Ok, so after seeing some pictures of me now from a recent Christmas party (now a junior in college), and then coming across a picture from my Freshman year in colege...i got upset. I hadn't realized how much I let things go. I'm 6'3" and weight 250 pounds. I used to be a strong, solid, 200. It's amazing how much difference a severely hurt ankle and alter you.
That got me outta of shape pretty quick, and just when I was about to recover, my mother was diagnosed with breast cancer. Became a pretty rough time for us all and the address stress didn't help.
Now, I'm ready to make a change, get back to the way I was and even better.
Monday I started back to eating better, and working out. I didn't start the weight training yet because I had to plot it out.
Tuesday, I walked 3 miles. I felt good! And also ate much better.
Today...I got up, grabbed my ipod, cranked the "Breaking Benjamin" and jogged about a quarter a mile and walked the rest. Man, I feel out of shape!! But I'm gonna do get it back! Later this evening, I did upper body training. Feels good to be doing this again. I just hope I can keep the motivation for the long haul. I'm really impatient, so I just need to keep reminding myself it doesn't happen overnight. I also got a buddy of mine at school to be my workout partner while we are there. Hopefully that will help.
