Journey, Not A Destination

Ok so in regards to what you said in the lovely Wishes' diary... No potential cable in the new place? Wow talk abut the sticks... :D

DirecTV an option? they do have high speed access

DSL thru the phone company? it's got phones right? :D

since you're new business is going to be internet based - having internet access is kind of important -not to mention my need to be entertained by you - and we know dammit, it's alwys about me.. :D

Hahaha, I don't you worry. I will have Internet. But I see some downtime in there somewhere. There is no cable presently. But I am quite sure that it's possible to do. It's just a bigger than normal job. Thankfully I have some pull with comcast and some of good techs in the area that will make sure it gets done.

Time is so limited it's not even comprehendable. But we waste it like it's going to be around forever.

Live Your Life Like You'll Die Tomorrow, And Dream Like You'll Live Forever!

We don't know what the next 5 minutes will bring -let alone tomorrow...

Time is the most precious of all commodities and one too many put the least value on...

I don't even have the words to comment on Cory- except i've been there - too many times

Wow I want a recount...

The Sunshine State's metropolis has the most beautiful people, according to an online survey of "America's Favorite Cities" by Travel + Leisure magazine, while Philadelphia came in last at No. 25.[/QUOTE]

So you, Krista and gordy and gordy's girlfriend (pictures of people i've seen) arentin philly proper.. but damn you're pretty people...

though i wouldn't mind being 25th in a beauty contest :D

Time is so limited it's not even comprehendable. But we waste it like it's going to be around forever. And we'll do all that we can to focus, appreciate and make use of the silly things at the expense of time and self development.

If we could have that on a few billboards and loudspeakers throughout the world I think it MAY just start to sink in.

Good stuff Steve!

On another note, Krista's uncle was killed in a car accident yesterday.

The death sounds like it was a blessing in disguise, tbh. He found out in feb. that he had lung cancer and they gave him a year to live.

They did MRIs on this head and found that he had severe brain tumors.

Maybe it saved him some agony.

Life is fragile.

Don't forget that. Each day is an opportunity and it's up to you to take advantage of it.

Each moment with someone you love and respect could be the last. Don't sweat the small things.

My condolences, and yes you're right. I definitely practice appreciation for my friends and family daily. And I live life in fast-forward, which aggravates some of my slower, mellow-er friends. Maybe it's because the deaths I've lived through (and the one I witnessed) makes me wonder how much time I really have, so I shove everything I could possibly do in a day, into that day? I have no idea. But either way, thanks for the words of wisdom and have a beautiful day. Hope your radon-home-expense situation gets resolved soon in your favor :)

Hello!!! And happy Friday!

I'm glad to hear things made a turn for the best!! I hope that all the bugs are worked out in a timely manor and you and your lovely wife can start a new life together!!

I would hate to live in Miami. Everything is about one-upping the next person.

I like to think of it as the same old life, just in a new location. :p

Gracias.

"To live content with small means; to seek elegance rather than luxury; and refinement rather than fashion; to be worthy, not respectable; and wealthy, not rich; to study hard, think quietly, talk gently, act frankly; to listen to stars and birds, to babes and sages, with open heart; to bear all cheerfully, do all bravely, await occasion, hurry never; in a word, to let the spiritual, unbidden and unconscious grow up through the common. This is to be my symphony."

"I would rather be ashes than dust! I would rather that my spark should burn out in a brilliant blaze than it should be stifled by dry rot. I would rather be a superb meteor, every atom of me in magnificent glow, than a sleepy and permanent planet. The proper function of man is to live, not to exist. I shall not waste my days in trying to prolong them. I shall use my time."

Wow...those are absolutely beautiful. Thanks for posting them. I think it's very easy to get caught up in the day to day craziness. But that reality check of just how short life is...I'm like you...I only needed to learn it once so when I start to get caught up it doesn't take long before I realize what's important. Helps me with the stress for sure. Although the struggle with my weightloss battle and it's previous failures were only worse for it since I felt I was wasting precious time. Glad that's not the issue it was :)

And I'm so glad that your house things seem to be working out. The other day I could have said "well if you don't get it then maybe another house, a better one is supposed to be yours" but nobody wants to hear that. That has never made ME feel any better for sure. And after hearing you describe the house even I wanted it, lol. You're future kids are going to love that stream in the back yard. I remember going to my grandparents house and they had one...my and my cousin used to take all our plastic toys and play in it and get soaking wet...good memories :) Once it's all finalized and you have time can you post pics?

Thanks....

There actually are pics posted in this journal. If you go to the main journals forum and find this thread, next to it will be a paperclip. If you click on it, you'll see all the pics I've ever posted in this journal.

:)

Wow that's beautiful...and the back where the stream is at is exactly how I pictured it...well without the bench :) That was a nice surprise. Are the pictures further up of inside a house that one?

News flash for those who are not aware: I have 13,000 posts here and they are all negative. I hate fitness and I hate health. My intent in life is to be a negative nelly and bring people down.

mmkthanx.

So, today I'm going over to sign the paperwork for the house and discuss with the seller things such as firm settlement date and a few little nuances as for who is paying for what. It should be finalized today. I'm pretty excited though there is a lot of work to be done soon.

I'm pretty tired, I didn't get home from Gordy's until 3 last night. We got a lot of work done on the site though and discussed some big picture goals of ours. It was nice to get the 'fire stoked' again. It's been dormant for far too long.

I think I'll be releasing my blog next week. Think being the key word there.
