Jill' starting over...

health magazine has a web diet guide that gives pretty decent reviews of most of the 'fad' diets available -their review of dr phi's diet is pretty spot on

so I defintily wont buy the book he recommended! The recipes are broken down into calories and stuff, so thats cool!!!

Honestly - in my most humble opinion *yeah right*

any diet will work or any plan will work if you're ready to make it work..

Just wondering if Mal makes orgasmic noises as she ogles her cookbooks. :D

Hi ya Jilly!

Glad it all worked out with your daughter! :hurray: She sounds very popular. :coolgleamA:

You can develop a love of exercise--I did. I used to hate it, trust me. My H would drone on and on about how much he loved exercise, how great it made him feel, etc. I would just sit there and roll my eyes and think, "What-ev-a.." But now I totally see where he's coming from. I took a 6 mile walk today--that's 2-3 miles longer than I normally do. By the end I was really feeling it, but it was a great feeling--like my body got a great workout, and I feel good because I know I got off my lazy ass and did something productive. :D Oh, and did I mention those endorphins? :p

Have a great weekend, amiga!

Thank you!!!

I do have a PLAN to get a nice long walk in today with my friend Beth! hooray!

yesterday was an overeating day but I tracked everything:

banana with peanut butter for breakfast

pb&Jelly with apple juice for lunch

2 slices swiss for snack

dinner, HUMONGOUS salad with tilapia fillets and tofu (trying to force the protein into the massively carb ridden day!)

snack at the drive in movie theater: large cup hot cocoa and 3 little choc chip cookies

Totals cals 2318 fat 85 carbs 266 protein 131

better go easy on the carbs today!!!

The drive in was so much fun, took my dear daughter and her friends, we saw a double feature "Horton Hears a Who" and "Jumper"

Both were excellent!! Horton is so much fun!!!

Jumper was awesome cause I just think Hayden Christensen is HOT! and it was fun to see my little "Billy Elliot" all grown up!

have a fabulous weekend my friends xoxox

1st drive in with the new van!!

My daughter is on the right...her Dad just picked her up, Im gonna miss her, but we had a good time, made good memories and NO guilt trips!!

Horton was so cute, wasnt it?

today so far:

breakfast: 1/3 smoothie (got shared with the two teenagers! that'll save calories!)

lunch: grilled veggie wrap, bowl sauage tortellini soup (clear broth soup)

snack: couple handfuls of white corn chips (gotta watch those handfuls, hard to track)

took walk along the new peir built down by the lake, not a challenging walk, ill admit, but I got a bad cold, so I better not push it!

Dinner: protein shake with whey powder, ice and water

Totals cals 1433 fat 50 (33%) carbs 116 (29%) protein 125 (37%)

this weather is knocking me OUT!

ok, so I thought I was done for the day until I got some mail from a friend from the battered mothers custody conference... which i spoke at last year...

did you know that 75% of battered mothers are losing custody of their kids to their abusers?

anyways, it was some videos on her blog, and they just triggered my sadness, anger and depression...

so I finished 1/2 bag of choc chip cookies and the tortilla chips

THIS IS WHY I AM FAT

next time, Carlie is bringing her favorite foods back to her dads with her or im gonna throw them out!

today I had a smoothie for breakfast:

strawberries, scoop whey powder and a bunch of ice... mmmm

going to ride my bike today, thats the PLAN!

packing my lunch: tuna on 12 grain bread... with 1/2 avocado and celery and an apple

have to go shopping later, out of everything! veggies, fruits, skim milk... have lots of chicken and fish in the freezer, just need to remember to defrost it so I can enjoy it and not have to have smoothies all the time!

plan for dinner: salmon steak, and veggies...

love to everyone, have a fabulous day!

ps. I cleaned the kitchen today, for some reason, its SO MUCH EASIER to eat healthy when the kitchen is clean!!!

ps. Im watching the birds play in the bird bath!!! soooooooooooo cute!!!

Tomorrow is my 2nd weigh in with this new PLAN... I know i havent done perfectly, but 4 out of the 6 days I have done well, two bad eating days.... ill post results tomorrow...

trying to focus on...

keeping foods clean and healthy (I blame myself for having the junk food in the house, I specifically took daughter to the store so she could get what she liked, when it was gone, I bought more.. MY MISTAKE...plan for future: limit junk food in the house, I do NOT have to please the teenagers!)
move
hydrate
watch calories and fat
utilize fit day when planning meals
protein and carbs at about 40% each

Your daughter is so cute :). Sounds like you had a great time. And letting her re-up on junk food isn't helping her in the long run either (never mind ruining YOUR diet!). Good luck on the weigh-in results.

thank you, sweetie!! This journal sure helps me figure out where Im going wrong!

I didnt take that bike ride today, im still feeling really yucky, bad cold and probably depression setting in....Im going to go force myself to try to take a ride... wish me luck!!!

I forgot what it was called, coke zero? anyways, it was soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo freaking good!!! and while I was drinking it, I was like, "this is sooooooo freaking good....and HEY! Im not depressed anymore!!"

I really am gonna strive for this 10,000 steps a day business.. I made it to 3,000 today and I didnt put it on until 3:00! I also got that power bike riding in, It the first time ive exercised in.. along time!!

dinner: salad with tuna and avocado (ok, my meals have gotten BORING, but they are soooooooooooooo easy and Im soooooooooooooo lazy now that the sun is out, I do NOT want to spend all day in the kitchen cooking and washing dishes... BORING!
