Jen's Diary...

I started my weight loss journey last Wednesday July 11th. I started taking this aerobic kickboxing class that is really intense.:boxing: Apparently with each session you are supposed to burn between 700-900 calories-- and it feels like it! Well this last Wednesday I weighed myself and I lost 6 pounds, so I must be burning something... I've completely cut out any soda. I haven't been eating any fast food, which is sometimes hard because my boyfriend is a fast food junkie... he pretty much lives off the stuff (he is in great shape, though-I don't get it). So I'm going to continue going to this boxing class 4 times a week, like I have been and try to start running on the days that I do not. I really hope this works, I have never been this heavy. I really need to make a change...

wow jen... ur totally off to an awesome start. I tried doing the kickboxing class at my gym one time ....i made it half way through and couldnt keep going. it was insanely intense. So , needless to say, you're doing an amazing job!

Ok so I haven't been on in a while, I've just been so busy with school and other stuff...
I'm still trying to lose weight. I haven't been as successful as I had hoped, but at least I'm not gaining, right? As far as exercise goes, I've been walking a lot. That's about it. I have been keeping up with my diet pretty well. I always eat breakfast now. For breakfast, I usually eat low fat yogurt. For lunch, I like low fat cottage cheese with fruit or tuna on pita bread. For dinner, I have been eating skinless chicken breast or fish with vegetables. I don't snack at all anymore and keep my caloric intake at about 1000 calories per day.
I guess my problem is finding time to exercise more. If I do that, I'm sure I will lose more. I mean, most of the weight I have lost has been in the past month or so...:)
