Lighting isn't the best. My next big purchase is going to be a good light for my table. :)

I'm waiting for Chef to get home from work. Then we can eat, and then I should probably get some work done tonight. Exciting stuff. lol. Tonight will be the first night back on track without the kids, which is usually our night to goof off, stay up late, and shove gross amounts of food and drinks in our faces..... Must. Resist.

& my husband I thought looked like Dustin Hoffman, when I first met him & I also think Dave Grohl looks pretty cute too, so there you go. There is a similarity actually. Hope you & Chef resisted shoving gross amounts of food & drinks into your faces!

Thanks, Cate! We did pretty good. :)

Had another good day today. Not much to report today. It's been kind of a long, tiring day. I'm ready for bed.

Yesterday went pretty good. I went over to my mom's and she had cashews. I probably ate about a half a handful too many of those, but other than that it went well. lol.

Today we are going to Traverse to do a little shopping and just to get out of the house for a while. It should be nice. :) OH, and I'll also be picking up a battery for the scale... dun dun dun. Scary! haha!

Well, I was pretty accurate on my guess of 220 unfortunately. I weighed in at 219 this morning. Ugh. So I have a long way to go back down to the 100's again. But it's nothing I haven't done before, so I'll do it again. :)

I took my car out several times yesterday and it was acting up. I decided last night that I would take it to the mechanic this morning, and of course it was perfectly fine this morning. Stupid car. I stopped and asked him about it this morning anyway, and he had a couple ideas, but nothing he could really check if it wasn't doing it at the time....so now I sit and wait for it to mess up again. Definitely raising my anxiety level. I hate car repairs .

Today I'm going to do my mom's shopping, and then come home and draw. That'll help relax me a little bit.

Had some granola for breakfast. Not sure what's on the menu for lunch or dinner yet.

You're drawings are spectacular, and if they keep you away from snacking, all the better.

I'm a big calorie counting enthusiast, but understand that it can be harder for different people in different situations (and both my numerical memory and ability to manipulate numbers in my head likely makes it easier for me than others). If the calorie counting has stopped working, trying something else is a good move.

You have an incredible talent, wow. Wouldn't surprise me if you did part-time work as a police sketch artist, you're amazing at what you've done so far. Those pesky cars can be just like a significant other, doing things you don't want them to do and then sometimes they get it just right. I like your outlook on the weigh in. It can be a bad thing and demoralizing, for some, but only if you let it and you've decided to not let it be like that. Excellent handling of the situation. You've made an amazing progress from where you were to now, nothing can stop you from that goal. Keep pushing and doing what you've been doing!

Thanks, guys! Appreciate it! :)

So yesterday ended up being way different than I had anticipated. I got pretty much nothing done. I did do mom's shopping, but when I got back from that she informed me she needed to go get labwork done and go to the doctor. The doctor ended up admitting her(she's fine) for a couple hours to give her a potassium IV. By the time I got home it was time to pick up kids and then start homework, dinner, and all that jazz. Dinner was yummy.. pork chop and veggies. Tonight is chicken of some sort.

Chef made deviled eggs yesterday...and they are the devil. :reddevil: Had like 3 too many of them last night.

Art update...

I still have a lot of hair to do on Dave Grohl. I find beards sexy, but not fun to draw. I'm glad that part is pretty much done. haha! And still lots to do on the drawing of my dad, but it's coming along.

216.8 this morning. I'm sure it's water weight, but I'll take it! :)

I just got up a little bit ago. Chef took the kids to school this morning, so I got to sleep in a little bit. Wasn't that hungry this morning, so I just had a piece of toast and some orange juice. I'll probably have horrid heartburn later. I love orange juice, but orange juice does not love me. :(

Aaaanywho.... today is Wednesday, so the kids go with their Dad tonight. Not sure what we're having for dinner yet, but it will probably be something low carb. After dinner I'm going to get on the treadmill. I already did some squats this morning. I'm going to start doing some of those everyday.

