Journey, Not A Destination

How can you make a sequel to an actual historical event?

I haven't researched it yet, just heard it through the grapevine.

But supposedly it picks up right where the last one left off....

Someone could have been blowing smoke up my ass too.

Or maybe it won't pick up where the last left off:

Do you own any guns, steve?

Nope.

Haha, that's a random question. Where'd you come up with that one?

My father used to be a gigantic hunter. He's in a few books. So I grew up with guns all over the place. I've shot a lot of guns.

Never got into hunting.... too much of an animal-lover.

Once I moved out.... never felt a need to own a gun. I buy my meat.

And I've got a bat next to my bed. If some asshat wanders into my house, they better be packing....

Haha.

Ooh, me too! You were in that movie, right? :drooling:

I wish!

Those guys did some pretty crazy training for that movie. They were worked into the ground though. Most of them lost that 'ripped' look real quick. At least that's what I heard.

I would LOVE to be put through that kind of training just to look that good for awhile. Wow.

I have never seen so many hot, ripped men in one movie. I was going to nap while my husband watched but it grabbed my attention damn quickly.

I have seen some of those guys in other movies and they DEFINITELY weren't that hot before 300.

You, however, could have easily gotten one of the roles.

Here are the books on my Birthday list, although I have many, many more on my "wish list" lol.

Strength Training for Young Athletes (Paperback)

Meh, training merely exposes what's underneath. It wasn't necessarily the exact training they did. Any serious training and nutrition program that is follow strictly can lead to crazy 'metamorphosis'.

Yea, tell me about it. They were sexy as hell, right?

:p

Thanks so much. Too kind really. I'm too stoopid.... I'd be fumbling my lines!!!!

I haven't read the third. Let me know what you think about it.

The first 2 you obviously no my opinion.

The last is f-ing badass too. Awesome book.

Yeah, "younger" people are one aspect I'm really interested in training. I likely wouldn't have taken a look at that book if it wasn't for the authors.

I likely won't get all of them, but If I get the third I'll let you know how I like it.

If I could only get one, which would you suggest it be?

I'd probably get the first 2. Haha, I know you said one but those two books go very nicely together. If it has to be one, than Starting Strength.

Hey Steve. How's the hand doing? Hope it's better -- I looked over the last 3 pages & didn't see any references to it.

I've been quite a bit less data-obsessed lately. Interesting. I still seem to be losing about 2 pounds a month. My eating habits are fairly ingrained now.

Have a great weekend.

Hand sucks.

I'm extremely happy for you, Tom. You are in the two hundred and teens now. Bounce out of it or not, your trend is still definitely leading downward.

Thanks Steve. Now if I could just figure out how to eliminate the cramping at night, I'd be a happy camper! The cramps are in the ligaments on my instep, too -- very hard to "walk it out" in that location.

Did you have an xray of the hand? Maybe it's broken.
