Journey, Not A Destination

help!!

can you please post the link that said how many calories were needed to maintain, lose, etc.?

thanks!

No science to it. I normally use 15 cals x body weight (lbs) to determine maintenance. From there, if you are trying to lose, I will start with something like a 15% deficit.

Good morning Yoda...

hope your day is as awesome as you are :)

i saw a link you posted yesterday that i really liked. the reason i am wanting the link is for a friend. i don't think she wants to give me her weight, so i was just going to share the link with her. thanks!

Quote of the day

"Success is not measured by what you accomplish but by the opposition you have encountered, and the courage with which you have maintained the struggle against overwhelming odds."

oh goodness, i don't know! :)

you were talking to someone about their caloric intake, and you suggested they go to the link you provided. it was a really good link! it's ok, though... i will go hunting for it! hopefully i will stumble across it! :)

and i also just wanted to comment on your response to britta bear... i really liked what you said about our friends and boyfriends beng there for us when we need them. i also enjoyed the part about stepping back and asking ourselves "are we really happy?" i know it wasn't directed towards me, but the words apply to me as well. thank you for your insight!

oh yeah... and i hope the "annoying guy" thing wasn't in reference to the joke i made. i was completely kidding... i think you are a great guy! i hope i didn't offend you in any way!

I'm reminded of the coffee cup that I have at home - with the success poem that's incorrectly attributed to ralph Waldo emerson - (one of these days I'll find who actually wrote it - probably Hallmark :)

To laugh often and much;
To win the respect of intelligent people
and the affection of children;
To earn the appreciation of honest critics
and endure the betrayal of false friends;
To appreciate beauty,
to find the best in others;
To leave the world a bit better,
whether by a healthy child,
a garden patch or a redeemed social condition;
To know even one life has breathed easier
because you have lived.
This is to have succeeded.

Sorry I don't remember the link. I rarely post links... I prefer to ramble on and on. Maybe it was

And thanks for the kinds words. No, I was not offended at all, really. I have pretty thick skin to begin with, and besides, I knew you were only kidding. :p

I talk way to much. I was trying to find one of my old posts a few nights ago and couldn't.

My office admin sends out these newsletters everyday. Here's a quote that I thought you might like:

Extremely true. Easier said than done, but if you have the heart, knowledge, and willpower... changing your habits is the name of the game.

Good Morning Handsome Nekkid Chest Man :)

I just read a few pages back and saw the close call you had - geesh!
It is odd thinking of all the online people who would be left wondering what happened to so & so!

Keep safe,

oh my goodness, that quote is amazing!

i love it! :)
