So, I'm finally starting my new journal... I haven't been in here since November 12th, and its bout time I made my way back here! Its about 11:10pm, 50minutes away from a new year, and looking back this year, I've had some pretty good things happen, and some pretty shitty things happen.
The most recent good(and main reason I haven't been on in so long) is that I was made manager at GNC. Hopefully, I can turn the store around, make it one of the best the company has ever had. Unfortunately, I was the only employee for the first three weeks of it, and was working TONS of hours!! But, things are starting to taper now, and I'm getting ready to re-embark(sp??) on my 'weight loss journey', lol, that sounds so stupid, but whatever, right?
Here are a couple things that I plan on doing, from now on:
1. Post in here at least 3-4 days per week.
2. Work out 5 days per week.
3. Get my food on track, stay within calories, have a generally better diet.
4. Stop using excuses! In the past, I've had three jobs, and used being
as an excuse to avoid workouts. I only have two jobs now, and one of
them is on Fridays and Saturdays, the only days that I can't workout.
So, that means Sunday thru Thursday I have NO reason to avoid the
gym. ESPECIALLY since I work there :D

Heres to the New Year, and heres hoping you will all keep me on track. To everyone: Good luck, and good work already :) Our year is just starting, so it can only get better!
 
Ok, so, this is gonna be a quick post cuz I gotta go to the gym, but I just wanted to stick with my resolution to post in here more often, lol!! Thanks, Prettythings, I was really religious here for a long time, and then some unpleasant shiznik went down, and I got out of it, and blah blah blah.. we've all given the story a time or two, correct?? :rolleyes: anyways, I'm off to be sweaty and stinky!!

Tonight- I'm cleaning. And obviously posting, but thats besides the point :D I have worked 34 hours in two days, with 5 hours of sleep... so I'm gonna clean(cuz I have some company coming) and then I'm gonna PASS OUT! I'm already daydreaming about sleeping, wowee. Anywho- so last week, I worked out everyday, and I'm soooo happy about it! I only did cardio each time, never made it over to the weights, but that will be this week, hopefully. Since I work at the gym, my company thats coming to town is gonna work out with me, and I got her a gym pass for the week, so that'll be cool, haven't had anyone to work out with in a long time. Unfortunately, and I don't know if any of you have workout partners like this- shes one of those people who get on the eliptical, or the bike, or the steppers, and then five minutes later goes- so, when are we gonna be done? GAAA! seriously! So, shes got two choices: Work out and shut the hell up, or, don't work out and find something else to do, lol.
Ok, so I'm not working out tonight, like I already said, but I'm gonna try to make it up by doing an extra 10-15min cardio the rest of the week.

Hi Jessie, I've never posted in your diary, but saw you making the rounds and decided to say hi! What do you do for work that has you working 34 hours in the span of 2 days?! That's crazy talk! LOL
 
Hey everyone! So, tonight was a pretty good workout, did cardio, AND even made it over to do some bicep curls and arm extensions, along with a little bit of an workout. My arms are a little shaky, which actually makes me happy, now I just gotta make sure I keep my weights up.

Hey Kezzy! I have already lost 40lbs, but that was beginning of last year, and after some unpleasantness in September I gained 10 back, :( , so I would REALLLLLY like to lose another 70-80 to be at a goal awesome skinny weight, but my main goal right now, for this year, is 45lbs. So, heres to some hard work, cuz thats what its gonna take :)

SaturdaySaint: I'm the manager at a General Nutrition Center(GNC) and I work part time at Oz Fitness, which used to be 24Hour Fitness... Yeah, it made for a long weekend working 34 hours, bleh! Lets hope I don't have any more of those coming up :D
 
45lbs sounds like a good and realistic goal for a year, you can totally do it esp with hardcore workouts like those!!!!
 
Oh man... you guys are in for a doozy of an excuse tonight... It snowed like crazy here today, and my car(mazda3) has lo-pro tires, and I CAN'T drive in it. Its aweful! It took me like three minutes just to turn a friggin corner tonight, so I'm not going to the gym :( However, I'm going to get on our treadmill and walk a little bit... even tho I hate threadmills, bleh!
My arms still hurt a little today, which is a great reminder that ya gotta work out to actually get anywhere, so trust me, I'm not forgetting, or putting it off!

Thats what im doing tomorrow and for the rest of the week - apparently we are due some rain :(

Thanks again for stopping in my thread. I ready our very first thread just to see what you're working with and found out you've lost quite a bit of weight, that's a great job. You really just need some confidence booster and it should set you off going. :D

Also, I gotta tell you, its gotta be so awesome to actually work in a gym. Just make sure you can get your daily time in and your weight should drop off no problem. And of course, watch what you're eating.

When I lost my 25+ pounds, I did it almost effortlessly, then somehow I got caught in a daze and agained most of it back. But I've finally got the focus back and I'm going to give it another whirl, hopefully I won't ever fall off again.

It's a new year, goodbye to 06 and the bad memories, and lets have a great year!

So, I had the laziest weekend of my LIFE! I scheduled myself off(since I'm the boss, woohoo!!) at GNC on Friday and Saturday- the first weekend off since November... Unfortunately, still hadta work at the gym. But its ok- I got in some great me time, chilled in my pjs for a looongnnngggg time. I'm gonna do some posting in diaries, then I'm headed to the grocery store to get my weekly skinny food, then off to the gym.

Hey Jess! Love the skinny foods!! My husband makes me so mad because he doesn't like me buying "diet food". To him, I should just control portions and not eat things that aren't "normal". I told him that THIS IS WHAT WORKS FOR ME! I eat 5-6 times a day and have dessert and stay at 1200 -1400 cals with the food I eat. Not so with most normal food. Anywho.. sorry for the rant!

I'm so jealous that you get to work at a gym! I've always thought that would be the coolest place to work. I'm joining the gym up the street in a few weeks (income tax present to myself!) and I'm soooooo excited about it.

Hey guys! So as far as skinny groceries: I get ground turkey(the george foreman grill is AWESOME lol); lots of veggies- always precut tho(other than cucumbers) cuz its easier, and also, you can't say- ohhh, damn, forgot to cut them up before they went bad! lol...; 100cal snack packs- not neccessarily the lowest in fat, but easy to have with me; local string cheese; laughing cow lite cheese wedges(only 35cals, and amazing!); Diet V8juices; Diet Arizona Green Tea; yogurts... basics I guess :)
Worked out pretty hard last night... Did 35min on the eliptical, I think it was somethin like 495cals burned(I don't have my palm pilot on me, but I remember being mad that I just missed 500 :rolleyes: ), and then did arm extensions and bicep curls... Biceps don't hurt super bad, but my tris, man, they make me wanna cry a little. But I like it, I'm ok with good pain. :D
The scale last night said I was down 3lbs from where I started... not terrific, but not aweful. I'm not looking to break any records, definately, but I would like to see my body get rid of the fat as fast as it did last year... So I guess I just need to work hard, and never give myself a reason to get lazy.
Ok, I won't be able to check on a lot of diaries tonight... Gotta go workout and then pass out- have corporate at my store at 8am! 8??? Are they frickin serious? I don't even like getting up early enuf to go to work at 9:30...
Oh well. Talk to ya guys tomorrow!