One of my friend's daughters teaches a hula hooping exercise class. I was watching some of her videos last night. I can definitely see how that would be a work out... and super fun at the same time. She uses regular hula hoops I think, but I know they make weighted ones too just for exercising. I might get the kids some hula hoops, and steal one to see if I can even do it anymore. It's been a few years since I've tried. haha!

Also wanted to put a reminder on here for myself that I need to dig out my exercise ball. :)

*********Edit

30 minutes on the treadmill.... Check.

Today has gone pretty good so far. I had a little cup of chili for lunch. Had to skip breakfast because I was running late and had to pick my mom up to take her to the doctor again. I did not want to drag my butt outta bed this morning. I can definitely tell I haven't exercised in a while. I'm sooooo sore. haha. BUT... it's a good sore. :)

Dinner last night was taco salad. Not sure what were having tonight. I'm probably going to have to go to the store though, unless there's pork chops in there. Which I think there just might be. *fingers crossed*

Chef and I were looking at wedding venues in Ohio last night(he's from Ohio and we'll probably get married there). We still haven't set a date yet, but hopefully we'll do that soon. I seriously have to stick with it this time. I'm not getting married at this weight. That is not happening.... So. Not. Happening. haha.

LaMaria: The exercise ball has been located. I just need to air it up now. That's on my list for tomorrow. :)

Oaks: Taco salads are awesome! My favorite food ever is tacos though, so of course I love them. lol!

Not much to report. I had a pretty good day I think. We did have pork in the fridge, so that was what was for dinner. Had a few dark chocolates for my snack tonight. I honestly wanna go have about 10 more, but I won't. I'm not ruining my good work today. The snack monster will not win tonight! :)

I always feel that i need snack after dinner at night. I try to limit it but i don't often manage it. I usually want something sweat. I think it has to do with emotional eating, you want something that you think that relaxes you at night when you are at home. I think it ‘s a difficult point in a diet the snack at night. And when I don’t have something at night the other morning I feel starving. I think that it’s emotional most of the time and a matter of my routine. However, I try to find motives so that this wish for snack at night would be succumbed although haven’t succeed enough at present time.

I believe we've discussed taco addictions in the past. I don't know what it is, but you could make foi gras from my liver if you put me in the same room as tacos. Sorry, too morbid?

Oaks: Thanks!
ABY: I definitely think my snacking at night is emotional and also a habit. I still have a snack at night, but I do at least try to keep it small. It's a hard habit to break.
LJ: Never too morbid. lol.

216.0 this morning. Considering it's my TOM, I will take any loss right now. lol. Chef made pancakes for the kids this morning, and I ended up having a small one with butter and a little sugar. I probably shouldn't have since were having a heavy dinner... meatloaf and mashed potatoes. Gonna have to go easy on dinner tonight. I also plan on doing the treadmill at some point today. Already did some squats.

Anyone else use the Nivea Skin Firming and Toning Gel Cream? There is a regular lotion too, but I'm talking about the gel one. My mom recently had weight loss surgery, and she mentioned that the doctor's office recommended it to her. Sooooo, being curious, I bought a bottle(The doctor recommended it! I couldn't help myself..I HAD TO. Don't judge me. haha). The stuff is like $10-15 a bottle depending on where you get it, but I think it actually might be doing something. It hasn't made a huge difference, but things seem smoother(?) and look better. I'm almost starting to wonder if I'm really seeing a difference, or I just WANT to see a difference. HAHA! I swear if it wasn't so expensive, I'd bathe in it. :D

I will have to look into this

For research purposes... I applied it twice a day like it says on the bottle. I probably used more than I needed to. :) Although I did see one review about it where the lady said she applied a bunch of it and then wrapped herself in saran wrap overnight. I did not go that far..... yet. haha!

I´m guessing that if there´s an effect it´s more likely due to the twice-daily massage than to anything in the lotion. Doctors rarely have a clue of stuff outside their own speciality. But that´s just my opinion :)
