Jogging Journal ?

I decided to make a new journal to keep track of my running. I stuck by my old thread for about a month and barely lost any weight. So yeah, I'm starting a new journal with a purpose :) Instead of focusing on just losing weight, I'll focus on a different goal that will help my weight loss too.

I've always loved running long distance and now that the weather is getting warmer, I've decided to take it up again. I will run outside 99% of the time on a beautiful trail by my house that runs along lake Ontario. The only goal is to be able to run the entire trail in 30 mins (right now it takes me about 40 minutes with frequent walking breaks). The plan of attack is to run 5 days a week for at least 30 minutes. Oh, and eat around 1500 calories a day of healthy food.

Hey Sunshyne :) Starting a new journal is a great idea, really hope it works for you!! I'm sure you'll have that run down pat in no time at all!!!

I just started jogging, too. It's new to me, I only do 2 miles at a time, but it's the only exercise I can do right now, so I'm doing it. I'll be watching this one!
 
That trail does sounds lovely - right now I jog around my neighbourhood and it gets boring pretty quick! Remember to keep your calories in check because that is most important and will really help shed those pounds! You can do it! Have a great weekend!

I realized this journal is kind of bad timing, I have exams until the 29th of this month. I will start tracking my progress then. I`d rather focus my energy on studying for final exams. I will be back on the 29th though!! and while I`m gone I will be keeping it healthy :) Talk to you guys later ?
 
Oh I like this journal because I'm planning to start jogging too! :) Sigh, that is until I get new shoes as I discovered (on my morning walks) that my right sole was falling apart. All the best on your jogging journey!
 
hi hi, i am back to running too. but i am doing it with c25k program (baby steps). gonna track this journal too. yay runners! :)

Thoughts: Today was great food wise. and I discovered a new trail which is longer and even more scenic..love it :) Exams were stressful, I was eating a TON. It's a miracle I'm not in the 160's after that 2 week episode.
 
That trail sounds great......I love running on trails! My parents house is on a lake and there are trails that go around it......oh how I miss getting to run there everyday! I find it a lot easier to run long distances on scenic trails opposed to the treadmill or running in neighborhoods, etc.

I'm running a 5k this Saturday and one of my big goals is to get back into long distance races!

Lucy - good to see you again too :) Running is going okay. My endurance sucks i can only run for about 3 mins straight... but as the weight comes off i should get better

Adam good luck on running your 5k! and yes i find that I can run longer outside rather than on a treadmill

Today was good...breakfast was cereal with milk, lunch was a homemade shake (strawberries, bananas, yogurt, ice, pomegranate juice). dinner was chicken.

Exercise: 45 mins jogging/walking

My mom got a magic bullet lol. At first I was like really mom....but then i realized I can make smoothies :) This morning I made a strawberry banana smoothie with a splash of peach juice and a spoon of yogurt. No added sugar and it tastes yummy =) All i need now is some whey protein...
 
^ Yes I'm so excited :D Any time now haha.

Exercise was a little different today: rollerblading :) About 2 hours, 900 calories burned.
