Jen's Diary

Thanks, guys! Cate... no more drawings yet. The weekend just did not turn out like I had hoped. :(

This weekend was just.... well shitty. Not necessarily food wise, but it sucked. Saturday I ate the brownie with some ice cream and a bigger dinner. Sunday and Monday I was excellent on calories. But I'm back up to 202 on the scale this morning. Doesn't really help that I'm about to start my TOM. UGH. Being a girl sucks. lol. I know it's just water weight, but uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuugh. Come on already!!!!

Last night we had my son's Christmas concert. I took a pic of my him in front of our Christmas tree, and I'm pretty sure he aged like 5 years in that one picture. He looks so grown up. I feel old now. Real old. haha! He's not allowed to grow up, apparently he doesn't know that though. :(

Tonight is my daughter's concert. So we'll be rushing home to do homework and eat a quick dinner so we can go to that.

Calories so far today are great. :)

If it makes you feel better. I am a boy and I jumped up 3.4 pounds today. At least you have a reason.

So I don't follow sports or live in Minnesota, but since you at least live there this may not be news to you. I learned this morning that the basketball team the Lakers were originally from Minneapolis and were named for your state's motto "land of 10,000 lakes". LA would be closer to the "land of 10,000 freeways".

I hope your concerts are enjoyable.

haha.. wrong "Mi" state. We're in Michigan.. although we do have a LOT of lakes too, and we're shaped like a mitten, so that's a bonus. lol!

Well it's no like it's written in every post you make or something. I'm quite the rocket surgeon today!

As a girl, do you get to revel in the weight loss a week later? That whole scene is confusing to me.

Never knew that about the Lakers, but it makes a lot more sense now.

I actually never seem to have a jump up in weight before TOM, but I always tried to convince myself I did. Then I'd be angry when I had no loss to celebrate later. And then I'd go eat some chocolate.

LOL, Oaks. Chocolate fixes everything. WAIT... this is a weight loss forum... I probably shouldn't say that. Chocolate is bad... soooooo bad! haha!

LJ- I almost always go up on the scale before, and then when it's over I have a good drop on the scale. ...but every woman is different. In any case... it all sucks. haha!

Q- Don't worry about it. I certainly have my "rocket surgeon" moments. haha!

----------------------------------

Well the concerts went very well. My son spent most of his concert flirting with the little girl next to him. I also gave him a Santa hat before he went on stage. *Sigh*... big mistake. I told him ..."Don't play with your hat.".... and HE didn't. He left it alone, UNTIL the girl he was talking to started playing with it. I saw her reach for it... and was like..."noooooooo!". haha! It was cute and funny, and we can definitely say he has no fear of being a ham on stage.

My daughter's was great. She's in 5th grade, so their concert was a little bit bigger. They even had a little choir and dancers.

Today I have another IEP meeting for my son at the school. They are most likely dropping his occupational therapy, because he has met ALL his goals!!! Yay! If they do drop it, that means he'll only be receiving speech therapy. Which is great, because that would be less time he's pulled out of his classroom for other services. Every time he's pulled out, he misses something in his regular class. Which has always bothered me. He used to receive speech, physical, and occupational therapy.... and was missing a whole lot of class time. So, only being pulled out for speech would be great. :)

Was great on calories yesterday. So far so good today. Not a whole lot to report on the diet front. I think next week I'm going to start going to the gym again. Chef got us both memberships to the gym through work, so I kind of feel like I have to go since he's paying for it. Plus, I just need to get off my butt anyway.

Did not weigh myself this morning.

IEP meeting went very well yesterday. They did drop his occupational therapy. Yay for that! Basically the gist of the meeting was that his reading is improving and that we mainly need to focus on math right now. It's relieving to know that we can focus on one thing, rather than trying to work on a bunch of different things. So we'll be hitting the flash cards and math fact games hard.

Worrying about my son's schooling is one of the things that constantly stresses me out. That meeting made things a little less stressful though. So that was nice. :)

We're having tacos tonight. I won't be eating an appropriate amount. Just admitting that now. haha.

Hana, the phrase 'English tacos' seriously does not sound appetizing! I'm picturing them made with potatoes and a roast.

Great news about your son, Jen!

Great news about your son Jen! Look forward to when you have the time to do some more drawing- for your sake as much as anything xo

BUT APPROPRIATE TACOS IS A CORNERSTONE OF DIETING.

haha! I know...I know. I'm waiting for LJ's book to come out. You crack me up. :)

yeah.. yeah. :p

Still 200.6 this morning. I consider that a good thing. Should have a good drop soon.

There's a woman that lives in our apartment complex, she's our manager's mom, and she's kind of a neighborhood grandma to all the kids that live here. The kids love her. :)

She dropped this off for the kids this morning.

It's heavy and reeks of delicious homemade fudge. My willpower is being tested today. haha.

Thanks, guys! :) I'm thrilled to be under the 200 mark again, but I'll feel better when I lose a few more pounds and the mark isn't so close.

199.0 this morning.

Discovered last night when the kids got home and opened their gift that there was also 2 little loaves of homemade bread in with the fudge. Sigh. Pure evil. I want it sooooo bad. It's making my mouth water just thinking about it. haha! ......BUT it's for the kids! I can't. I won't! ..... maybe just a small piece? NOOO! <<<That's going to be my internal dialogue all day. haha
