update
So it's crunch time for me and Gordy's business. And it couldn't come at a worse time. Fishing season starts this weekend and I just can't get out of it. Ya know, I have always fished my ass off for the first few weeks of fishing and love every second of it. Frankly though, I'd prefer skipping out on this season until the business is up and running and fish later in the season. Unfortunately, my friends are being asshats and turn the tables to be something they're not.... me dicking over my friends. God forbid I do something for myself.
The only reason I'm keeping my cool is, if those of you who have been around remember, this is the same weekend I spent for the last few days of my friend's life, Jared. We went to this same spot fishing for opening weekend and he died a couple of days after. Plus, his younger brother is taking his spot.... so that's cool.
But to be honest, I don't really like most of the guys who are going. It should be interesting.
On another note, I'm pretty sure I'm going to start dieting next week. I haven't planned it out yet but this bulk is going nowhere. I just don't have the time to eat how I need to in order to put on the size I'm hoping to have. And I'm not too happy with my current physical state. So if I'm not going to get bigger, I might as well get leaner. It's a little earlier than I had planned but big deal.
I believe I'm going to kick off the cut with something like Lyle McDonald's modified protein sparing modified fast. It's a bugger of a diet.... it's literally a diet developed by doctors trying to maximize fat loss while maintaining as much lean body mass as possible. In order to do so, they say what nutrients are essential to the body and health. Once identified, they then said, let's give people only those essential nutrients and nothing else. It turns out that's not a whole heck of a lot of food, especially relative to how I normally eat. Lyle modified it to maximize muscle maintenance even more and also to minimize metabolic disruptions with things like refeeds and whatnot. It should definitely be a challenge, but I *think* I'm up for it right about now.
