My goal is to loose 105 pounds
-- What is the timeframe for reaching your target weight?
I would like to loose this weight in 1 year wich would be Feb. 2008
-- How do you want to accomplish your goal (what methods do you want to use)?
I am currently cutting back all of the junk food I used to eat (i.e chips,chocolate, cookies, etc..). Im not drinking soda anymore and replacing that said soda with water and crystal light if I need something for taste.
-- Who or what can support you in reaching your goal?

Im on my third week of dieting, I started the 1st of Febuary


I plan on using this diary as a place to vent my frustration on my dieting or basically anything else in life that might affect my dieting, or should I say life transformation :)

This week as been preety good for me, I have been taking in about 1100-1300 calories a day. I have been drinking atleast 3 bottles of water and have been excersing everyday for 45 minutes on the treadmill at 3.5 mph.

Its crazy because since I have been eating healthier I have noticed that my parents and siblings are just eating so much junk food.... one night it will be chinese food and the next they will eat at wendy's. Mom went to the supermarket and got cookies and candy along with pizza and chips. It really hasnt been that tempting because Im focused to loose this weight because of my health and because I want to be there for my son as long as possible. I also want to prove to my ex-wife that I can do this in the hopes that we can reconcile our differences, but thats not really the reason Im doing this for. My big goal is set and my support is in check and now its just a matter of going through the motions day in and day out until I achieve the desired result.

I like your attitude. That's what I keep thinking, I know what to do, I just have to get my head down and keep plodding on.
 
Hi and welcome to the journey! I too am just staring out and I actually need to lose more than what's on my ticker goal, but that just looked too far away- but that's so great that you're so motivated! I know what it's like to have so much junk food in the house. I live on my own now and still seems like i manage to find things when I reallly want them. Anyways, keep up the good work!!
 
thanks to everyone that replied.... my motivation for doing this is whats going to keep me from slipping up or having "bad" days. I remind myself everyday of why Im doing this and who im doing this for and its just seems to work for me....

weight-in is tomarrow for me and I know I have lost weight because I can see it in my face so I will be excited to share the loss when I find out tomarrow morning.

Again thanks for the support from everyone so far and I look forward to sharing my thought, ideas, bitching lol with everyone that wants to listen.

How did you choose 1100-1300 calories as your caloric intake?


Basically decided that was going to be how many calories I would take in... I know that there is a way to calculate how many you need depending on your height and weight, and going by that I think mine was 2200... but honestly I just cant eat that much anymore. Im happy with my three meals a day and a snack somewhere in there when I get the urge. It might be fewer calories then what i should be consuming but.. i dunno.


ps: i couldnt find the link to the calorie calculator but Ill keep searching in case you were interested

The reason I was asking is that your body will go into starvation mode if you aren't consuming enough and you will no longer lose weight because your body will hold onto everything it can and your metabolism will slow wayyy (I'm emphasising the slowness here, I think if I stress the y then it will show how slow it will actually be heheheh :D) down.

I just increased my calories from 1200 to 1300-1500./ I'm not saying that you and I are the same, just that to make sure you are eating enough to effectively lose weight!

Just weighed myself and I lost 4 pounds.... I know the "Healthy" weight to lose a week is about 2 but Ive been doing my workout everyday and just eating when im hungry. I can feel a difference and I really like the path im walking ( or jogging when I feel like it lol ) on.

I dont miss the soda's or the chips or any of the really fatty foods because Im reaping the benefit of my hard work.

Today for breakfast:

Power Bar Harvest ( Toffee Chocolate Chip ) <------ those are GOOD
1/4 cup of cashews
16oz of water
would of had a little more but I was running late for work

Today for Lunch:

Lean Cuisine Chicken Fettuccini
16oz water

Today for Dinner:
Brocolli and cheese
meat raviolli with mushroom sauce
crystal light

Ill update my meals as I consume them. Thanks for reading and I hope your week is going as well as mine
