when the music isn't an option, I try to set a goal that is distance versus time, and i spend all that time trying to make sure i match the goal i set for myself. So for instance if i want to do 30 min, i may set a goal of like 3.5 miles, and then i spend all my time trying to make sure i hit i never really think about how long it took as much as i am think i have enough time to hit the goal! hope that helps.. (when the music player is down)
I will have to try that. Because when I don't have music, I find myself just staring at the timer on the treadmill...watching every single second tick by so slowly that it makes me want to scream. Oh, and I occasionally take a break to check my heart rate, and then I go right back to staring at the timer..hahaha! So I will definitely try that out...thanks!!
... Siiiigh.... spring is close though, the snow fleas are out, that's a good sign. I just wish it would hurry the hell up. GRRRRR!!
