Hi Everyone,

Found a picture of me right when I started my journey to lose weight. I was roughly 345lbs. Since then I've only lost 60 or so Lbs, but I'm still proud. I attached some before and in between pics.

the pics are in reverse order for some reason. The first two are the in betweens and the last is the before. I cant wait to get to after!

I wasn't discrediting myself, although after rereading the post I can see my wording suggests otherwise. ;)

I was saying its been a long time now and I've lost only 60 of the 125 lbs that I need to lose. 220lbs is my goal weight and I'm excited to get there by summer!

Thanks for the encouragement syn! And look at the progress youve made. Awesome!

60 pounds is GREAT progress. Looking good.

Not to mention you're a real cutie pie now... you're gonna be a downright HOTTIE when all is said and done.

Just wanted to make sure ;)

How long has it taken you if you dont mind me asking?

Your welcome, and thanks :)

Oh and whats your routine like?

Sorry, didnt see this post first time around!!

I dont really have a 'strict' routine to be honest..
I dont go to a gym (although I go to Hapkido twice a week). I walk to work and back most days, which is just under 6 miles..and I have a Eliptical trainer at home which I jump on when I can be bothered (usually once or twice a week).

In regards to eating, just common sense really, I've cut out eating takeaways 3-4 times a week, and really watched my portion sizes, which for me, made a huge difference...I eat quite a bit of protein, but I still scoff down carbs by the bucket load ;)

Looking back on it, I have no idea how I've lost any weight at all!!! I guess you just gotta find what works for you and stick with it!!!

:Seeya:

Dude! Congratulations!

I've lost 65 lbs since i started my weightloss. I'm down to 355 lbs. I can't wait to get below the 300 mark,

:hurray: Congratulations on your loss so far! You are definitely moving in the right direction, must be doing some healthy things. Love it that you are a musician, too! You are doing great!

Cheers

Syn, I'm realllly impressed. You must hear/read this all the time but great job. A true inspiration. It took my about 4-5 months of work to lose the initial 60. From there its been plateau and plateau. No worries, im back on the horse.

Rowe,
Thank you so much. I looked through your posts and couldnt find pics of you, but really great job. I have nothing to compare too, but your numbers are astounding.

AbbGirl,
We musicians rock! Can I hear some of your stuff? My band is just starting out. Were metal, you?

Pho,
Really flattering. Thanks for the ego boost. Havent had one of those in a while. ;-) lol

There is already a big difference, Joe! You look great and I agree with the PP, you are going to be smokin' when youre done!!!

Its awesome you guys play metal, Im also into Industrial. Its really cool youre in a band, I hope you guys make it to where you want to go~

I only speak the truth.

Question for you... were you planning on going the route of being slender & toned, or bulking it up a bit with muscle along with losing weight? You look like you would carry it off well if you decided to go the muscle route.

lady,

It's hard not to say thank you all the time, but I couldnt have it any other way. I appreciate everyones comments. Yours and this sites support continue to amaze me. Thanks!

My band is new, still only have about 6 songs, 3 of which the only the guitars, bass and drums know. Our singer is away and we are looking for a keyboardist. Wherever we want to be will not be seen soon. We are patient and having fun so all is good!

Pho,

I've never been the slender and toned type. My body type really only fits into the bulky category. My trainer says that I was born with all of the tools to build myself up (in a good way). The answer is I'm going the body building route. Not to compete or to be overly huge, but where I know I'd be happy with myself and where I see my body in my 'dreams'.

thats why my ideal weight is 220 and not 175-180. 220 is not too far away. When i reach it and think I still need to lose weight. ill do so. :)

wooooh! looking good^^
its soo exciting when you finally get a chance to compare befores with your current.
you have made great progress!

thanks angelica! I'll post more pics as I see differences on my body. I hope to keep rolling like Ive been because its a good path to roll down. :)

Ah, so you're going to be a buff teddy bear! Teddy bears are great too. Fun to hug. :hug2:

That's what I did with my weight. I originally was thinking I'd get down to 170-175, then when I hit that range I decided to see what 165 was like, still wasn't quite happy with it so I'm going for 155.

almost there! only 3 more lbs to go!! im really happy for you. pics? its creepy to ask but I wanna see your before and afters, pho. lol

congratulations, you have a good start. hopefully it will motivate you to get into an exercise routine and hit the gym. i thoroughly believe its the only way to do it. i think you would see your weight loss speed up a lot. good luck and keep it up.

Since I have a bunch of strech marks around my stomach, arms and legs, I was wondering if I will have a ton of excess skin once I get to my goal?

If so are my options limited to living with them or surgery?

I'm finding very vague answers on google.
