Jen's Diary of Random Stuff.... Take Two!!

Yep - that's the attitude, Jen! A loss is a loss :)

I've found that cheat days are not always a great thing to have. Once and a while, sure, but to incorporate them routinely into your regimen seems (for me at least) to hinder your progress as you get closer and closer to your goal(s).

That's how it is for me right now, so I've pretty much put a stop to it.

Love those kinds of nights, btw! Relaxation, gaming, drinking.. yahhh :]

Hope your head feels better soon as well, Jenny!

Rest, rest, rest :)

AWell it's Monday! Back to the grind!

First a little about my weekend though, because it was an interesting one around here. There was a massive manhunt about 5 miles from my house for some crazy guy that ran off into the woods with an assault rifle and a handgun! He apparently got into an argument with someone and just took off into the woods. The details are limited, but the area has been covered by cops, police dogs, and helicopters all weekend. They still haven't found him, and I'm guessing probably won't. It was definitely the talk of this small town all weekend though..lol.

Other than that, there wasn't much excitement..lol. Chef had to work all weekend, so we didn't really do much. It was nice though, definitely relaxing.

Today I'm just waiting around for work to be loaded into the system...so I can ...well..WORK! Which would be nice. I'm short on my hours this month. Hopefully I can get enough between now and the end of the month to catch up. *fingers crossed*

and I leave you with this little gif that made me chuckle....

1000

Yeah, I'm starting to think that it might be time for me to start cutting back on the good ole' cheat days. They are just getting harder and harder to recover from. Oh well, it was fun while it lasted..lol! I took it a little easier this last Saturday and the scale is already reflecting it. So that's nice. :)

ANot much to report, other than I'm getting my butt kicked by allergies! I think I've sneezed about a million times in the last few days. :( I wonder how many calories sneezing burns? I'm sure it's not as much as I would like..lol! Weigh-in day is tomorrow! I'm going to guess that I stay the same this week.

Scratch that!

I'm probably going to gain after the dinner I just ate... lol!

AWeigh-In Day...... Yup, I'm up about a pound and a half from last week. I pigged out last night though, so I'm sure that wasn't helping on the scale this morning. The rest of my days were pretty good, so I'm sure it will even out eventually.

I'm so excited about next week!!! My kids FINALLY go back to school on Tuesday!! I'll have ALL day to myself! :hurray: I'm going to use my time during the day to get my work done, and also use the treadmill! I'm super excited!

Hi Jen,

I hope you are really enjoying these first few days of back to school. I know my mom always loved having all of us kids go back to school. I love treadmill work, I know that running outside is supposed to be better but I figure at least I'm running. Plus on the treadmill I push myself harder.

Best of luck this week. I'm working off a 2 lb gain from last week so hopefully we'll both have good weeks!

AThanks PEC! Well today was my first day of having no kids ALL day! I am not going to lie....it was GLORIOUS! :smilielol5: It was quiet, and I got a lot of work done. I didn't do the treadmill today(was enjoying the quiet and relaxation a bit too much), but I plan on doing it tomorrow morning, for sure! I also love the treadmill... There's no way in hell I'm running in public. That is just NOT happening. :p Good luck to you this week!

Haha :) Well, I'm certainly glad you're enjoying the relaxation and quiet, Jen :]

How are your allergies now? Has the sneezing slowed down a bit?

Oh, and I feel the same way about my running - no way am I comfortable doing it in public just yet! I'm still a little too self-conscious for something like that :\

Wish ya the best on your next weigh-in! :)

AGuess who just got up off her lazy butt and did the treadmill?!?! That's right...ME! YAY! :hurray:

AWell I had lost 1 lb when I weighed myself in on Saturday, BUT I'm sure I have gained that back, plus more! I was soooo bad this weekend. I'm really disappointed in myself. I started out taking a cheat night on Saturday, and well... it's still going. :blush5: I've been working all weekend trying to get a writing job done, and turned in. So, I've been sitting here with my head in my laptop, stuffing my face pretty much all weekend. Not good. Tomorrow I have to get back on track!

AWeigh-In day results... I lost about half a pound this week. So another half a pound and I'll have lost the 2 pounds that I put on two weeks ago. I wish I had lost more this week, but I'll take it. I've been super stressed out the last week or so, and snacking more than usual. Hopefully next week is better.

AHmm...scale says I'm down another pound this morning. I didn't really have a cheat day yesterday. I did go over by about 250 calories, but it wasn't even close to normal cheat day. I'll probably weigh-in again on Wednesday to see if it evened out or not. I like weighing-in in the middle of the week, so I know where I stand.

In other weight related news... Has anyone seen the story on? I feel so bad for him. He must be just miserable. I've always loved daschunds, never had one, but they are so darn cute. I joined his facebook page, and am loving his little updates. I'm so glad he's getting the help he needs, and wish Obie all the best on his weight loss! :)

A2 lbs down this week! That brings my total to 40 lbs lost since March! :hurray: To celebrate that fact, I'll be dining on Olive Garden tonight. Counter-productive and delicious. haha!

Congrats, Jen!! :hurray:

40lb since March is incredible! You certainly deserve a reward, but OG is definitely the anti-diet, lol (sooo good tho)!

Enjoy and congrats again!

Just watch out for the Never Ending Pasta Bowl! :p

Congrats Jen! Those are some great results from all your hard work.

I used to love the Olive Garden. But I have since realized I only really like the salad, soup and bread sticks. So now when I go i usually choose soup and salad.

I hope you had a great night out!!
