Hey everyone so im just starting this thread. My biggest was about 275 about 6 months ago but im hitting the gym and diet pretty hardcore right now so I wanted to track my progress through this website so I can look back for inspiration :)

I'll start taking some pics of morning weigh ins etc starting tomorrow.

Wish me luck :)

Goal weight = 170lbs

Welcome to the forum Josh! I'll wish you luck, but it sounds like you won't need it because you have a plan & sound very determined! Cheers, Cate

O wow, you made a good start already! Welcome to the forum and good luck on your journey :)

Thanks for the welcome everyone :)

the plan was to work out with the wife yesterday after work but apparently we had plans to visit my parents. I ate ok for the day. didnt really cheat at all but ended up eating much later than i should have.

Weighed in this morning at about the same weight.

Started today off well though. some oats and a banana for breakfast and have some grilled chicken and veggies prepped for lunch. I have been watching a ton of inspirational weight loss journeys on youtube and they help a TON!

things like obeasetobeast and fatmeetsfire etc.

heres a pic of the weigh in to prove the current weight :)

Motivational sites/videos etc do help. You're really doing well Josh! BTW we don't need proof of your weight :)

Cool, two new ones to search for on Youtube the next time I'm bouncing around looking for motivation. Have been watching some crazy ultra marathon/trail running videos lately.

sooooo last week wasn't the greatest in the weight department.

I didn't eat terrible but had waaay to many cheat meals and much less workout time then I should have. Oh well. its a new week and back to the grind.

I was really scared to weigh myself this morning but to my surprise i was slightly less than last week. Thank the sweet lord ha-ha.

~ Cate, I know I don't have to prove it but I am going to use it as an accountability and motivation tool. otherwise i could be like... I LOST 25 POUNDS IN 2 DAYS!

Its halfway through the day and I'm doing well. working out with the wife tonight doing P90X3.

If every week you do just a little bit better than the week before you'll get there. Having someone to work out with makes it much more fun. Here's to a good week for all of us, cheers Cate

What Cate said :) Also: enjoy that workout, what I like about being active is that it makes me more aware of my body and somehow better able to know what it really needs and what´s just hijinx.

Ok guys. feeling defeated here. Im having such a hard time with this. I know that I just need to get over it and keep pushing but its so friggin hard sometimes. I am still at the same weight. i keep on having really good days, then really bad days so i'm just maintaining.

anyone else going through this.

Most of us have been/are there. I've had quite a few false starts over the past nine months that boil down to only half committing to making any significant change. Hard to make a plan and harder to stick to it but once you do and manage to push past a couple sticky points it will really pay off.

Posting here regularly even if it's only once a week might help. Good luck!

Hey everyone! just wanted to check in. its been a while. well about 9 months!

ive gone back and forth but ive made some good progress. I am down 22 lbs and I am just over 230 lbs. still a good ways to go but im getting there!

Nice to hear from you again :) 45 lbs lost in total, yeah? That´s... more than a sixth of your original body weight - pretty great work already! It´s ok to have ups and downs and not always be the fastest; that´s real life. Knowing how to get back ontrack is what will keep you healthy and fit in the long run.

Thanks for checking in Josh. Well done on 22lbs lost. It is rarely a straight curve & we constantly learn. If you never give up, you will get there!
