Journey, Not A Destination

dude the info you posted on h.i.i.t on p57 of ur thread is amazing. thanks so much for sharing what u know

Normal breakfast:eggs, cheese on them, toast with LOADS of butter/margarine chips or cereal etc etc,
New breakfast: English muffin and a small glass of chocolate milk.
Yesterday I had no breakfast and for lunch I had a cabbage stew, cabbage(duh) Carrots, assorted non spicy peppers, Onion, a little salt, and I accompanied that with a cold cut sandwich, and dinner was a skinless chicken breast. if anyone has any advice about how I am eating, I would appreciate it more than you'd know.

What? Your breakfast before seems better to me.

Why did you cut out the eggs? I personally would've kept the eggs and cheese, slapped them on a piece of whole grain toast (without the added butter), and instead of chips added a serving of fruit.

Infact, that was what my breakfast looked like for quite some time.

2 eggs= 140 calories
15 grams of cheese= 65 calories
1 piece of whole grain bread= 110 calories
Banana= 110 calories (depending on the size, of course)

About: 425 calories for breakfast. 550 calories if you want to add a cup of milk on the side (I always did). Is 550 calories for breakfast really that unreasonable? I'm not Steve, so you don't have to take my opinion to heart, he certainly is more experienced.

Page 57. Wow, that was a long time ago, lol. Glad you found something useful in this old journal. The first half of it was much more informational than the latter half.

Yeah, I don't know what it is but people have the little sayings, and the little bar that keeps track of their weight and such...I don't know how to do any of that, not that it's that important, but I do like it. Also, I don't care if you aren't steve, it's just good to get someone else's opinion I feel disgusting anytime I eat now, but I'm not gonna get a complex about it, I will still eat, afterall my favorite thing to do is cook lol, but thank you for your opinion lowfat. :)

Sul - just a suggestion: there are various areas on the board for different questions. You'll probably get better (faster) information and responses if you post questions about the board or more general questions to the appropriate area, rather than in people's journals. :)

I'm not saying that to be mean or anything .. just to let you know that you're likely to find the information you want by targeting your question to the right audience, rather than one individual. :)

again, I hate to say this, cause I feel like an idiot, but I don't know exactly where to go on forums for that stuff :(

Well, you need to look around. There are many areas of the board ... start looking at them and reading the various areas.

It's going. I've been real busy. I decided to take a break from recording much of my personal stuff in this journal. You're about the only person following along, which I appreciate. It's just not all that useful to the community anymore.

I've just been going around answering questions where I can.

I'm loving this time of year though. The leaves are starting to fall. The temp is just right. I don't know what I'd do without the seasons.

Wait...

I'd probabl be sitting on the beach in Hawaii.

:p

I figured as much about the journal, but I don't stop in TOO often either. Even if the journal isn't so needed by the community, that doesn't mean it's no welcomed!:patriot:

The seasons are great. I would hate to have any of them disappear-even when scraping the ice off of the car windows every morning!

Is Hawaii really as good as it looks in the pictures?

Hawaii is pretty damn awesome. Everyone likes different things so you'd have to experience it to decide for yourself. But for me... it was heaven.

Could I live there forever? I'm not sure. I've talked to a few people who have permanently relocated there from the main land and they say they all have gone through withdraw. It's an island so I imagine you start to feel boxed in.

I could definitely spend a few months out of the year there though.

I'd need a speed boat that's easily accessible. Something erupts... simply hop in, take off, and radio for help.

Highlight of the week in the gym was bench pressing 300 lbs for 5 reps.

I was happy.

I also buggered up my knee a couple of weeks ago though.

Training today....

20 minutes of incline walking on treadmill.

Flat BB Bench - 2x5, 1x7
Pushups with feet elevated - 50 total reps
Single Arm Cable Rows - 3x10
Pullups - 30 total reps

Starting to work on my mountaineering conditioning once again. Love this time of year though the work kicks my ass.

Tomorrow I'll work on cardio output work which is essentially long distance, steady state work which has specific adaptations associated with the cardiovascular system you don't get with higher intensity work.

Fun, fun.
