Well, Steve, I tried taking your advice, i.e. to make my weight training day a surplus. I felt like a cow, grazing all day long.
Here's my intake for the day:

The problem is, with my RMR of 2400 calories, and my workout today of 1,040 calories, I still ended up with a deficit of over 800 calories.
It seems the only way I can get beyond 2500 or 2600 calories is by eating junk food, which I really don't want to do. I really felt stuffed all day long. Even when I do eat a little junk food, I still don't go above 3,000 calories.
Or should I just treat myself to some ice cream on weight lifting days to get into a surplus?
