My name is Jo and I'm a crisp(chip)-aholic. I'm 5"1 and 11st 12, which make me obese according to the BMI thingymabob,but I don't feel or look obese, just very overweight. I've been overweight since puberty I guess and seem to have inherited the metabolic rate from my mum's side of the family rather than my lucky siblings who take after my dad's side.


I've always been unhappy with my weight but never had the motivation to really do anything about it so thought that having this diary would help, if people could cheer me on or shout at me when i'm being lazy. Now is the perfect time for me to try and lose weight because I'm currently out of work and so instead of sitting on my bum all day i can spend all day exercising, just as soon as I can stop being nocturnal. I can't really go on a diet or anything because i get the same meals as the rest of the family, which aren't too bad, so I'm just going to try and cut out my beloved crisps and fizzy drinks and focus on exercise.


I'll hopefully be updating this everyday which what exercise I've been doing so if I'm slacking then please feel free to give me a kick up the backside and give me some inspiration.

had a fat weekend, boyfriend was here for 4 days and he eats loads because he's got a really fast metabolism so he's a bad influence and i didn't have any time to exercise except for walking around shops.


today has been better though, started taking some supplements to help me on my way and have done 40 minutes (in 10 minutes bursts because my cardio-vascular is rubbish) on a kind of running machine i have (your feet don't leave the platform things so it doesn't injure my knees with any impact).
