Jen's Diary: To 180 or Below...and Maintenance!

194.0 this morning. Just got back from doing a little shopping. Picked up a couple new pairs of yoga pants. It's kinda hard to exercise when your pants are falling down. lol! Didn't get shoes though, couldn't find any I liked. I'm gonna have to look around a little bit more for those.

Time to get to work. I hope everyone is having a great weekend! :)
 
Another 1.2 pounds. Good job! The holidays were merely a speedbump.

On the pants thing, I'm also due to have to drop some coin. I'm down about 9 inches on my waist since July, and about 4 since my last pants purchase in October. It's the tiny amount of bad to go with the big amount of good.

I've pretty much had to replace everything clothing wise. Luckily I'm a cheap jeans and t-shirt type girl, so it hasn't been too expensive...lol. I've tried to limit how much I buy though, and buy just enough to get me through. I'm pretty sure I'll only be going down one more size. The skinniest I've ever been as an adult is the next size down from where I am now. I can't see myself being any skinnier than that. So, I'm nearing the end.. lol!

I just got back from 2 hours of grocery shopping, which included going to two different grocery stores, and like 5 trips in the house to bring groceries in. We are not short on food this week, that's for sure.

I'm going to finish up my work that I have to do, and then I'm hopping on the treadmill at some point. :)
 
What's that I hear? Oh, yeah, the sound of peace and quiet from no children. YEEEEEAH! Ahh, today is a good day. :D I'm currently sitting here with a heating pad on my hip though. It hurts, not bad, just enough to be annoying. Hopefully the heat loosens it up a little bit.

I'm also keeping an eye on my dog. Had a little bit of a scare with her last night. She was laying in her bed on the floor sleeping, and then all of a sudden she jumped up and started staggering around, like her back legs weren't working right or something. She was fine after about 10 minutes, a little shaky, but not staggering anymore. This morning she seems perfectly fine, so I don't know what was wrong with her. It was really weird though. Poor doggy. :(

Today I'm just working , and enjoying the quiet. Treadmill tomorrow. I also need to figure out some other exercises to do. I haven't a clue where to start, and all I have here is a resistance band, and a pair of sissy-weight dumbbells. lol!

Wasn't that just tons of fun? Exercise yay!

Noooo..no, it wasn't. :p I'm glad I did it though!

I'd include some mega stretching with your workout if you've hurt your hip, it might be just the thing to loosen you up, there's a yoga move called 'hip flexer stretch' that might help. There's tons of stuff you can do with a resistance band and dumbbells, look up some routines on the TOOB, or youtube as some people call it (I don't).

Glad to hear the pooch is ok, maybe get her involved with the stretching too eh.

Thanks, Deck. :) I actually have been thinking about looking into yoga. I'll probably pick up a dvd or something. I used to have one a long LONG time ago, and I did enjoy it. The hip is feeling better tonight though. So that's good.

I've been writing on and off all day. My brain is mush. Goodnight all! :sleeping:
 
Just got done doing 45 minutes on the treadmill. Figured I would get it over with before my brain was awake enough to protest. :) I'm up like 2 pounds on the scale this morning. Pretty sure I'm just retaining water though. My calories have been excellent and I've been exercising. So, we'll see how the rest of the week goes. I wanted to be at 193 by Saturday.
 
I always have a gain or stall when I up the exercise. It will make for a dramatic drop once your body adapts. I will start exercising tonight. You keep it up!
 
Keep up the good work and the weight will come. You'll also have more energy to help you do the next 4 months or so of shoveling snow. :D
 
Hello all how is everyone first full week going I was wondering if anyone had suggestions for exercise with a knee injury tired of sitting on my butt.
 
So, I was working right along, and my work tool crashed. UGH! It's almost like it wants me to take a nap. lol! Hopefully it's back up soon. I have a lot to do today.


I always have a gain or stall when I up the exercise. It will make for a dramatic drop once your body adapts. I will start exercising tonight. You keep it up!

Yeah, I vaguely remember something like that happening the last time I started exercising, which was like the beginning of last year. It better adapt soon, damnit! lol! Thanks, Quercus! :)

Hmmm... not really sure. My mom is currently disabled and needs a double knee replacement. Chair exercises( you can find a bunch on Youtube) and swimming were recommended to her. I guess it would depend on how bad your injury is. Maybe someone else will chime in with some better ideas. lol. :)

Correction... the work tool was taken down for scheduled maintenance. AAAAAAAAARRRRGGGHHH! Here's an idea Ask.com... How about notifying the 500+ writers that you have that that is going to happen.... oh, I don't know...BEFORE it happens. SIGH. Sorry, needed to vent. It was either that or eat something. lol!

Plus your HW was about the same as mine! You are defo inspiring me!!! i m 273 and my goal weigh is around 180..
You have been doing a great job. Keep up the good work! Hope I can catch up with your weight eventually :p
