I am back! I have gained some weight and believe that it comes from taking my anti depressents again. They suck so much, but they work so I have to take them. I ran a marathon last spring and lost a lot of weight doing that. But now that I am teaching and going to Masters classes full time I have put on a lot of weight because I have not had the time to run. Also Ihave a boyfriend!!! He's so great, but he eats so much. Its hard to keep up with him when we go out. I end up eating as much as he does and he gains no weight.
But on a positive not I have been going to the gym 3 days a week and am trying to eat a little less. THe junk food is just so damn good. LOL. I am also trying to cook more, because I find that when I make my meals instead of cooking them I eat less and healthier.
 
I had such a rough food day. I was in the library all day studying and trying to get my class work done. I had a whole box of candy. Plus breakfast and plus lunch. I feel like a pig. I keep telling myself that I am going to stop eating like this and then I have a rough day and all I do is pig out.
 
I have lost nop weight so far. But I have also not made any real changes. I have been sitting in ffront of a computer all day for way to long. I will be here again studying at a desk all day. I have been eating like a pig and am just very depressed.
Breakfast:
Salmon and wheat bread sandwhich
Granola Bar
1/2 cup of orange juice
6 m&m's
1 starburst
* Candy will be the death of my diet
 
Now its after school and I know that I have a very long night of studying ahead of me. As soon as the bell rang I wanted to go out and buy food to help me deal with the studying. I am so happy that I caught myself and did not. I think that I am such an emotional eater and have just been addicted to really bad food as a way to deal with all of this stress. Because the reality is that I am really not hungry. I am just really stressed out.
 
This morning I had coffee, a piece of lemon pound cake, and some granola. I feel like today is going to be a good eating day because I am so much happier today than I have been in the last couple of days my stress level is going down also because classes are almost to a close.
 
are you using any program to keep track of your calories?

and do you know approximately how many calories a day you're shooting for?

I don't have ve a calorie counting method anymore, but I am hoping to get to the whole foods and veggies again instead of all of the crap that I am eating at the moment. Do you have a calorie counting method that has worked for you?

I was going to suggest fitday.com it's worked wonders for me, especially since I had never done anything like that before and really had no idea what I was putting into my body. It's quick and easy.. and especially around times with finals/studying/busy stressful schedules, it's good to at least be able to keep track of yourself by your food intake. I would strongly suggest getting something like it!
 
RadiantPebble-Thanks so much for the website. I am going to go there later today. I had a rough time last night went to class and had all the wrong assignments and the teacher was so mad. I also found out that I might have to take one of my classes over again, because I did another assignment all wrong. I am hoping that I can just get through this week and next week. But I am not sure. I had two bags of skittles last night and pizza. I was a eating fool. I am planning to go to the gym early in the morningon Saturday. I want to start sticking to an exercise plan.
 
I had a great morning so far. I had oatmeal and tea for breakfast and also carrots instead of skittles for a morning snack. I went to the gym and ran a mile this morning. I am just happy that I didn't start the day off on the wrong side again with eating a bunch of calories even before I left the house.

Have you lost weight in the past? If so, what has worked in the past to help you lose weight? I lost weight by cutting out all processed foods and not eating meat. I also lost a lot of weight through weight watchers.
Why do you believe that you did not lose weight or you gained the weight back? I gained the weight back because I ate to much high calorie foods late at night.
What, if anything, has not worked for you in the past in helping you to lose weight? Why do you think it did not work? I tried to starve myself and that didn't work because I am to busy to be weak all day long.
Would you try writing down all food and drink consumed for a given period of time? I have been trying to write down the foods that I eat daily.
Do you cook at home often? If so, what do you cook? I cook at home often and its usually pasta with veggies.

Tuesday I ate like a pig and Wednesday also. I am so upset with myself. I have my last final tonight and get paid in the morning so I should have more money to buy better food and also more time to run. I am hoping that I can start over this Friday. I did make some steps in the right direction with bringing veggies to work to snack on, but because I hate my job I just snack all day on just about anything. I am just in such a space right now and need to be uplifted and to see the positive things that are happening in my life.
 
Got up this morning and went to the supermarket at 4:30am. I had no food and knew that I would eat shit if I did not go to the supermarket early and make my own lunch. My body has changed so much and my boyfriend thinks its for the better, but I think I need to watch what I eat so that I don't get pudgy. So far today I have had an apple and some water and thats it. I am trying to have a fay full of fruits, veggies and nuts.
 
I almost made it to lunch. I have a very large salad with tuna to eat then its a meeting then its home and to bed. I have had a ton of carrots and celery with penut butter and also I drank 32 oz of water which was awesome, because I put lemons in it. I am off to a really good start.
 
Last night I pigged out at this meeting I went to, but besides that I was very good. It has been really hard to watch what I eat and to make sure that I am getting enough veggies but I am proud because I am trying my best.
 
Well I did it. I got up and went to the gym this morning at 5 am. I am just really proud of myself. I walked at a 9.0 incline and at a 3.5 speed for a 1/2 hour. I am a little bit sleepy, but I think that eventually I will get into the routine of workingout and not eating a crap load of calories everyday. I had a really good eating day yeasterday. Usually before I head off the the games I grab a lot to eat at the gas station and pig out and than eat when I get home or go out to eat dinner with my boyfriend, but last night I went right to the game, had a snack, but not as much as I would normally and I did not go out to eat with my boyfriend I went straight home.
Also I can tell the change in my energy level just from getting in enough veggies everyday. I have been going home every night and cleaning up and getting ready for the next day. I am not as tired as I was before. I am just having a really great day.
 
I had a good eating day yeasterday and I should have a good eating day today. We have finals at the high school that I teach at. So the students leave at 11am which is good because it gives me some nap time. I was so depressed yeasterday that I had to leave work early and go home and go to sleep. It was like my whole world was crashing in on me. But today feels like it should be a better day.
 
I had a really rough Christmas break, but coming back to school made me get back on track. I have had a salad for each meal and fruit and veggie snacks throughout the day. I have lost weight already. I have also been running. Only up to 3 miles, but the more weight I lose the better I am when it comes to running.
 
I had a good day yeasterday, but I did eat a bunch of chocolate. The thing that made it so good was that I packed enough veggies so that I would not have to snack all day on unhealthy foods. Also I am having a fun time at work. The kids are really stressing their little brains to figure out some of the puzzles that I have assigned to them.
 
At night I have really been eating a lot of unhealthy foods, but during the day I am still doing good. I have not lost any weight, but I have not gained any weight this week either. Next week when I have more money I plan on eating a salad at night from a restaurant, because right now I dont eat salad because I am tired of veggies by the time I get home. I have also been doing well with my water in take. Been really stressed at work so that has a lot to do with my not wanting to workout and just going home and going to sleep at like 5pm.
