thanks penquin! i'm totally stoked about the december challenge and i'm definitely gettin' myself back together. as some of my other friends here on the board said, i was in a "slump" and it happens, so i'm okay with that, but now it's time to move on and get it together! whoo hoo!!

I'm new to the forum, but not new to the fight! I started my weight loss journey at 323 lbs, and am 296 currently. My lowest (most recently) was 283 but inattention and a self destructive bent have brought me back up a bit. I'm looking forward to recommitting myself to eating healthy and getting back in shape and I know I need support to do it. One of the ways I used was the 1x a week weigh in, and it really helped, especially with being patient and seeing long term weight loss and patterns. This seems like a really cool thread with lots of supportive people.
I know what you mean jm...I'm really anxious too....I haven't weighed myself in so long...I'm hoping to see some progress

well, i'm up 2.5lbs, but it's okay. i know why, so i'm not worried about it. it's two days before my cycle (or maybe one) and i've been hitting the weights hard, so i'm still all smiles!
