you can't deny the fact that it is way more fun in here with us!! :D

I completely agree Brit, if you don't take a risk to be happy, how will you ever find happiness? That is brilliant.

But life just isn't so cut and dry sometimes. I mean, I have risked to be happy. But I could certainly be happier, and there is A LOT that I would like to change in my life, in order to be happy, but the risk associated with the change is high.

I think it's brilliant too :) But not just because I said it.
Life isn't cut and dry, and change is never easy. When a person is going through a transformation is the easiest time to make a change because they are LOOKING for it. If you are looking for something other than your life, or trying to get away from your life, i think the things you are unhappy about could follow you. But if you are looking for change for self discovery, it can be a beautiful thing...
Have you seen The Secret? It's a little far-fetched for me, but I do love the concept and I do feel that parts of it are true. If you haven't seen it, you should. If you have, then you will undestand what I mean. I just think that the positive thinking puts people in a mind set where they think that their dreams are attainable and they can make them happen, whereas without it, people are wishing for a miracle, but not being proactive about making things happen. The film claims that sending positive vibes into the universe will ensure that positive vibes will come back to you. I think that thinking this way just makes people more aware of the opportunities that are laid out in front of them everyday. I see so many things in my life that are truly gifts to me, but so many people dont see the gifts in their lives because they are seriously blind to the opportunities they have to make their dreams real.

blah blah blah...hahaha anyways, I am going to Europe to have fun, you should too. And you never know where your life will take you...blah blah blah blah hehe

ooo, ooo talking about trips. I'm planning a trip to the olympics in 2008... in beijing! Yeah, but haven't bought the tickets yet..

Europe is nice. I've only been to 3 countries, Netherlands, Germany and Switzerland mostly for work. Shopping there is very nice and they LOVE to bike there.

I think I may be going to!!!! I'm so incredibly freaking excited too!! Dave's friend is in the top two in the US in BMX, and BMX is going to be in the Olympics for the first time in 2008. So if his friend is going, I think we are going too!!

steve, i am sorry for always hogging you, but can i please get your help on my latest diary entry?

please don't take away the avatar! :(

but i understand if you do. it't just a shame that stupid people ruin it for the rest of us!

I did see The Secret.

And I am a huge promoter of positive thinking and self talk. I really am. I know first hand how much of a powerful and positive impact it can have on your life.

I am looking for change, it just isn't as simple as flicking a switch and saying, "Alright, yesterday I was here doing this, now, tomorrow, I am there doing that." KWIM?

I am just grouchy as of late. I am doing things in my life that will eventually promote the change that I am after. I just get impatient sometimes.

aww Steve you make me want to give you a hug sometimes. anyways, immediate change has never suited me either. It's just about gravitating towards what makes me happy...

Does that sound about right? Better than flipping a switch :)

Sounds right to me. I just need to control my patience and keep trucking along. I am usually not such a mental wimp, but life has gotten the best of me the last few days.

I will be fine.

Thanks Brit.

We all have those days!

And if you take that avatar away from us it could get ugly.

It's so natural to have feelings. That is the most human thing about us, besides the three hungers.

Sadness and stress produce a chemical in our blood that can only be released with tears. Think about all of the guys, and girls too, who dont cry.
I have seen clear evidence in my own body that talking about something, or just saying it, is incredibly benificial to my health. If working out is an outlet, thats really great. Really really. But sometimes just hearing yourself say the things that are bothering you outloud are a huge relief. So dont beat yourself up for having feelings, no one, and I mean NO ONE thinks you are a wimp. Everyone here looks up to you.

I bet if you turned Emo, and said it was the cool thing to do, half of the forum would do the same thing :p

Just kidding guys!! hehe

Exactly. Which is why I think "Zen and the Art of Archery" is a much more profound book than The Secret. No offense to lovers of the Secret, though.
