JoeBuzz's Journal

Ok, just got back from the gym. Did 1 hour with my trainer and 45 min of cardio. Eating was good today, although there is still some time left until the day is over.

Lets see how it ends. Protein shake should hold me over for at least an hour.

Bahahahaha, I should have realized. That is obviously no one's real ass! Hahaha you laughed at work. Nice job at the gym, you can do CRAZY pushups! I think I can do 3, seriously. I just got back from the gym too, wow we have exciting friday nights... good job with the food today!

yea... boy oh boy am i thrilled to be home tonight. the friend i was supposed to hang out with cancelled on me at the last second, so i was stuck home. Can you guess what i did?

i won the battle against hunger last night and against all odds did not eat anything from 10pm-3am. Time to have nutrisystem breakfast... yum yum.

I love this board already. You're all so supportive and kind. Thanks very much for the kind words.

Hi Pho,

LOL I love that clip. It's tough not to feel embarrased that, 1. I couldn't control my own body and 2. now i can't control my playtime on a game. In a way it makes me feel like i lose and I hate that. It's discouraging, you know? I'm in a good state of mind now, and on my way to 'recovery', just a matter of time. Thanks!

This forum is great for support, and some pretty cool people here. :biggrinjester:

I know what you mean about feeling embarrassed... I can still feel that for letting myself get as overweight as I did. But I truly hope it is something I can chalk up to a lesson learned and not go there again.

When you're feeling a little discouraged by the numbers on the scale not moving... take a look at how your clothing is fitting, how you're feeling. Could just be muscle gain/fat loss.

And don't forget to keep posting progress pics, that first 60 was pretty dramatic.

Because you asked...

I am currently playing COD WatW and FarCry2. I still play TrackMania a bit too.

Budget the time you are online - and don't do "10 more minutes...just 10 more minutes"...

Good luck amigo - we're all pulling for you.

Jim

My husband plays COD WatW with a couple of his buddies at work. Other games I see him playing currently are NASCAR 09, the new Hulk game, Lego Star Wars and others. I can't get over how incredible the graphics have gotten on video games... I remember playing on the Atari 2600 fer crying out loud.
(Wow, just totally dated myself, there.)

Lol that system rocked.

Quick update.

I'm drunk in a hookah bar and realized that controlling myself while drink is near imposiible. I'll have to work on this. Was good all day. Had cho plate chip pancakes at my friends birthday dinner with a waffle. Wow I can eat. Got to control myself more.

Hey Joe,
Sounds like you are doing well. What an exercise regime you have going on!
I have quite a few friends who play WoW and like you have become addicted to it! I think you are making a smart move by weaning yourself off it slowly, Im not a big gamer but my husband has a xbox360 and I have become a big fan of the Lara Croft games.I also went out and bought Universal Dance stage for the xbox, I am going to a bit modest here and say I can dance but damn that game gives you are run for your money!Great form of exercise.
I will pop in now and then see how you are going!! Keep it up!!

thanks for the support :) the game is evil...in large doses. i didnt do too good with my weaning this weekend. Although I did go out while I was here i played alot. Not as much as I normally would but enough.

Quick update. Had only healthy food today. Didnt eat any Nutrisystem food, though. I'm sure thats not a problem as long as i dont go crazy with calories.

Had grilled chicken with pineapple rings and carmelized onions (didnt eat them). lots of hummus and 2 and 1/2 low car pita.

Had sweet potatoe fries and some other veggies.

True. Making progress, the game, after these few days of not worrying about playing with my friends, does not hook me like it did. I acctually stop naturally and dont continue although I'm bored. I like that.

Update:

This week is a tough one diet wise.
Today I have a dentist appointment at 6pm after work.
Tuesday I have an optometry appointment after work.
Wednesday workout with the trainer.
Thursday go to the nutritionist and then work out with trainer.
Friday go to PA for a snowboarding weekend.
Saturday snowboard and sunday relax.

I'm going to have to work extra hard to get to the gym more than 2 times this week. I think I can do it, have to be strong.

even if you don't make it to the gym more than twice you are going snowboarding which is fantastic exercise.

Hey Joe ;) Thats so funny I always call them avatars too.. You have pics up? Ill have to go check them out! Youre avatar looks great too!

I am not really a gamer... I did love Doom though and LOVE guitar hero as well! I got addicted to the mobster game on myspace too for a little while lol

Youre going snowboarding, thats awesome! Yeah dont worry too much about it, it seems like youll be doing plenty of excercise~

Lady,

guitar hero is so much fun. my last vacation was spent (mostly playing wow) but besides that playing guitar hero at my friends house in virginia. Good times.

Oh man doom was fun too. i was always afraid to play it when i was younger though. Looking back on it, i cant understand why. :smilielol5:

I have those few pics on my before and in between pic thread.

If you, or anyone else from this message board would like to, you can friend me on Facebook (Joseph Buzzetta or Joe Buzzetta brooklyn ny). No worries if not, but I have about 200 photos there. Both from my largest physique to my smallest.

Tru,

Yea I'm excited about snowboarding. It's only my second time, but I enjoyed it so much last time that when I heard about the plans this weenend I couldnt contain myself. I kinda said outloud "f*ckin awesome" at work. Luckily my co-workers and I are close. :smilielol5:

As an added bonus, i dont have to drive. My friend is driving both ways!! Gonna be a fun time.

Quick update:

ate well today.

Nutrisystem eggs (yum yum yum.... texture was like egg flavored bubblegum)
1 slice unbuttered wheat toast
1 light and fit yogurt
fettucini alfredo from nutrisystem (one of the main ingredients, fish gelatin...yummy!!!1)
salad with oil/vin
a banana
lean turkey meat chili 2 bowls... i love the stuff
protein shake

So much protein!

Worked out with my trainer for 1 hour and did my chest and core routine. then did 55 minutes of cardio. Burned an extra 730 cal on top of what I burned during training session.

hehe guitar hero is amazing! too bad im soo uncoordinated >.> 5 stars on Easy! then *dies* i cant even play medium x.x

my boyfriend went snowboarding during christmas break... i would be too afraid to >.> once again... too uncoordinated x.x

=P

Messed up a little bit today. ate well all day long, but missed out on some calories. Not used to that. Was hungry for most of the day.

went to a pizza place while walking home from the doctor (been 4 hours without food, my meal before that was a snack of a nutrisystem cookie) and had a couple of slices of pizza. all that cheese, white flour and salt.

I feel guilty and a little upset at myself, but Im sure most of you know the feeling of being ravenous. Rational thinking is not something I have control over yet when it comes to being overly hungry.

It got too late for me to go to the gym tonight, since I have work to do. I will be back there tomorrow (as long as the dentist doesnt kill me).

I'm still feeling strong and ready to kick these lbs in the ass.

Also, I just came up with a plan. I will burn off the 600 calories at the gym over the week. Ill try for an extra 200-300 calories burned extra per session during the next few days.

Hey Joe
Thanks for dropping by my thread. Hang in there dude! I can relate just a little to your gaming addiction I remember when starcraft came out in like 98. I spent an entire Christmas vavation (I was a coach then) playing that thing until I beat it. Lucily I didnt do it on line. Any way doing positive things like fitness in the "real world" is a better feeling and will give you real results.

We all have days when we mess up, just jump back in there and you will be fine :)

good luck with your exercise plan

Just got back from the dentist. This guy asks me to tell him if i feel any pain while he's drilling my tooth, which i proceed to do in many ways. His response? "It's almost over."

Really?

Anyway. I ate perfect today so far. Thinking about getting a big healthy meal from my local healthy fast food place (grilled everything, low salt etc...)
