!!! Joanne's Weight Loss Journal!!!

Hi guys, I'm 20 yrs old and I'm trying to lose as much weight as possible before the 21st of December.. which is the date I leave for a holiday! I've been fat all my life and I'm so tired of getting called chubby so I am really really going to do something about it this time!! AND MAINTAIN IT!!!

Now I'm sure most of you don't know me yet, I'm 20 years old and I have been struggling with weight loss since I'm 14 years old. I've always been the chubby kid round the corner and I've never really been anything near 'skinny'


When I was 18 my boyfriend back then broke up with me and it devastated me. I felt like he did that because he's so unattracted to me coz I was so big. Here I was back in my 18th birthday:




And so, I decided to lose all the weight I can! And I was soooo determined back then took me 2 months to go down to this..







But.. as time passed by I went back to my old habits.. had too much fun eating bad food. and after a year and a half.. I'm back to this not as fat as before.. but FAT.





So I am aiming to be like this:

I just received my starter pack with herbalife i hope it works (it's so freakin expensive)


So here we go.. I'm 162 lbs as of last week and I'm 5'2", and here's what I've eaten so far today:


Breakfast - herbalife shake
Lunch - Tuna Salad with Boiled egg
Dinner - going to have herbalife shake

I'm not going to exercise today, I normally do at least 30 mins cardio everyday but because I have my period (yep private information i know but hey) I'm not working out today! Well here's to a new journey for me! I iwll post my picture later and then post a picture every week to see if there's any difference!

I have a question for you. How many calories are in the herbal life shakes? Doctors say that a healthy diet is between 1100-1300 calories day (generally) and that if a person doesn't eat enough their bodies will go into starvation mode and start storing everything you eat as fat.

I really want you to be successful...just trying to make sure everythings working in your favor. Good luck!

I think there's only 200 calories per shake plus one glass of low fat so that's 300 calories. 2 shakes a day, so that's 600 calories plus my lunch so 400 calories. So round about 1000 calories a day :)

Thanks so much I might eat some more like fruit or somethin to make up for the 100 calories missing :)

Yeah same here! I hate how it makes everything go bad!! I'm really tired and sleepy I just want to lay down in bed because of the bloody thing! Lol!

Aww thank you so much :) I am sooo not going to eat anythign naughty for dinner even if my mum's planning to make the best pizza in town!!! With feta cheese, salami and the best crust.. mmmmmmmmm! BAD.

The race is not over!! It's soo much worth it to wear nice sexy clothes than to chew on a pizza.

Thanks but I wasnt good at all last night :( I had the naughtiest dinner.. chinese food and even ate ice cream afterwards. Then I surfed the internet and I saw my friends' myspace pages.... and they're all so skinny and beautiful!!! I swear to god they all are!!! It's like I'm the only one who's not perfect!! What made it worse was I asked my boyfriend and I said.. theyre pretty look! And my boyfriend said "yeah, they look like actresses".. made me real sad :( Coz that means compared to me they look like actresses :(

I HATE MY LIFE!!
 
The first picture is me now (160 lbs).. and the one was taken a year ago when I was 62 kgs (136 lbs)

I keep on looking at my friends' pictures ( i havent seen them in 3 years) and they look so gorgeous and skinny.. while here i am.. fat and ugly... my god i feel like killing myself. the more i want to eat when im depressed :(
 
Stop crushing yourself please, this isn't doing you any good what-so-ever.

You're asking a 163 lb body to do an extraordinary task. You're expecting to lose 20% of your total body weight in 40+ days. Realistically you're setting yourself up for more mental anguish.

Is it doable ?? It might be but why not go on your trip at 140 or 145 ?? it might be more realistic to achieve and you can enjoy the trip.

at 163, you are overweight and you have some fat on your body - hey we ALL do here !! But geez, the best support you need is to quit trippin' over others appearances and find your own comfort for who you are now and in the near future.

Cramming a plan in for a quick fix, ill-timed, short term cure to take a vacation is not a good method nor is it healthy.

Please compromise your goal and do yourself this favor. I swear you can lose and enjoy yourself in the process.
 
Thanks so much for the wake up post. I have actually lost weight in the past, it took me a year and a half to gain it all back with just not looking after myself at all. I lost so much weight in just a month and a half and I really think I can do it again. It's driving me crazy.. but you are right. What's the point of whining when I can just DO IT! :)

I'm so sorry with all my whining I have my monthly visitor that's all :(

Thanks so much! I really need support and you guys are absolutely awesome. I know that I'm going to end up failing if I keep looking at everyone else. My way of thinking from today would be different! How can I get to where I want to go if I'm not doing anything about it! SO FROM THIS DAY FORWARD I'M GOING TO DO IT NO MATTER WHAT IT TAKES!!!!

Yep, I'm thinking, if they I can look good and I'm already overweight.. what more when I lose weight! I'll look fantastic! Yay!!

and the most important part of losing weight is not to look like everybody but to feel good and be confident with myself! :)


I think I'm only like that because of my monthly visitor.. so.. no more whiny joanne anymore! :p
