, I did it all wrong and ran hard-to-moderate-hard between sprints. On the beach, too, and through a boatload of annoying tourists, before hitting the harbor and a meadow. But hey! It's all part of training, right? I ain't hurtin', now. Plain and simple, HIIT is very uncomfortable and annoying, especially out of one's comfort zone (for me, the forest).

Have a fantastic day and don't go recommending HIIT to anyone!

this diary needs some lovin'

hope you had fun at the concert -and visiting with your buddy and are having an restful, reading and researching weekend :D

Hey everyone....

Weekend update:

Thursday I headed down to AC for the concert. It was a blast. We got down there and had a great dinner at Harrahs and then headed to a bar before the concert. Once we were feeling 'good' we headed to the concert. The music was pretty good but I had a blast. I was dancing my ass off, lol. After the concert we stopped at a roulette table and I won 250 bucks, which was nice. Krista doesn't drink so we drove home and didn't get home until 3 in the morning.

Friday I went to Gordy's, which turned out to be ridiculously unproductive. The major thing we have left to do is shoot the remainder of the vids. We shot the bench press vid and went to load it onto the computer. The computer wouldn't accept it b/c or a hard drive error that's been on our camera since the Mt. Washington trip. I think the camera was too cold and something went screwy inside it. So we went to Best Buy and they're sending it out for repair. Who knows how long that will take.

Also on Friday I found out the sellers of my house accepted my offer with all the inspections I want. However, they aren't willing to enter into a contract with a contingency of home sale. I need to sell my current house to get the equity out of it for down money. At this point I'm not sure what I'm going to do. The realtor gave me a few options but I need to do some serious thinking. I believe the seller will enter contract if I have a serious buyer lined up. But that seems risky to me.

Yesterday I spent the day unexpectedly helping my dad fix a leak on one of the pipes of his well. That took half the day. Finished the day off with reading.

Today I'm planning on going to my cousin's pool and swimming and reading all day.

All in all a very nice weekend, except for the house news.

if the house is meant to be... it will work out.. :)

and don't forget the sunscreen... :)

/me has a nice image of steve floating around the pool in a tube with a duck's head on it :) with a beer in one hand.. :D

oh yeah and in my dirty little head, you're wearing red patent speedoes... but reality you probably look hotter in red board shorts :)

wow, you had a great time!! Good for you! I would have loved to see the dancing! And the gambling winnings. Whoo hoo!!

The dancing was a ton of fun. When I'm in the mood... I like to cut a rug. The winnings were nice too... it's always fun when you're winning money.

Definitely no speedo for me. I did get sunburned though. Sucks!!

Listen to auntie mal would ya... sunscreen protects your baby soft skin and will keep you from looking like a worn leather shoe in 20 years time... not to mention those nasty cancery thingies...

Protect your skin... :D

and this concludes the public service portion of our posting :D

I do. Yesterday I forgot. It's the first time I've been burned in a long time. I'm fair complected so I usually take precaution.

Haha, the only reason I'm against it is it tends to skew people's judgment of what they read. Someone can have high rep, yet be a complete fucktard when it comes to training/nutrition... and an unsuspecting novice to a forum will buy into the fucktard's advice simply b/c the rep is high.

I like info/advice to stand on its own merit.

Well the good part is that since it is YOUR forum. You pretty much get to call the shots. At least thats how it is on personal forums that I post on. You can call out all the fucktards.
