Journey 2 a thinner me!

This is my first entry to a new thinner me. I know she's somewhere inside of me! It has been quite a journey to get where I am today - 25kg in about 3 years!

I'm 33 years old and weigh 90kg with a length of 1.65m. Obese? When I used to hear this word I thought "how do people let go so badly". Yet here I am myself.

An emotional rollercoaster caused by cancer! My mom had it for 8 years where she fought with her heart & soul! But 2008 the body couldn't anymore and she thought that it was time to go "rest" with our heavenly Father and meet up again with my dad.

For the last 3 years until that day my life was committed to making her comfy, spoiling her, making her laugh & being positive. Always laughing & having gentle words to try and make her forget the pain. Which meant no time or energy left for me. But it didn't matter - as long as she felt my love & care for her.

After a year and 7 months I've decided to take control back of "ME". No more excuses and living in the past!

Apologies for the long history story but I wanted you to understand how I got here. However from here it's positivity, encouragement and determination! 60kg here I come - ready or not! :hurray:

I did my bloodtests on Wednesday morning, so I'm hoping to get my eating plan soon! I'm so excited and determined!:

I will not let this "monster" defeat me - I'm in charge of this body and mind and I will loose the weight and look fabulous:seeya: again!

To all the newbies - we can do this hey? This site is so motivational and everybody that has lost weight WELL DONE whooohooo!!:cheers2:

I'm inspired by your journeys and hopefully we can help each along this road!

Will let u know as soon as I get my diet!

Happy losing seeya:

Im watching a program on TSN (The Style Network) called Ruby. Has anyone seen it?

Its about this severely obese woman named Ruby. She weighed 473 pounds. The program is about her journey & struggles to a slimmer person.

Very inspirational - thus far she has lost 103 pounds (only the first season in South Africa)

Started cutting out sugar from today. Still having bread. Will have bread until the day I get my diet which I hope is next week sometime. Going to miss my bread sooooo much!

Anybody who loves bread too - how do you get over NOT having bread???

Cheerio
:waving:

I miss the bread, not so much for sandwiches but I love crusty bread dipped in soup, etc. I find the easiest way round it to have Ryvitas with stuff spread on, or to dip Crackerbreads instead for things like soup. :) Yesterday I really wanted to eat smoked salmon but wanted to avoid the bread, so went for bagels instead... not quite the same, but a good alternative.
